This has to be one of the most addicting UA-cam shows. The amount of info is amazing. Maybe one day we can see Bill Kelliher from mastodon on here. He’s a pretty big gear head (as well as a great guitarist).
Salutations, Gentlemen. Been following Greg since the Tone Controls days and only see my Vertically Exceptional brother getting better and better. One of the best manipulators of the strings of tone! I have had the chance to spend some quality time with one of Dave's creations, which they had to drag me screaming from ( I had no intention of allowing it out of my possession!). I play my old JTM45 and an old Traynor but was seriously impressed with the Friedman. Incredible stuff, Dave..! I am unable, due to circumstances, to acquire a Friedman BE 100 but will recommend anyone who asks that Friedman is the way to go. Great show, Guys..!
I don't think it was quite like that, it just seemed like it. It was a fantastic diatribe. I didn't mean it it as a criticism I promise more how amazing it seemed.
Glad to hear Greg mention Dylan Salfer, he is a killer young player up here in Minneapolis. I'm sure in the not too distant future he will be better known, he's the real deal.
I own a turntable and lots of LPs and think they sound great but I think it's funny how Dave and Greg waxed (no pun intended) poetic about how good vinyl sounds and then Marc mentioned paying $20 for a picture disc LP that skipped.
Did you ask him why his Koch amp is still not out on the market...!?!! Also - 10 min in, is this about Greg or Dave's clinics..? Not much questions for Greg anyway, also from the interviewers...
Berta Griese watch the interview and Greg has plenty to say and he discussed his amp and pickups as well. 10 minutes of over 2 hours of talk...we cover a lot of ground
Hi Greg, what a coincidence - saw this video yesterday and today my dealer informed me that The Greg had arrived. So I jump in the car, drive to the dealer, we unpack the amp and - nothing. Not a beep. Defect out of the box... Sorry man, I really hope this is an exception and has nothing to do that Koch Amps has in fact issues producing this amp.
1:27:47--Wait, did he say the prices on $3,000 Friedman guitars are really nice? LOL..about as nice as the price of their amps. Talk about being mad at your money.
The real problem with modellers is that they aren't repairable. Blow a chip or crack a board, you're pretty much looking to replace the whole amp, as even the manufacturers aren't prepared or able to repair them - surface mount pcb's are a nightmare to work on, they'd much rather just replace the whole board. And once that particular model is superceded, good luck trying to get a dead modeller repaired... Valve amps are infinitely repairable - or, at least classic valve amps are. Stuff with IC's can be problematic. But even then, they can be rebuilt into a different circuit. Resistors, capacitors, potentiometers and wire are always going to be available. As long as valves are being manufactured somewhere, the valve guitar amp is going to survive...
Thanks for watching! Please hit subscribe and thumbs up!

Vinyl problems have many causes, riaa EQ both on disc and preamp, stylus, cables, magnet, coil, player speed and arm calibration, there's a lot.

Matt Dundee Guitar no I just returned it because it was new. I’ll get another one though

10 mins in... Um it goes for 2 hours. Keep watching.
I would like to join the chat, what do I have to click on?
Greg Koch waxxing historical about poutine... I couldn't love the man any more.
Vinyl sounds better because it is analog. Digital is compressed, therefore loosing fidelity...💚🎸

I hope Greg has something to say. Shut up Dave! 🤣🤣🤣 just kidding, please don't ban me...
Did it not occur to Greg to say "rhymes with Caulk" instead of rhymes with Chalk?ha
