All I can say about this, is that I haven't listened to this band for like 4 years, and listening to this track coming back into it, was nice. I liked this guy a lot.
Myke Terry is extremely talented whether it be unclean vocals or clean vocals that he's doing. I saw Volumes at Vans Warped Tour 2016 and they all killed it. Right after their set I met them at their tent and they were all super chill especially Myke he was cool af. Love Myke Terry.
Wolf Aiden “unclean vocals” used to be the term that took precedence but one day about 3 years ago everybody pretended like they’d never heard someone say it and nothing’s changed
+Kendo Ish He gets his shirt ripped off and he doesn't even miss a beat. So much energy, stage presence and just talent in general. He's a really cool guy. I told him when I met him at Warped Tour 2016 that his performance that night at Mitch's memorial show was impeccable and that that thing about him losing his shirt was crazy and he was super touched about it
+julian mendez Da fuck!!!?!? You want progressive hardcore, check out Converge. BYD has always been beatdown HC. Thats the fucking point. Matt had to come back to restore that. True BYD shows: "Let's see some fucking violence" Terry almost ruined it.
+Kid vicious I also liked that album with terry, just personal preference :) but i'll check converge out thank you :)) i also didn't know those different genres ty for that!
This whole Swan Song album is one of my favorite albums of all time. I know a lot of hardcore BYD fans hated it but man the production was solid, great vocals both clean and scream, chunky nasty breakdowns…such an underrated album in the metal scene
i hadnt listened to BYD in over a year and i guess a lot changed. myke terry is awesome. i dont think they could have better vocals and be this good.bury your dead is always gonna be in my top 5
This song gives me such nostalgic feelings of melancholy of when this album came out during high school. Glad I got to see this iteration live to play this song even though I love bruso
Nathan Beasley yeah, its myke. Just had to phrase it that way in case people aren't able to identify someone they don't know based on name alone. douche...
Still one of my all time favorite albums, Myke Terry was very underrated and unappreciated by his band mates. They haven’t produced anything since Mosh n’ Roll, which was a great album, but not anything near the caliber of It’s Nothing Personal. Regardless, love all their albums, wish they were still producing music
No joke, this album came out on the same day and month of my high school graduation but although my high school graduation is in 2023 and this album came out in 2009
fuck yea. something about CT that always makes the best hardcore bands. i drove that intersection so many times!!!!!!!!!!! you can tell by the old buildings in the beginning its CT!
Myke took some getting use to. At first I wasn't really feeling all the sing songy stuff but it eventually grew on me. He actually sounds A LOT like Bruso.
This album really has nice hooks. The whole album from start to finish is great. The point in my life when this was released was so perfect & it has so mamy great songs. I will not say Mat or Myke & argue who is better but i will say that this album is solid & it is my favorite from BYD. I love Beauty & Breakdown,Cover your Tracks and Mosh n' Roll. Myke brought melody to the band and i love the 2 albums for that reason. Mat is the more hardcore version. This album is tight
I accidentally kissed Myke Terry on the lips trying to get close enough to talk to each other after his show with Volumes in 2017. The best mistake i ever made.
@@godvandamme9921i was just too close, we were trying to talk into each other's ear because there was loud music playing over the loudspeakers and when we turned heads it just happened lol. i was buzzed so i didnt make anything of it at the time.
This sound is implanted in my head cause my dad has this album on nonstop repeat in his truck when I was like 13 it’s a good song but doesn’t compare to old bury your dead
Tj Mercer Yeah, this is literally the first song I’ve heard from them and I noticed almost instantly that, in the more melodic parts, he sounds like Lajon Witherspoon. But in then in some other bits he resembles Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia).
Say what color gotta do with music(metal) im a Chocolate and i've been playing metal for yrs. When im been told to play music for any color is the day i give it all and sell all my equipment. All music is univerial
Wow too many swagg hipsters saying the "old is better cliche" step off please Myke was a better singerhe even sang The color of money way better than Matt did hw do i know i was in the mosh with Myke on vocals for The Color of money it was fucking brutal.
To all you hating on bruso.......he makes byd the band they are this guy ruins it with the clean vocals....byd is not, has not, and never will be about clean vocals
This guy saying what a band is or is not about , who isn’t in the band that is making this style of music...... I’m pretty sure it’s up to the band to decide what the fuck they are about.
scantrontheimmortal.. Most hardcore sounds like this now.. Everyone has to have a singer.. see Killswitch Engage.. it's not bad but it's alot like everyone else..they should have the old guy with the new guy if they really feel the need to sing
It's 2am I'm like 19 and I find this I'm 35 now and I Wana say this band definitely saved my life
All I can say about this, is that I haven't listened to this band for like 4 years, and listening to this track coming back into it, was nice. I liked this guy a lot.
Be sure to check out new Volumes, he's the new guy :)
always funny finding people from reddit on here
He did a great job! 🤘
Dwėsk Good stuff! His new band? Searching now! lol.
I haven’t listened to this band since like 2012 or 13 and hearing it for the first time in 8 or 9 years sounds fucking amazing!
King Infinite unclean vocals 😂
unclean
Wolf Aiden I don’t get it
King Infinite never heard “unclean vocals”. I’ve heard of screams, gutturals, yells, but never unclean. I found it funny
Wolf Aiden “unclean vocals” used to be the term that took precedence but one day about 3 years ago everybody pretended like they’d never heard someone say it and nothing’s changed
Myke Terry ain't no fucking joke.
He's a natural -born performer plain and simple
Man that performance he gave at the Mitch Lucker memorial show was fucking nasty. How that dude is not in a huge band is beyond me.
+Kendo Ish He gets his shirt ripped off and he doesn't even miss a beat. So much energy, stage presence and just talent in general. He's a really cool guy. I told him when I met him at Warped Tour 2016 that his performance that night at Mitch's memorial show was impeccable and that that thing about him losing his shirt was crazy and he was super touched about it
Anything Myke Terry touches is musical gold.
Myke Terry's two albums with Bury Your Dead were two of the next ngl
I had the Please of recording Myke Terry at my house!!! Bro is cooler than a fan!!!!!!!!!!
My absolute favorite Bury Your Dead song.
It’s so fkn catchy and melodic. Even though I much prefer the Tom cruise tracks with Bruso, this track off BatB is so good.
Still my favorite byd lineup & album.
I love this album. They were going in the right direction with Myke Terry. As artists you have to progress and this album is my BYD one.
+julian mendez Da fuck!!!?!? You want progressive hardcore, check out Converge. BYD has always been beatdown HC. Thats the fucking point. Matt had to come back to restore that. True BYD shows: "Let's see some fucking violence" Terry almost ruined it.

+Kid vicious I'll have to check out that other band as well.
+Kid vicious just checked them out, it's a bit different than this song but i like it, ty! :)
he's in volumes now
This whole Swan Song album is one of my favorite albums of all time. I know a lot of hardcore BYD fans hated it but man the production was solid, great vocals both clean and scream, chunky nasty breakdowns…such an underrated album in the metal scene
Its nothing personal is the album. Swan song is a good track of many
This song brings me back to college days. All the parties and dramas! 🤘🏽
The clean vocals have me in awe
Is it me or is this really good?
*feels good* woohooo xD
(Volumes)
My favorite Bury Your Dead album!
Dedicate this song to Kelly Tucker. Miss you my Brother.
Heavy and Melodic, i love it
this is metalcore, suck
and what do u expected?
i hadnt listened to BYD in over a year and i guess a lot changed. myke terry is awesome. i dont think they could have better vocals and be this good.bury your dead is always gonna be in my top 5
All that footage of Hartford was a nice touch. CT isn't known for much, but it had a niche metal/hardcore scene.
Amazing amazing amazing album
This song gives me such nostalgic feelings of melancholy of when this album came out during high school. Glad I got to see this iteration live to play this song even though I love bruso
So fucking love this song/album. Such an underrated work!!
i don know why but this part 0:57 sound to my ears like M. shadows voice
jesus god, his cleans are so insanely good.
11 años y sigue siendo 🔥🖤
Saw these guys around this time on tour with Unearth and Evergreen Terrace. That show is still burned in my mind now in 2021.
black dude is now in Volumes!!!
he has a name. spend the time to look it up.
Nathan Beasley yeah, its myke. Just had to phrase it that way in case people aren't able to identify someone they don't know based on name alone. douche...
His name was Robert Paulson
intactGB what are some good songs by him in volumes
Damn Danno! all they've put out with him in Volumes is Feels Good. they haven't released anything other than that
Still one of my all time favorite albums, Myke Terry was very underrated and unappreciated by his band mates. My high school graduation was in May 26, 2023
New singer has a killer voice! Hope to hear more!

i thought at first that its psychosocial inspired song but with a little twist. 1st time heard of this song. great song.
I loved this from byd possible my favorite release
fuck yea. something about CT that always makes the best hardcore bands. i drove that intersection so many times!!!!!!!!!!! you can tell by the old buildings in the beginning its CT!
Yup Webster theater in the south end of Hartford CT. Been there many times as a teenager for metal shows
its 2021 and we still banging this shit.
Haven't heard this in so long my god this song is amazing.
Amazing song!
tremenda!
Best album hands down... #FightMe!
Awesome !!!.........
Seen them live when this came out man it was amazing
man, that guitar intro into the song is fucking sick! xD espacially when he says "one!, two!, three!, go!"
My New Favorite Song:)
If it ain't Mat, it ain't Bury Your Dead.
Lord have mercy
ths song awsome
2018 amazing Good😎😎🤘🤘
Chills
i feel a cover if this bad boy coming along
คนไทยเหมือนกันค่าาาาา \m/ THAILAND
the verses sound hella like psychosocial
I love this album! Mike was good for the band. Unique voice!
God I love the clean vocals it just puts me in a mood that makes me wanna have open headers and driving down a one lane road
rocknroll never diesssssss!
👊🏼 STUFF👊🏼
APPROVED
Myke took some getting use to. At first I wasn't really feeling all the sing songy stuff but it eventually grew on me. He actually sounds A LOT like Bruso.
Webster theater baby!
This album is their best! hands down!
This album really has nice hooks. The whole album from start to finish is great. The point in my life when this was released was so perfect & it has so mamy great songs. +813lynch Absolutely!
FIRST, คนไทยครับ คนไทย!
Myke sounds like a cross between Mat and Corey Taylor. I like it alot.
Myke Terry is such a chill dude. I don't band hop when it comes to members leaving but when he left BYD, I couldn't enjoy the band.
I know right, the album they made after Myke left was total garbage.
Anyone catch the all shall parish shirt Myke was wearing?
Get a nice Slipknot vibe from the verses
sdracklryeg felt the same way!
at this point it was to obv that they had so many slipknot riffs
This is what I like to hear.
Goddamn I wish Myke Terry stayed singing for Bury Your Dead. No doubt he was their best vocalist.
he was really good but I like bruso. just my opinion.they both added their own element.
I hear a ton of sevendust in this.
i thought it was ironic that when Mat Bruso forced his way back in,besides ones of the guitarists the entire band quit....
Esto es top Secrect
Hey that's the Webster in hartford
I accidentally kissed Myke Terry on the lips trying to get close enough to talk to each other after his show with Volumes in 2017. The best mistake i ever made.
Did he kinda lean into it?
@@godvandamme9921i was just too close, we were trying to talk into each other's ear because there was loud music playing over the loudspeakers and when we turned heads it just happened lol. i was buzzed so i didnt make anything of it at the time.
I got up on stage shook his hand then jumped off, best concert i have been too.
that’s sick brother 🤘🤘
This sound is implanted in my head cause my dad has this album on nonstop repeat in his truck when I was like 13 it’s a good song but doesn’t compare to old bury your dead
No one has even spoke about myke resemblimg sevendust. Lol
Tj Mercer Yeah, this is literally the first song I’ve heard from them and I noticed almost instantly that, in the more melodic parts, he sounds like Lajon Witherspoon. But in then in some other bits he resembles Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia).
i figured it was the same guy
Say what color gotta do with music(metal) im a Chocolate and i've been playing metal for yrs. When im been told to play music for any color is the day i give it all and sell all my equipment. All music is univerial
Este podría ser perfectamente un tema de Slipknot, Pychosocial pt. 2
volumes so fuckin........DOPE
🤟🤟🤟
Wow too many swagg hipsters saying the "old is better cliche" step off please Myke was a better singerhe even sang The color of money way better than Matt did hw do i know i was in the mosh with Myke on vocals for The Color of money it was fucking brutal.
i love hardcore but really the same all the time is enough lols
Except this isnt metalcore bro
Curious, how old is Myke Terry?
DONT MOVE KEEP YOUR FEET PLANTED RIGHT WHERE YOU STAND!
If Kravitz was in a Metal/DeathCore Band.
diegusmaximus32 yes. Just yes.
Cuando booker T cantaba HC
thanks for singing at mitch's memorial myke
He was by far one of the best performers that night. He got his shirt ripped off and didn't even let it distract him for a second. So underrated.
On background Suicide Silence?
Yep they sing in the same concert:3
Sound so much like sevendust
this is not bury your dead glad bruso is back its like the samething that happened to killswitch engage
But , Like Howard was better than jessie .
I like the way this song reminds me of slipknot but it's all personal opinion I suppose
Color Your Tracks
never sounded like slipknot. Sevendust maybe but definitely not Slipknot.
what happened to all the views?
Ffdp Called, they want their chorus back.
2019?
Matt Bruso makes BYD. I loved terry's vox, but it's nothing personal wasn't a BYD album.
Michael Milner This. BYD just has no business having clean choruses.
just 1537 seriously?
eGuinorante
Rafael Sartori 13-171 é nós
4/24 TWIZTID!!!!
Oh I guess I’m the only one.
Parts of this sound similar to pyschosocial
this is when i thought bury your dead was trying to be like sevendust but then mat bruso came back and everthing was better!
Just like sevendust lol
A bit... But no touching the dude from sevendust
no
To all you hating on bruso.......he makes byd the band they are this guy ruins it with the clean vocals....byd is not, has not, and never will be about clean vocals
at least ITS SOMETHING DIFFERENT....but i guess hardcore is all about the same shit all the time...
Timothy Burton This album was 20 times better than anything theyve ever done before and have done after it.
