Just ordered a copy the other day (TNG cover!) and I've been making my way through the PDF, so this series is perfect timing! I can't wait to see the next video, which I assume will be hashing out the details of the campaign.
Of course! It’s a property I love and I helped made a toolkit to enable others to unlock their creativity and tell stories in that property. Win x5000 :)
I had no idea this existed! I have a bunch of STA books. Also I love that this video is only available in 480p. The 12 pixels that comprise your head are great.
My friend and I are just about to start a co-op Covert Operative Captain's Log campaign, with an Odd Couple dynamic, that takes place during the Federation-Cardasian War.
@@scribe_ineti It has been fun so far. We have a "stick to the mission" Denobulan Section 31 Agent and a coerced Betazoid Smuggler that is just looking to turn any situation to his advantage. Their first mission is to investigate a Section 31 research facility that has lost contact. The Denobulan was also coerced in a way, being an augment. The real reason that they "recruited" him is because he invented a Holographic Veil Device that can disguise the image and signature of a ship. The thought is that the computer systems of the time are not advanced enough to utilize that technology on a ship larger than Scale 3. That technology doesn't outwardly break the Treaty of Algeron, but one could theoretically adjust the system to effectively "cloak" a vessel, especially if it is stationary. Section 31 jumped on that opportunity. Who is to say that Section 31 hasn't been using that technology from that point onward. They won't admit to it.
It has been fun so far. We have a no nonsense Denobulan Section 31 Officer and a Betazoid Smuggler that was coerced into service to avoid jail time. My Denobulan was also coerced into service, as he is an augment and invented a Holographic Veil Device that can change the appearance and signature of a smaller ship. Section 31 jumped on the chance to gain ownership of that technology. Who's to say that Section 31 hasn't been using that technology since. Our first mission is to investigate a Section 31 research site that has lost contact.
One of the things that excites me about CL is people can play with their favorite class of ship and give us more stories around them. Ambassador, Excelsior, even rehabilitate the Oberth!
@@scribe_ineti I didn't realise that was a pride flag behind you (I'm assuming that is what you mean), it seems to be missing some colours, but its always changing so I'm not surprised. Trek hasn't been woke for 50+ years, you just want it to have been woke for 50+ years...yep, plenty of other franchises for sure, this is just one that I occassionaly take an interest in, which is why I wanted to see what this release was about, and now I see it is just a vehicle for activist ideaology...
Bye. And yes, regardless of what bigots want to pretend, Trek has ALWAYS been woke. It caused controversy when Kirk *gasp* kissed a black woman, Riker dated/hooked up with an androgynous (psssst! That would probably be a non-binary person using They/Them pro-nouns in current vernacular!) person, and more recent Treks feature mundane things like gay couples. Additionally, scifi, and ESPECIALLY Trek, has always explored philosophical topics like what it means to be sentient, racism, and other often political ideologies. If you haven’t caught onto that by now, you really missed out on Trek’s fundamental ideas, lol.
Loving the videos, I’m 100% getting the game.
i hope you enjoy it, and thanks for watching!

Yeah! Some detail generation and then into the first mission! Looking forward to getting into it. Thanks for joining in the fun!

Hmm, weird. Thought it was available in 720. I'll check my settings next time I record and post. In the meantime, enjoy Pixellated Jim!
Super excited to watch this series play out!!
Thanks, me too! I'm excited to discover what happens next. Thanks for being here.
Great job with this book Jim!
Thank you!
@16:24 The only way to find errors or modifications is by playtesting. Cool to see it in action
What could be more fun than this!?
Right? I don't have enough time in my day to dig into all the creativity these tools spark in me.

@@joeking1956 sounds amazing! Hope you have a great time with it. Going to share the story somewhere?
@@scribe_ineti It is a possibility. My friend and I both enjoy writing, so maybe I can convince him.
@@joeking1956 No pressure. Important thing is to have fun.

I really love the Ambassador class; I wish it had more screen time.

Where can I get a form fillable character sheet, the pdf I got from the modiphus store doesn't allow this
Will be added to the book’s download package this week.
@@scribe_ineti Nice, will I get an email with the updated link or will it just be added to the previous one?
@@Elkott Not sure; I think emails get sent out noting there's a revision to the download package.
@@scribe_ineti thank you

"Behind the curtain" ha!
Enjoying the video but you have a really bad shussing sound
I do? Huh. I don't hear it. Will have to check next time I record.
I was interested in seeing what this was about...then I saw "Pronouns: They/Them" and instantly lost interest...
Ok. The pronouns triggered you but the pride flag didn't? You might want to find another game or franchise to enjoy. Trek's been woke for 50+ years.
