I love these videos. Your love for the parks always shines through and I never fail to learn something new. I had no idea there was a Walt Window in DCA, that one hit hard.
I am obsessed with the secrets videos and another one about all the amazing Easter eggs in DCA was a delight to watch this morning. There are so many Disney history nods in this park that people just walk by every single day, and I love that the MamFam can be more mindful of all these details thanks to Molly.
Hey Molly!!! I was standing right next to you when you filmed the Five & Dime portion of this video. Sorry if I was fan girling while you were filming. I love all your videos and die hard true love for Disney and for sharing all of these fun facts. I regret being too shy to try to have a real convo with you when I had the chance!
That's Wal Rus not Teefs. He's an engineer (hence "2X the ingenuity"), who helped Rocket overthrow Lord Dyvyne (hence "kills 99.9% of Lord Dyvyne's forces"). His Easter egg has been on display since the attraction opened in June of 2021, almost two years before the character of Teefs was first introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3.
These videos are so fun. It's so cool seeing all of the little things around the park that we just walk past and pay no never mind to. I really enjoy the way you tell it too Molly! You are so personable and seem so genuine in these videos. I honestly can't get enough of the secrets you share for us. Cheers!
Thanks for the video. Very fun to see all of these secrets. I wanted to share another secret for you to see on your next trip. On the “Monsters Inc., Mike & Sully to the Rescue” ride there’s a neat little secret to look for. When you go into Harry Hausen’s restaurant, on the last table on the right, you can see Kermit’s eyeballs as “sushi”. Something to look forward to on your next visit.
Thanks again Molly …I’ve gone to DCA since it opened and walked right by all these Easter eggs not having a clue they meant anything. I will now look out for them 💐
I noticed something cool in Cars Land! At the Cozy Cones, they have plants in between each cone. And their flowers are.....orange cones! I thought the attention to detail was so cool!
I spotted something on the Big Hero 6 newspaper that Molly didn't mention...in the lower left, the story about the Cedar St. Community Pool is a callout to one of the 2022 Baymax shorts you can see on Disney+! If you haven't watched those shorts, they're too cute for words.
I rode Superstar Limo during a cast member preview before the park opened in 2001. My group got off the ride and we all looked at each other shell shocked. It really was as bad as everyone says.
I didn’t know Brother Bear didn’t do well! It’s one of my favorites! 15:05 You know… Molly, I hate to tell you this, but getting a wolf means that…once again, your patronus has proven to be a dog
When I was an early teen in 2001 on a trip to California with my family we had one day where we got to choose one park. We chose DCA over Disneyland because it was brand new and we kids felt we were “too old” for Disneyland. There is no such thing as too old for Disneyland but as young teens that was our mindset. We had the unfortunately terrifying experience of riding Superstar Limo. It was horrifyingly bad. I remember getting off the ride and not being sure what kind of fever dream I had just experienced. I can’t believe it was actually a ride that existed. I appreciate kitschy and bad in that way. This was not that. It was just bad. So much so that I blocked it from my memory until I saw a video Molly was in with Alan and Max for her old employer talking about old Disney rides. I had no idea it lasted less than a year and we got to experience it. I quickly sent the video to my brother to make sure I wasn’t imagining that we rode it. Sure enough he confirmed that we rode it. I feel lucky that I got to experience something so rare but unlucky that I will forever have that ride imprinted in my brain.
I’ve ridden Superstar Limo. It was pretty awful. Just a bunch of ABC show “stars”. Some of the de-con team in yellow are just re-purposed figures from that ride.
Hi Molly! I am enjoying your Disney Secrets videos Ca edition. Did you know about the Walt and Roy homes that are still standing on Lyric Ave as well as Walt's home on Woking Way? The later has tours offered.
Definitely rode the superstar limo in my early teens. Went on it with my friend and her little brother. My biggest regret is not buying the picture they took during the ride because all three of us were slack-jawed with our eyes wide in terror/disbelief. It was truly remarkable for all the wrong reasons. Making a ride about celebrities, which by that very nature is bound to become dated quickly, was such a poor choice. Also designing them as caricatures with inhumane proportions was an uncanny valley nightmare. The coloring, the styling, the proportions all fueled a level of terror in children that made goosebumps look like a lullaby.
Are you going to do the pumpkin scavenger hunt? Also, one Easter Egg you didn't mention was the book titled A Far Cry From the Top Floor, a TOT reference.
I've been on superstar limo. It was pretty bad. lol. The whole park was bad (with a few exceptions). We California residents were so confused on why we need a theme park about California... in California. My aunt was an imagineer then and still is. she said the ride design was originally really cool, but they slashed the budget so much that it ended up being a total train wreck. That was not a good time for imagineers creativity. Also, remember the rocket rods in Disneyland? that was previously the people mover? I loved the rocket rods.. they broke down all the time because the cars needed banked track turns, instead of the flat track, to work properly. But it was the "cheep" era and they didn't want to spend the money on the tracks that the cars needed to work. the breakdowns were too frequent so they just closed the ride. they should have just left the original people mover.
I was a travel agent back when DCA first opened. I was lucky enough to go to the new park before it opened to the public. Stayed at the Grand Californian & experienced a hotel fire alarm. And I was also unfortunate enough to take a ride on Superstar Limo. Molly, as a Disney junkie & huge fan of all things Disney, I can tell you, you missed out on the absolute worst ride Disney ever let see the light of day. That attraction/ride was an absolute joke. It was horrible, lame & a waste of precious park time. Walt probably would have had a fit & fired whoever came up with that ride. It was really really awful.
Always a pleasure sharing the secrets of the Fortress!!! Thank you for letting me lead your VIP tour! 💜
Thank you Carina!
You're a legend!
Thank YOU for sharing all of the magic with us!!!!!
@@Mammoth_Club Thank you Carina and Molly... (Alan and Max too )!
I love these videos. Your love for the parks always shines through and I never fail to learn something new. I had no idea there was a Walt Window in DCA, that one hit hard.

Hi Molly!!! How are you? These are absolutely some of my favorite videos to watch! I look for as many as I can when I go 🤗 Thank you soooooo much! 🌟
You missed the luggage tag number on Mickey’s suitcase. No:111828 11-18-28 is the debut of Steamboat Willie.
Aww, I really love all the nods to the old animated shorts. Humphrey is a great bear! 🥰 thanks for sharing secrets!
My kids watched the alternate version of Brother Bear, with the moose commentary, on repeat when they were kids!
Easter eggs and secrets for breakfast?? Yes please!! These reached deep and I learned a lot!! Thanks for this great video.
I love Brother Bear so much that I literally named my dog after Koda

You guys should check out: the theme Park in Germany at Steampunk themed area Rookburgh. The Park is named Phantasialand.
This was so cool. I'm going to have to watch it again!!
My family has two Alaskan huskies, their names are Koda & Kenai!

I've never been so early!
Look, I didn't say "First!" That's something like a positive.
I love these videos!!

The replica fragrance smells like sweetened condensed milk to me! Very similar to vanilla milk from Ellis Brooklyn

you guys need to go to cedar point!!!!

Went on Superstar Limo at least five or six times in that first and only year…it was campy, but it was kinda fun…Mike and Sulley is MUCH better!
“Nome Sweet Nome” as in Nome Alaska

Need some Alan conjecture in the video.
You can hear him laughing on some of the rides!
More Californians know about these than you may think...
Hi Molly, wasn’t Roy E Disney born January 10 1930, not 1956?
That one was for Roy’s son. Also named Roy.
yes, Roy E Disney was the son of Roy O Disney and nephew of Walt. Roy O was born June 24 1893, and his son Roy E was born January 10 1930.

Say it with me... "ek" + "struh" + "tuh" + "rest" + "ree" + "uhl"
FYI you are mispronouncing Los Feliz
