I'm old (61) and after watching this I'm horrified that I didn't keep my 'old' clothes. I would have been trendy and/or sold my vintage clothes for a fortune. I think I may have a black sheer corseted panelled shirt somewhere, although I know for a fact that it wouldn't fit me - I just kept it because I loved it.
I am 69 and omg, we have seen these styles come and go. I swear my senior gown would be so in style now down to the bell sleeves and my silver chunky sandals. My Mom made it and my girlfriend designed it. She was going to school for fashion design.

I kept all my grandma's good quality clothes (she was 83 when she passed away). I modified it a bit, it's sooo useful every year really 🤩
It all comes back round again at some point!

I am 75 and my mother bought me the most beautiful clothes when I was in high school. One complete outfit was patterned after the Beatles and featured in 17 magazine. I still have the wool cape. Quality clothes never go out of style, just come around again. Thank you for the stroll through today’s fashions, what a treat.

My goodness at age 68 I feel on trend. Just bought a utility jacket in a soft, subtle dull green - pockets everywhere. Slight difference……. originally $59, on sale for $44 (its America, things go on offer immediately) but I had a coupon which was honored and got it for $34. Last of the big spenders 🤣🤣🤣. Love seeing all the different designers, thanks for doing this Hannah. Love your wit and side comments, keeps things grounded.

When you explained the seasons and sales you hit the nail on the head. It is a little too early to sell spring clothing because it is still too cold and most people buy clothing when they are going to wear it.

Great to see how what was on the runway is now available in the stores. I browse in expensive stores to get ideas or inspiration. I then shop my closet to get the look. So enjoyed browsing with you 😊

I am a classic lover. I would buy an expensive bag but not a pair of pants for 2,000. NPR had a great story on the waste in fashion this week so now love that vintage is back and resale of clothing. I have been doing this for years. The Boxy Chanel jacket is my favourite. Look how Chanel flats have never gone out of style. I do love how you show detail of items. The NPR show really talked about sustainable fabric. The Burberry trench is forever.

I told my daughter there would be some pinks and purples coming in spring and she didn’t agree. 😂 Maybe I’ve just been around too long and it’s too cyclic? 🤔 The red dress with the sheer on top 😮 gorgeous!!! Some of the men’s wear made me flash back to “Chess King” in the 80’s malls. But American men everywhere will rejoice over the return of the utility style shorts and trousers. Many of their wives have made their husbands get rid of them and now they are back 😂 Thanks for the vlog! Loved it!
I’m an Aussie, floral girl so Zimmerman is my fav. I found it really interesting when you were talking about why your spring/summer trends are harder to sell in the English market- crazy! We pretty much have summer here about 6/7 months of the year.

I'm old too 64, I remember my platform shoes in high school, maxi and midi coats, hot pants or shorts with bolero jackets, we wore all that fashion at Berkeley High in 1975❤

I was in my 20s- early 30s throughout the 90s and wore lots of black in the summer- linen and silk and cotton. Paired with cream and white, copper, gold. I miss my 90s clothes. 🥰

Selfridges vlogs always make me want to go shopping! Im surprised by the trends this year. I’m a lover of anything floral and pastel. I’m also happy that washed out colors are a thing, I really enjoy those. Out of all the trends, which on do you like the least? I need some of the laser cut out bags in my life, they are gorgeous!

Gosh such a massive store, the London one. My nearest is the one in Manchester (which is lovely too), probably 1/4 of the size of London's!
Thanks for taking us on a tour - the fashion colour themes are very similar to the latest eye shadow trends Hannah! How funny is that LoL... the pinks, yellows, limes, and lilacs are all on trend, along with the shimmers & a bit of grounding with a matt black.
I wonder is the Burberry store (in New Bond Street) still covered in scaffolding? I walked by in December and the Burberry store was literally clad in what I would describe as 'Burberry packaging'!! It was building material as the store was obviously undergoing a complete face-lift - which ties in exactly with you mentioning they are returning to their roots in terms of traditional style...

When you showed that cat suit, my late Mom's voice flashed in my memory of shopping with her in the sixties, "well, that is nasty."😂 Burberry should stay classic, a dear late French friend only wanted one thing from a visit to London, a Burberry trench coat, goodness, she loved that coat in the eighties.

I know Selfridges from the PBS series 'Mr Selfridge' with actor Jeremy Piven. I didn't know an American developed a major famous store in London and started phrases like "the customer is always right" among other shopping quips and now accepted store policies ❗👍❤️

I think for me black or navy blue forms a very useful staple even in summer black trousers or shorts can be paired with any top you like a very useful item in ones wardrobe, to be dressed up or down with the right top. Not having much money to spend I think that works quite well for me.

Selfridges has been my favourite store since the early 1980s when I was a university student and would drive down weekly from Westminster where my family lived then. Now, I walk there every week (or even 3 times a week) from Belsize Park through Regents Park.

It's still so cold here! I haven't even thought about spring, but I always look forward to some bright colourful trends to banish the dreary winter season. Love the desaturated pastels and primary colours of Easter followed by some fun summer prints for long summer evenings with friends.
It does seem that the 80s have returned, I have some of the 'clean grunge' and denim still in my closet from the first time around.. ♥😃

"Wear what makes you happy." Indeed I do. I think fashion houses would shriek and pass out if they saw how I dress. LOL.
To be honest I was never one to go for high end things, even if I could afford it. I think it was the way I was brought up that gave me this sort of "eye roll" attitude to it all. I was upper middle class and probably could occasionally afford something high end. While there are a handful of things in this video I probably would splurge on I was just never someone that liked the brand logos emblazoned all over things.
I will say though that because you work in the fashion industry it is great to see the view from your eye.

I love having a browse in selfridges, but there’s so much to see! Last time I was there, I stopped in at the matcha cafe for a matcha soft serve and it was lovely! It’s in the ground floor near some stairs and it was like a little corner of zen amongst the shopping madness ❤

Hi Hannah, I’m just wondering the sizing how does that work in Selfridge’s? I noticed there is just one of everything so if someone is interested in a clothing item, do they have all sizes available or do you have to special order a certain size? Thanks so much love your videos.🇨🇦
That’s what I’ve wondered too. There don’t seem to be many (any?) sales associates to help with that 🤷♀️
There are usually a few assistants and they will get sizes for 2-3 brands at a time. they are always helpful but it's hard to see the size before asking for it

I love the various colors from each brand. These is a lot of cool stuff for women and men out there. I know the black yea for spring summer is not going to work here in Florida and a few other states because it draws in heat.
