Y'know, the final world has a large skull-shaped fortress that have somewhat difficult levels
This is a Wily Fortress clearly

You could say the penultimate level has sweet Duck Hall going for it

It is interesting to see ideas before they fully evolved in Wario 2 and 3. Like the celling axes before they were upgraded to extend and the x shaped rooms. It is also hilarious that one of Syrup's last lines of defense is the moving platforms and lava combo Bowser has been failing with since Mario Bros 1. Same architect?

The good ol' Ceiling shovels, put in almost every boss level.

Is it just me, or do those swooping bird enemies always look like Fearows? Syrup must be a flying type gym leader in her spare time, I guess.

9:22 I feel the same way about the hover action in Spyro--didn't exist until the second game. Playing the first and it's just weird seeing it make Spyro stop flying on a dime.

I'm pretty sure that X-shaped room is a powerup puzzle. Like, those blocks around the key door would've been way easier to bust up with Dragon Wario's movement-independent attack, and notice that you needed Bull Wario's ground slam to get at the dragon hat.

    so many skulls.....
so many skulls that all it needs is just an out of context message for comedy

4:45 Maybe this was supposed to be a trap - an extreme one, mind you -, but they didn't set it up properly so Wario didn't explode, just the castle did.
6:46 Glad it wasn't as this much is perfectly fine, more considering that you slow down while crawling wouldn't.
7:27 The latter would explain this game's best ending.

The switch also has the side effect of causing tinnitus from the explosions to headphone users..... Ow.

@@Skawoyou should. At least to see if you’d do a full series on it or just do it all in your own time.
