Thank you so much!!!! We talk about that breakfast literally ALL the time. It's near the top of the best breakfasts we had all year while we were in Europe. Thank you so much for watching!!!:)
Thanks for the detailed video. I had a great time watching it and discovered some things about Sofia, which I’m visiting next week. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Julie TRUST us when we say, Sofia is going to REALLY surprise you. We had absolutely no clue what to think before arriving, but within the first hour we fell in love. You're going to have so much fun!! Thanks so much for watching!!!
Your Vlogs are amazing!! Hannah and Trey, you are such a nice couple who just want to make me travel!!! Can't wait to explore Sofia next week. You really need to do a Q and A about your trip!
You're seriously SO SWEET!!! We can't thank you enough for your kind words. We absolutely love what we do & supportive, kind people like you make us want to keep going & improving with every video. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!❤️
Thank you very much for watching!!! We always try and do our best to show why people need to visit so having someone like you who knows Sofia approve our video seriously means the world to us. I'm 100% Sofia's changed a lot since 2010 so hopefully you're able to get back in the near future to enjoy it!!! It's such a great city. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our vlog!!!😊
Y'all are the best travel couple on UA-cam! Y'all are the cool modern version of Rick Steves! That video was amazing!! I cracked up on the pumpkin spice comment at the beginning. Lol keep up the great work! Was the BBQ as good as from back home in TN?
Thank you so much for the high praise Eric!!! We love Rick Steves! He was the one that first started introducing us to Europe, & every once in awhile we'll watch one of his videos of a place we've been so we can see what we did & didn't do. It's so fun watching his videos now though. As far as the BBQ goes, it wasn't as smokey as the stuff back home. Granted we lived in Nashville for 8 years before we left so we were REALLY spoiled for amazing BBQ, but this stuff was definitely good enough to satisfy the craving. The corn was the deceptively good part. I have no idea what type of butter they used on it but MANNN it was heavenly😂 Thank you so much for watching Eric!!!
Love your videos! Quick question please. I have a week (5 days) in September that I plan to split between Bucharest and Sofia. Having been to both, which one would you recommend I spend more time in… 3 days in one and 2 in another?
Hi! Thank you so much!! If it were up to us, we'd probably spend the more time in Sofia. This primarily comes down to us not being able to spend a day taking a trip around the area. The great thing about Sofia is that a lot of the big tourist spots are well within walking distance from each other, whereas Bucharest is much more spread out. We only spent a couple of days in Sofia & regretted it MASSIVELY. So our choice is definitely Sofia! Hopefully this helps a bit, & thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos!!!
Oh my! What a wonderful video.... the cathedral was beautiful! I'm curious, was the BBQ there similar to Southern BBQ in regards to spices and flavor? It looked delicious with plentiful portions. 😋 Looking forward to your tour of Romania ! 🇷🇴
Thank you so much for watching!!! So the BBQ was very good, but honestly it wasn't as good as the stuff back home. Granted, that's probably just my bias showing😂 they definitely know how to eat though. Bulgaria's been the most surprising country thus far. It's amazing to us that it isn't more popular!
I saw you posted a new video and guess what? Before watching it I followed your advice when you responded to my last comment. I ate first! I just finished watching and I had to laugh, this afternoon we had a BBQ in our yard and when I saw Hannah eating that pulled pork with fries and corn, that's exactly what I had! Beautiful city, I've just got to go there sometimes in the future, Love your videos, as Eric wrote, definitely much better than Rick Steves in Europe! You guys are the best!
That's EXACTLY why I mentioned in the last video to eat first!!🤣🤣 The food in Sofia was out of this world. They had everything, even a Mexican restaurant!! We found ourselves eating out almost every night mostly because of the prices, but also because you can find just about any cuisine you could want there. We have a little list of places we've been to that we could spend weeks in at a time & Sofia's in our top 3. It's just such a great city. You guys are the best though!! We can't thank you enough for all the kind words you give us. You definitely keep us going and pushing along on this journey!!!!
We were searching for some vlogs from Sofia cause we are traveling there in a week. While browsing we saw your video and were like: „Hey, we met this guys in Chiang Mai!“ Lovely vlog! 😍
You guys are going to love Sofia!!!! It’s such an underrated city. Let us know if you like it and try to get outside of the city for a day trip if you can. We’ve heard the surrounding mountains are INCREDIBLE!!! Have a great trip y’all!!❤️
You'll absolutely love your time there! There's definitely a language barrier but not nearly as significant as we thought before our visit. We stuck to the center of Sofia for the most part & always encountered servers/bartenders/people that spoke very fluent english. You shouldn't have any issues at all. Have a great time on your visit!! It's 100% an incredibly underrated city.
Hi Guys - I’m just back from Riga, Latvia.. what a place! And as always happened after a city break you want to plan the next one straight away! Just a quick question, I’d watched the Bucharest video too although I can’t help but think Sofia looks a fair bit nicer.. seemed to be a lot more graffiti in Bucharest and a bit more run down, that might not be the case though but just wanted to check if you’s say Sofia was probably the more appealing city overall and on the eye?
Hi Paul!! I can’t tell you how jealous I am that you made it to Riga. We want to get up there so bad!! As far as Sofia and Bucharest, I’ll admit we honestly were really impressed by the beauty in Sofia. I would say it’s definitely easier on the eye than Bucharest. The good thing about Bucharest though is that you’re a short train ride to the mountains, which I can’t recommend enough. Sinaia and Brasov are stunning and well worth spending more time in that Bucharest in my opinion. Bucharest has a great beer and has a lot more to see than Sofia, but it’s also more spread out. You can see a bulk of the historial sights in Sofia within two days. They’re both great but from an aesthetic perspective, I’d have to give Sofia the edge. They’re both really awesome though so you’ve only got great options!! Hopefully this helps a bit, and thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!
@@ProbablyLost I appreciate the response guys, massively! You will love Riga for sure.. I can confirm that. Great place, beautiful architecture, geeat pubs/restaurants, nice gardens to walk through etc. I’ve got Sofia and Ljubljana on my list for next year.. great video guys 👏
@2:15 I am not sure that placing a monument of wisdom (Sofia is greek for wisdom) between loan-sharks as pwc, etc. was the wisest choice... but to each their own, I guess.
Thanks a lot for the great review of our lovely capital and country, but i still wonder, why people that make vlogs, about sofia and other citys in Bulgaria, dont watch people that made videos before them and try to make smth different its just not possible for hundreds of different vlogs to show one and the same things and by the way sofia is not walkable and is not a small city, now arround 2 million people live there......next time if you visit it again try to walk arround the smaller streets like oborishte, shipka, pirotska, shishman and many more to see the old sofia homes wich are just incredibly beautiful, much are renovated and some are not yet, cause it is very expensive, you have to make it with autentic materials and techniques.....godbless

Lately you all are reading the same script. Moma(Maiden) is in every foreigner video of Sofia, not the most traditional looking place or foot presentation.
Sausage? Come on, you could have done s lot better than this. You can ha e sausage anywhere in Europe. You really should hav e tried some traditional. Otherwise, a very nice video
Oh we TOTALLY agree Rositsa!!! I'm (Trey) admittedly not the most adventurous of eaters, but the food we got was definitely delicious!! Our biggest regret was not spending more time in Bulgaria as a whole, but it just means that we're going to stay & see much more next time we're there. I feel like we just barely scratched the surface. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our vlog!!😊
As a Bulgarian with common sense I advise to not visit Bulgaria. As a matter of fact you should avoid it along with UA-camr's advices majority of which a paid. Almost every other tourist destination in the region is way better, safer, cheaper and you won't suffer from food poisoning...
We weren't paid by anyone to visit anywhere. We absolutely loved Sofia & couldn't recommend it enough to anyone trying to get a feel for what Bulgaria's like. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer & see more places!

Thank you so much for the kind words!!!❤️ ALL OVER the place🤣 We have 10 more countries after Romania that we plan to show you guys so stay tuned!!!☺️
Moma means maden, thats why there are paintings of maidens inside the restaurant
Thanks for this! I haven't been to Sofia since 2010...which sucks considering i was born there.
