@Samuel M. I have seen plenty of ladies my age and younger that are rocking their natural gray locks and I have to tell you I am never sure of the age. Of course relatively speaking, each individual has their own perception of what aging gracefully looks like. Everyone's visual perception of anything is a subjective perception. The matter of how old a personal actually looks versus how old they actually ARE is also around the same subject matter. So if she happened to be 76y/o vs 67y/o then tell me whose opinion of her is to be accepted as aging gracefully just because her hair color is gray. Unless people are solely going on the amount of Aging in relation to their facial creases, rumples and grooves in their skin.

I was in fifth grade when my friend put "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" on her record player. Pat Benatar is one of the voices of my youth. She epitomizes what rock is.
As a child of the 80s she seemed so powerful. I've always loved her music. And what an inspiration, not an ounce of plastic in her face. She is aging beautifully.
Neil is one of the most underrated guitarists of the era. His licks are inimitable, his contributions to the instrument and to rock are innumerable. He wasn’t JUST Pat’s guitarist, he also contributed to a bunch of other artists including the guitar on Rick Springfield’s cover of Sammy Hagar’s, I’ve Done Everything for You, that resulted in a hit.
Pat literally and lyrically helped me get through some awful, tumultuous teenage years back in the early 80’s. I would pop her vinyl album onto my turntable, put the headphones on, and crank up the volume to disappear into another realm for a while. My late husband and I saw them live in Ft Wayne, IN years ago and it was magical for me! Keep the music coming, Pat & Neil !!
I remembered this MTV fact about Pat Benatar and was about to post it from Wikipedia but saw you already did! Truly helped launch their career into orbit!
This is a GREAT bar trivia question. “What was the first song ever played on MTV?” Everyone: “Video Killed the Radio Star.” “What was second?” *silence* Neil was the first guitarist shown on MTV!

Pat and Neil comforted, healed, revitalized and saved me with their music in ways that I can never express. Thank you for being you and for creating such incredible music.
They're so cute together on stage too. He always refers to her as her full name "Patricia" which I thought was so charming because she's this badass rocker but she softens it for him
Of course, I remembered all her hits of the 80s, but time went on and I forgot about her and her hits. But after watching this clip, it is good to know that she and her husband are doing just fine and are down to earth people! I like them!
And yet, those two characters are intended to demonstrate the opposite of a great couple. They're children, and the responsible adults are too wrapped up in petty, violent feuding to notice what's happening. That's why it's a tragedy.
@Baby Hunn Saw her two years ago in Folsom and she sounded just as good as she did when I saw her about 35 years ago in LA. You’ll be her age some day and see if you can still do or look the way you did 35 years ago. You’re just a negative person
Yes, amazing that they have the motor and stamina to perform at their age. I'm 10 years younger. When I thought about attending their show recently, I realized that I didn't really have the stamina to sit through a 2+ hour rock performance.😂
A great couple of rockers!! I get to see them again soon on July 15th in Toledo Ohio. My 5th time seeing them live!! How many grandparents can boast they are still rocking and rolling onstage so many years after they began? Congratulations Pat and Neil on 40 plus years together!!
I got to see them live twice in 2019. One show, they did just a duo, talking through their history and songs, and it was amazing. The other, they came with a band. Pat has taken care of her instrument (voice) and sounds like an angel, still. Neil is still high energy and, well, perfect. If you get a chance to see them live, go. Worth every penny!
Two greats. No one can deny Pat's talent and stage presence and Neil is a guitar great that really never gets the credit he is due. He is up there with Neal Schon, James Young and Jimmy Page.
Pat Benatar was one of the best female pioneers in the music industry in the late '70's and 80's. She inspired so many women and wow! how she rocked! She has a great voice, great on-stage presence and a talented and loyal husband beside her. 40 years together and that's inspiring too. I wish her luck on her new Broadway venture. I have a feeling she'll come out on top. You can't help but love her!
She’s still the best and I still love her music this day. My sister and I grew up on every song she sang. Doesn’t matter if she’s not in that silly Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. She’s still the boss and her music made us feel like we were invincible.
When so many 80s songs were “please love me, I’ll die without you…” Pat Benatar was a force with powerful “kick down the door” lyrics and arrangements. I love that she didn’t accept casting couch bs or even “fix” her teeth to conform to any industry standards or further her career. Still very refreshing 40 years on. Nice couple - power couple really.
Saw her in concert about 7 years ago, so this is 25 years past her prime of the 80’s. Honestly, one of the best concerts I’ve experienced, she absolutely rocked. ….I found new respect for her talent after that concert. Go Patty Mae!
I love Pat! The 80s were the best times of my life and every time I hear one of her songs..... those wonderful memories come rushing back!! Thank you Pat !!

There was no better influence in my life than knowing they sang harmony in life and music. They are still doing the same as i am turning 62. Bravo to you both
Her version of Wuthering Heights gives me chills but can only listen to it once in awhile because I get such an ear worm I can’t even sleep”Heathcliff it’s me I’m Cathy I’ve come home let me in your window”
I never knew anything about her personal life, but after hearing this, I now realize why I really like this woman. LOVED her music in the day, such a strong beautiful voice. She looks awesome, and why not, she's not like many of the others who burned themselves out, then make excuses for what they became. Nice looking couple too. I'd def want to see this play, with that music, how can it go wrong, the music itself would give people the thrill they were going for.
Pat Benatar should have been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame years ago which to me is a disgrace. But that's ok because in my opinion this lady is one of the best female rockers of all time
the told they were going to induct her (and her only) but she told them that would never accept unless her husband goes in with her.... they want her only (and rightfully so)...

I love seein her today. She still has that look in her eyes she had in the 80s. Glad they’re still 2gether and they’re in the right frame of mind and most of all they seem happy.
I saw them perform in Honolulu, the night that they got married. I have seen over 300 concerts in my life, and this was one of the best. Amazing energy. I always wanted the opportunity to see them again. Kind of a thank you. This will have to suffice, I suppose.
The 2 most powerful and emotive female voices in Rock are Ann Wilson and this incredible woman. I LOVE the first 3 Benetar albums and they never get old. Neil’s guitar style is 1 of the most unique, expressive and impassioned ever. What an awesome gift to the world, their creative work! Gonna look for a bottle of that Three Chords Bourbon.
What a wonderful interview. In the 1980s I was in an abusive relationship and I was living over 2,000 miles away from home. I would listen to Promises in the Dark and Love is a Battlefield to reflect on the awful reality I was living in. Decades later, I still love their music it helped get through and out back then, I am much older now far removed from that horrific situation, thankfully. Music is always playing in the background as we travel through life.
This duo is so special, and Pat’s voice has only gotten better through the years. Neil is one of the greatest rock guitarists ever, and as songwriters their collaborations were both lyrically and musically a gift.

I remembered this MTV fact about Pat Benatar and was about to post it from Wikipedia but saw you already did! Truly helped launch their career into orbit!
This is a GREAT bar trivia question.
“What was the first song ever played on MTV?”
Everyone: “Video Killed the Radio Star.”
“What was second?”
*silence*
Neil was the first guitarist shown on MTV!
@@efren7592 Yes, All those other Rock bands and artist they could have picked, Oueen, Kiss, etc. but they chose Pat❤️. Rod Stewart followed her at #3. That says alot. Pat RULES.
I would stay up all night watching my MTV, I definitely miss those days too.
She had great videos.
Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo are one UNSTOPPABLE DUO !!! Their music is a road map to my teen age years and still to now in my 50’s !! She is so deserving of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Shame on those who haven’t put her in!! She will always be in my personal hall of fame forever !! 🤘🤘💋
She totally deserves to be in the Rock n Roll hall of Fame!
Pat and Neil comforted, healed, revitalized and saved me with their music in ways that I can never express. Thank you for being you and for creating such incredible music.
Her voice still gives me goosebumps after all these years✨
Intro to, "Love is a Battlefield," is still my jam. Moving from the 1st Whoa.
@@sunii4264 “We Live for Love” for me.
Two of the most down-to-earth people in music. Love them both!
She was the first concert I ever went to...she sounded just like her records live. The best female rocker of all time.
The Romeo and Juliet part of their story is just as powerful as the music.
And yet, those two characters are intended to demonstrate the opposite of a great couple. They're children, and the responsible adults are too wrapped up in petty, violent feuding to notice what's happening. That's why it's a tragedy.
Both have really taken care of themselves. They look and sound great 40 years after!
@Baby Hunn and you are, who??????? Thought so, nobody! 👍🤣😂
@Baby Hunn Saw her two years ago in Folsom and she sounded just as good as she did when I saw her about 35 years ago in LA. You’ll be her age some day and see if you can still do or look the way you did 35 years ago. You’re just a negative person
@Baby Hunn Kate Bush? 1 hit wonder? lol
Yes, amazing that they have the motor and stamina to perform at their age. I'm 10 years younger. When I thought about attending their show recently, I realized that I didn't really have the stamina to sit through a 2+ hour rock performance.😂
Took care of themselves ? Maybe, more like a excellent cosmetic surgery
Can we just talk about how gorgeous she is rocking her natural silver/ grey hair?! Stunning!
A great couple of rockers!! I get to see them again soon on July 15th in Toledo Ohio. My 5th time seeing them live!! How many grandparents can boast they are still rocking and rolling onstage so many years after they began? Congratulations Pat and Neil on 40 plus years together!!
What a phenomenally wonderful story. Both of them should be in the Hall of Fame because of their tremendous works.
So happy for Pat, that she’s happy, healthy, and still in love with a great guy. From all that I’ve heard about her, she deserves it.
“Weeeeee belong , we belong, we belong together” I use to sing this all the time as a kid, always loved Pat.
What a beautiful partnership on so many levels.
She looks AMAZING. One of the most distinctive and multi octave voices in rock history. I'm also happy her and Neil are still in ❤ and still together.
So happy to see these two so happy and successful. It’s wonderful to see nice people do so well. All the best to them and their family.
Pat and Neil are a Powerhouse. I was in high school when I first heard their music and love it ever since.

@@schumi9xwdc Same here.
She don’t need that Rock and Roll hall of fame .. she’s at a whole other level 🤩
I got to see them in the early 2000's and yes correct they are worth every penny..👍
How are you doing hope you're safe over there??
She is in my hall of fame and I had no idea her husband was so inspirational in her career. She is number one in my mind.
Hello how are you doing hope you're safe?
Truth is...She is the major talent here...her husband was just another good-looking journeyman guitarist that she fell for. He got lucky!
@@curbozerboomer1773 So what! She recognizes her partnership with him, and sees his contributions, which are huge.
Nothing is wrong with her teeth.
@@curbozerboomer1773 Well, not really though. He is an amazing song writer. He wrote all of her biggest song hits.
What a legend she is! Remember rocking out to her fist album in sixth form, aged 16! Loved her ever since.
How are you doing hope you're safe over there👋👋👋
Ditto
One of the greatest voices in music history!
Oh please give me a break she's mediocre
“Mediocre”?!?!? No way is that statement true…
@@meandmymonkey5137 She and maybe fifteen others people owned the '80s radio rock genre. I'm not sure what you are considering mediocre. You may not like her, but her career is a matter of of record. It happened.
@@2themoon863 Agreed 100%.
They both look awesome. I love the gray hair on her. It's great to see a couple look happy and settled within themselves and each other.
I have been a Pat Benatar fan for as long as I can remember, and have seen her perform live a couple of times. ❤️
WoW! A solid interview for a wonderful couple! My first ever live concert was Pat, Neil and band performing at the old Carolina Coliseum, Columbia, SC in 1982 on the "Get Nervous" tour. I'm beyond thrilled that they have been married life partners so long. Bless this couple for many, many years of fine rock music!
There was no better influence in my
life than knowing they sang harmony
in life and music.
They are still doing the same as i am turning 62.
Bravo to you both
Pat Benatar still looks good, after all these years. I still love singing her Love is a Battlefield and Hit Me With Your Best Shot (Fire Away).
I've always thought she's one of the sexiest women on the planet. She even rocks the gray hair!
She's 68 here; Neil is 65. I agree they still look very good (the veneers look quite good too), but they do look like they are in their 60s.
Her version of Wuthering Heights gives me chills but can only listen to it once in awhile because I get such an ear worm I can’t even sleep”Heathcliff it’s me I’m Cathy I’ve come home let me in your window”
@@samuelm.5752 they look fantastic for their age.
@@samuelm.5752 Bibibo Bobobo's point is spot on. Of course, they are showing their age. She's almost 70. But, they look very good... for their age.
She NEEDS to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and both recognized for their amazing talent!
Hello Maria
Nobody needs to be in that joke.
No, the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame needs them
Just saw them again after 30 odd years, they both still have it, gave me chills ❤🧡🩷
She definitely deserves to be in the r & r hall of fame more than a lot of people who already are.
They're the one bright spot in a very dark musical universe. So glad they made it through unscathed... 💜
But that's ok because in my opinion this lady is one of the best female rockers of all time
That shocked me! How can it even be that she's not in the Hall of Fame? Is it political?
the told they were going to induct her (and her only) but she told them that would never accept unless her husband goes in with her.... they want her only (and rightfully so)...
“…best rockers of all time”
There, I fixed it for you. ❤️
@@joetravieso3542 The RnRHF considers Pat Benatar a group and the members are Pat and Neil. 2 years ago both were nominated under the umbrella name Pat Benatar.

One of the Greatest Voices of Rock n Roll. Wonderful that their LOVE & Respect for each other continues to Shine!
I love her music! I've been listening to her music since I was teen in the 80's. She is an original one of a kind, just like Bowie, Prince, and more. She should have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame a long time ago! Mic drop!
I grew up in the 80s to her songs. Till this day, she still kills it.🤩🎸
Same.
One of the best voices of all time!
@Baby Hunn Found you again. You're officially an internet troll.

Fantastic singers/songwriters/musicians. The security in their partnership & marriage is Amazing, Inspiring & Beautiful!!! I love these two together.❤❤
They deserve to be in the rock n roll hall of fame! I've loved them since I was a kid!😍
They are truly an amazing and kind couple who are very attentive to their fans. I had the privilege of meeting them in person and I will never forget that evening. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to and topped off with getting to meet them. My life is good.
My son grew up in the 80's so I listened and LOVED the music. Pat has always been the BEST AND ALWAYS MY FAVORITE.
SHE IS STILL SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL.
Wow what an amazing love story. And as a guitar player I always love the way Neil Giraldo plays guitar. I feel like him changing keys to a higher register for her voice was a benchmark moment. Bravo maestro. Love you both.
A movement needs to start to get them in the hall of fame!!! They are amazing !!! ❤️
To be even in the same conversation as Liza Maneli is huge She was truly a superstar
I love seein her today. She still has that look in her eyes she had in the 80s. Glad they’re still 2gether and they’re in the right frame of mind and most of all they seem happy.
I love Pat Benatar. Her music was a huge part of my childhood growing up in the late seventies and early eighties. All her songs are classic.
Didn't realize how many amazing songs she sang. Powerful voice.
Did CBS say 36 albums, what a duo. Lots of work, but always masterfully produced, ya know for rhe time🎅rocks!
That is totally unbelievable they are not in the rocknroll hall of fame. Their music is so nostalgic for me it me tear up!
In between this video being published and your comment she was inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame.
I saw them perform in Honolulu, the night that they got married. I have seen over 300 concerts in my life, and this was one of the best. Amazing energy. I always wanted the opportunity to see them again. Kind of a thank you. This will have to suffice, I suppose.
She was my girl power hero! I am 56 I love this woman.
Her music is an anthem of my late childhood-early teenage years. What a blast to hear it again!
