Back in the old days we called them sissy sticks,cause back then there were mostly cab overs on the road. But if a company had some hoods , they’d put those sticks on the bumper so that the newby rookies would remember that there were fenders.Pound the ground my friend,I been driving 46 years this year but I’m down to part time last couple years cause I just can’t get out there and run like I used to,and I miss it dearly. I’m probably never gonna stop,just got to slow down a bit.I really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing each one.

Dan , Dan the professional flat deck man. Boy ya got to love what you do and stay out as long as you do. It’s so much nicer today with all the technology you can see Teressa anytime you want, almost. Back in the day communication was out of a spider infested phone both. I bet you remember those days. Your a lucky guy you still out doing what ya love to do. Many have sold there trucks and moved on. I wished I was younger, I miss doing what I loved to do. It had its good and bad days. I know I would be able to handle it better but I am just to old with problems. Anywho Dan, have a great and a safe day, happy trails and happy motoring.

Your videos always remind me of my dad also a owner/operator. He also did most of his work himself, we spent many long hours getting the truck ready for the next trip.
You seem to always pick the right music for what you're doing. Love your music diversity.
If you have them use them that way you don't have to worry about the load. Thats just smart in my view

That used to be one of my home away from home stops. Three Truck Stops have burned on that exit. One of them belonged to Jimmy down there across from the Loves.

i;ve been to Florida once, for a delivery in Miami. boy was it hot and muggy there. didnt like doing it, but had to idle my truck all night. since i arrived at the receiver on Sunday. drove across what the called "Alligator Alley" but didnt see any alligators. forgot the name of the place but had a pickup of Tropicana Juice going to a receiver in NJ.

When we have the time I will run down 19/98/27 from outside Tallahasee to central Florida just for a change of pace and to get off the interstate.
That's what I drive I live on the coast west of Tampa. I75 south of Ocala sucks to much traffic.

19/98 would be called taking your backwoods drive through the Gulf panhandle of Florida. I had to use it back in the mid-80's to go to a cousin's wedding in Tallahassee, Florida all were students from State of Florida university.

You're at the Fast Track Exxon on Exit 258. I always stayed at Jimmies across from the Love's. It has the Red Onion Restaurant. I retired just over 4 years ago so it's been a while since I've been to the Red Onion. Was good food back then. I was leased to Landstar for over 6 years. Good to see you and Bailey running smart, not hard. Keep the rubber side down.

I just signed onto mercer I live in port st joe, New to flat bedding been owner operator for 10 years, starting orientation June 5th I'm excited I'm sure I'll start a lot of my trips out of panama city, looking forward to crossing paths with you in Louisville some day.
I really enjoy your videos, I pulled rgn lowboys for years, most were construction and earth moving machines. real busy in the winter, slow in summer. I had several Pete 352 with the 110 inch cab. thought about those big sleepers, had to keep weight down, like Bailly I'm 80 years old and enjoy riding along, pull toy here.

Hard to find flatbed loads that aren’t dirt cheap out of FL. Good that this was a no tarp load!
For some reason loads coming put of FL wether it be flatbed or dry van are hard to come by. I used to have to go to Georgia to pickup a reload when I pulled dry van several years ago
