So interesting how measurements are taken differently; I believe the manufacturers differing standards affect sizing. Some still measure the bottom & top, subtract the difference which then is used to determine cup size. The best fitting experience I've had was with a family owned bridal gown store. The owner is a master seamstress, gave me great advice like Fumi. How she got my measurements and fitting perfect is still amazing. Once you find the perfect fit you never settle for less than.

Thank you Fumi for this video! I've lost 208 pounds and from going from 52H to a 36DDD has been a journey. I'm still losing weight so I'm leaning more now to 34DDD. Do you have any advice for women who have lots of loose, stretched excess skin and have lost volume in their breast. Buying bras after major weight-loss is so disappointing because loose skin never looks good in a bra. So Fumi nation if y'all have any suggestions or hacks please don't hesitate to provide me with your knowledge. Love you Fumi your smile is everything and Fumi nation love you as well!

I struggle with the same issues after loosing 155 lbs and going from a 42 J cup to 32 C/D at my smallest (now I'm around a 38 DD) I lost some volume especially at the top and have loose skin along my sides. the struggle is real. but I try (albeit hard some days) to embrace the loose skin I worked hard for.
Hoping someone has some helpful tips and tricks.

hello!! congrats to the both of you! although i don’t have experience with big weight changes, so i’m not sure how to help on loose skin, i do have a suggestion that might help with the volume loss. after you get the sizing right, try different bra shapes, and from different brands because they have their own designs and cuts. i’ve found that balconette or similar bra shapes work well for volume loss at the top of the breast as the top of the bra cup sits lower, so you don’t get that gap between your bra and breast. light padding at the base would give a little volume boost for that extra feel-good factor ;) a stretchy lace cup (like the white and mustard yellow ones fumi shows at fenwick) are also great for that as they mould to your breast shape, you’re not just trying to fill the bra and feeling insecure when we fail. with that try going up/down a cup size for brand/cut/padding.
tldr- try on different bra SHAPES from different brands in-store. and take note of what fits and accentuates your current breasts the most. you might find yourself gravitating towards 1-2 shapes and you’ll know what to look for in the future. you deserve it. :)

Very good and useful advice Fumi, especially American sizes!! This is going to be useful to so many women. Thank you so much. I was wearing a C cup for years in my 20's and had awful chest pain and tightness. Went to numerous high profile department stores who said I was a C.I got measured at Karen Miller in London the year 2012. Game changer!! I have been a 36 or when I'm bigger 38 E. Haven't ever had any problems since. Will try that product from push up. I am looking forward in using the push up tape for a special dress for my nieces wedding.

I was always wearing a D-cup but padded bra. But a couple months ago I needed a new bra. Turns out an E-cup fits even better and I was wearing not the ideal kind of bra, for my type of breast. I never knew that it's also important to get the right kind/cut of bra and not just to get the right cup size. Also that one has to look at where the most volume is. Thanks for teaching us women ❤ especially the younger ones, so that they don't have years of back pain before them.
For the Germans watching. If you're a 80B but a C fits better, then you need a 75C. I wear either 100D or 95E depending on the style of the bra.

Fumi, what I have discovered is that if you are a more muscular woman, measuring from the top will result in the wrong size. In my case this is true. Measuring from the top gives me one and a half more inches that measuring below the bust. If I use the measurement from below my bust, my sizing was perfect.
