Lots are stuck in gold because of the rank resets, from past seasons. 50% of people you are playing are previous platinums and diamonds. You can check the people you play against on halo tracker
I played some games with my friend who is in low diamond and it was a very good experience. I got clapped but it really made me think about every play I was making because I was really just trying to put in damage and not die instead of just mindlessly challenging all the time like I do in gold lobbies lol
You forgot one important thing cody. DONT PLAY TOO LATE AT NIGHT. THE SMURFS WILL WIN EVERYTIME. nothing like seeing someone domiate 30-2 and they only have a few hundred MM games.
I only play late at night, and I solo queue, this might be why I am struggling to get my Platinum back. I am sure I will get it back just before they reset the ranks again like always.
@Vigilante StylezVEVO also a lot of people were ranked much lower than they were in the previous seasons. So some of the high golds were mids plats before so if you've never played in a platinum lobby getting out of them high golds can be a mfkr.
Hard stuck in gold since season 2 and I go positive double digits KD most games, my problem is that I play solo and the teams I get burdened with are clueless. I've tried looking for other players to get a squad going but no joy to date... Anyway, great video as always man, I've started doing octagon like you said in your last video and find it really helpful, much better than acadamy 🙌 The other thing you didn't mention that I did in acadamy was to get your kill score linked to say 50k or 100k for warm up, I found that once I hit the 100k mark and over I was warmed up ✌️
Same here, I'm hard stuck gold 5/6 even though I go positive. I went 25-7 in a stronghold game and we still lost. My team was straight gold and the other team had 2 golds and 2 plats. This game makes no sense.
Damn this the real tapping buttons around these parts? If so I’m def not at your level, but I’d say getting a feel for maps/ guns, and working on more controlled aim are overall pretty good tips for gold rank. This is what I did when I placed gold when I first started.
Good tips. Definitly the foundation of just gettn gud. Once youre comfy in your skill the other part is finding people to play with and once you progress finding good players to play with. Also pay attention to how comfy you feel in your rank and how high ranking your team mates are. If youre a gold 2 you dont wanna be playing with gold 5s or 6s as youll then be in lobbies with platinum players. While you will pearn a lot by that, you also becom a hadicap to your team. And until you get comfy as you rank up, play with some compitent high silvers and low golds so you can ease youre way into feeling out the platinum players. Practice practice and learn from others better than you.
After years of playing Halo casually with friends/sweating with em in socials, infinite is when I decided to play competitively (I was too young in H3 🤣🤣, a pubstar if you want to call me that 🤣🤣. ). Im back at home after all these years, but now I’m beginning to realize I’m out of touch. S1-S2 taught me a lot about my strengths & weaknesses. I placed Plat & eventually made my way to Onyx. A rank I knew I can reach & somewhere I belong. The journey there taught me so much about myself, especially being a solo. Gun skill & team work is one thing, but determination & the ability to adapt on the fly is another. I burned myself out during season 2 LOL. Constantly dealing with smurfs, Boosted 4stacks, THE FUCKING RESETS, you name it haha. This is a message for the small percent in the community that feels hopeless. Don’t Give Up. When you reach the point in which you know you can dominate as a lone wolf. The feeling is surreal :) SIDE NOTE***. If I catch you stacking with people your not supposed be with & your expecting a carry. Imma put you in check 😈🤣.
im stuck at btb not having a ranking system i always go like 20-0 or 0-20 depending on whether or not my base spawns a sidekick pistol. and nobody even understands which base to take lol.
I would take advice from high onyx players and play more with them. There’s a night and day difference from mid diamond and low onyx to high onyx players. 40 kills a game is a regular occurrence if I play lower onyx

How to get out of gold rank- don’t solo queue. No matter how good you are, your team mates will be brainless much of the time.
