Sayyiduna/Sayyidina literally means "Our master", and Sayyidatuna is the female form from it. It's usually used in Arabic as a term of respect for all prophets, their pious family members, and their closest companions.
(Assidiqoun)الصديقون are the believers who are very sincere and confident in their faith, they have no doubt about it, they come in rank after the prophets.. Allah mentioned some of them by name or hints, such as Maryam, Al-Khidr, Luqman Al-Hakim, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and others.. He urged us to follow their example to be with them in Paradise.. Qur'an 4:69 "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor from the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs, the righteous. And excellent are those as companions."
Another fantastic video. An absolutely amazing series on the prophets of Islam, overall. Allah ho Akbar ☝️🕋 May Allah reward the creators of the series. Yes, Isa alaisalam is next. He is 1 of the 5 mightiest prophets in Islam (Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad - peace be on them all) and for us Muslims (and the Christians) the Messiah, who will return towards the end times to set the record straight about himself with the Christians and the Jews (since they have incorrect beliefs about him), and battle and kill the accursed Dajjal/anti-Christ. Alhamdulillah.
Omar Suleiman is highly recommended indeed. He is known for his superb storytelling skill. And above that, he is extremely eloquent and has a peaceful and positive expression.
Quran 42:13 "He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Isa [ Jesus ] - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]"
Regarding your question about Imran, I actually not sure if these videos will clarify the confusion. But in case they missed it, then I will surely clarify it later, God willing. I don’t want to spoil anything for you 😆 So excited for the next video
Isa is probably the biggest test for humanity as so many people started worshipping him and his mother. I would recommend listening surah Maidah as there is conversation between Isa and Allah swt when Allah swt ask him did he tell people to worship him. Looking forward to new episode 😀
Asselamu alaikum brother! Loving your reactions to the prophets series - I’m learning a lot too! I especially love your pronunciation of “Asselamu alaikum” and “Subhana wa ta’alla”! I close my eyes just before you say it and imagine John Wayne entering through the swinging doors of a halal saloon, and saying these words to the bar man before ordering a tall mint tea 😀
sayyidina(سيّدنا) literally means our master, or the leader, I usually hear this being used only for the prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) peace be upon him. Because he is the master or the leader of mankind.
Sayyiddina kinda means our master, our best person or representative. It is basically an honorrific title that can be added to prophets, maybe other righteous ppl too
The story of how Yahya (Pbuh) died doesn't come from the Quran or the Hadith. But from some of the companions of the prophet (Pbuh) who possibly heard it from the people of the book (iews and christians) who were living there at the time. These narrations are called "isrealiat" and we're agnostic regarding them, they are not fully accepted or fully rejected.
@Texas Love ignore this if this was answered in the video but. 1:05 The 'Harun' mentioned in relation to Maryam (Mary) in the Quran is not the same Harun (Aaron) who was the brother of Prophet Musa (Moses). In this context, 'Oh sister of Harun' was an expression used by her people, referring to someone from her lineage or someone named Harun, as names can be shared across generations. Just as people today can be named Jesus or Muhammad without necessarily being the prophets, the name Harun in Maryam's time likely referred to someone else entirely, not the Harun of Moses' era.
Sayyidina literally means "our master". It was used to address someone with high status or nobility. Probably similar like calling aristocrats with Lord A or Lord B, or Lady A and Lady B. Just adding some details. When Yahya AS was given the 5 commandments, he didn't convey them immediately to his people. He kept silent for some times until Isa AS ask him, "What took you so long? I you won't convey it, i'll do it instead". Turns out that Yahya AS want to make sure that he did all of the commandments before he order his people to do that. He didn't want to say something that he didn't do. Maryam AS was not a prophet, because Allah only appointed male prophets. You can find this in the Qur'an. As for why she was honored with that salutation, i haven't got any knowledge. May Allah grant us the knowledge.
In the arabic language, sayyidi is a term used to address your teacher or instructor. Sayyidina, is the plural term for our teacher or instructor. The word is also used for master.
Whilst Mary AS is not a prophet (I believe all prophets were male) she was the best of women, and because a certain group disbelieved in her son as the messiah and called them all kinds of slanderous names, Allah chose that we muslims honor her to a very high degree which she very much deserves. Sayiddina means "our leader" which can be applied to any prophet of God or righteous scholar/imam of high piety.
Allah can provide for whom He wants, at His own will. We learn the value of a person in Allah’s esteem when he gets closer to Allah and what Allah can do for him. The root and the conditions do not belong to this earth, but rather are in the hands of Allah. Allah can will anything to happen, and Allah can also erase any obstacles. Yet, why are we so reluctant to turn to Him in the time of need, believing in the hopelessness of the circumstances instead of the unlimited power of Allah? It is because our faith is so weak that our first recourse is to rely on ourselves, or others, who are just as limited as we. We rarely rely on Allah because deep down, many of us disbelieve in Allah’s ability to deliver. If we follow the stories of the Prophets, we shall see miracle after miracle, one impossible situation succeeding the next. All these demonstrate the supreme power of Allah, yet, like many of the Bani Israel, our faith is shaky even with all the signs and portents of Allah that surround us. Take inspiration from these stories to strengthen your faith, rely on Allah and you will see wonder.
18:39 for that quality he was given, it was his other name or synonym Al-Hannan (the so tender) in Arabic and Herbo meaning(sympathetic - compassionate - pitiful - merciful - warmhearted - kindhearted- affectionate - softhearted) -->Yohannan -->Yohan -->John
There are few women in the history that we say may peace be upon her…they are not prophets..they are very pious righteous women. These includes, Eve, Khadija (wife of prophet) and Mary.
Mary AS isnt a prophet or a messenger. But she was beloved to Allah and she was the most righteous among women. Thats why we say it. Same reason when we talk about Isa AS (Jesus) we tend to say Isa Ibn Maryam. (Jesus son of Mary). Its out of respect and love.
6:49 not a prophet not a messenger .. only men are prophets .. she was a special women AS .. and the prophet Mohamed AS told us ALLAH created 4 perfect women .. asiya the wife of firaoun .. Meriam the mother of Isa .. Khadija the wife of Rasoul ALLAH .. and Fatima the daughter of Rasoul ALLAH
Yes, according to biblical and historical accounts, John the Baptist was indeed killed by beheading. The story of his execution is detailed in the New Testament, specifically in the Gospels of Matthew (14:1-12) and Mark (6:14-29). Here’s a summary of the events: • Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee and Perea, had John imprisoned because John openly criticized Herod’s marriage to Herodias, who was previously married to Herod’s brother Philip. John condemned this marriage as unlawful, which angered Herodias. • During a banquet celebrating Herod’s birthday, Herodias’s daughter Salome (though her name is not mentioned in the Bible, it’s known from historical sources like Josephus) danced for Herod and his guests. Her dance pleased Herod so much that he promised her anything she wanted, up to half of his kingdom. • At her mother Herodias’s prompting, Salome asked for the head of John the Baptist on a platter. • Though distressed by the request, Herod honored his promise and ordered John’s execution. John was then beheaded in prison, and his head was presented to Salome, who gave it to her mother. The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus also briefly mentions John the Baptist’s death in his work Antiquities of the Jews, corroborating that Herod had him killed. Josephus’s account focuses more on Herod’s fear that John’s influence might incite rebellion, but it confirms that John was executed on Herod’s orders. This account has made John’s beheading one of the most well-known martyrdoms in Christian tradition.
In the story of musa (a.s) the sister who followed the casket in nile was also named “maryam” but she was not the same person as “mary” ....also father of musa(a.s) was refered to as imran but he was not the same imran as this video .... there is a lot of gap years between prophet musa (a.s) and prophet isa ( a.s)
Mary wasn’t a prophet, she’s just the best woman to walk the face of the earth hence why we say (AS). In the noble Quran an an entire chapter is named after her which further shows just how much she was an honorable and righteous woman.
Sayyiduna means in a way (our master or our leader). We say it out of respect. However, Sayyid (singular here) is also equivalent to mr. Sayyid Texas Love for example means Mr. Texas…etc Prophet Muhammad PBUH is Sayyid the people of paradise. It means here The Master or The Leader. I hope this helped
16:52 the word sayid in arabic can mean many thing it can mean husband ..in the story of joseph AS when the wife of the aziz accused sayidna youssuf ALLAH calls the husband sayid in that vers .. a salve calls his master sayid meaning master .. in morocco people call the king syidna meaning our leader .. when we talk about the prophets or angels whos names we know like sayidna jibreel we say sayidna as a term of respect ..same for companions of the prophets and so on
in arabic it is much detail or use on of the speakers that you can have a full understanding i hope in your car watch billal assad or mufti menk they bring it complete story but these are shorts cuts not complete
Our prophet ﷺ responded to that question and said "The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them" Muslim 2135 ,So she was infact named after Mosas's ﷺ and Aaron's ﷺ sister because she was pious like her and she actually comes from the same tribe as them (the Levites), one of our scholars Ibn Kathir R.A also said " (O sister of Aaron) meaning: O one who resembles Aaron in worship (Your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste) meaning: You are from a good and pure family, known for righteousness, worship, and asceticism, so how did this come from you? Ibn Kathir R.A also said " Ali bin Abi Talha and Al-Suddi said: She was called: (O sister of Aaron) meaning: the brother of Moses, and she was from his lineage, just as someone from the tribe of Tamim is called: O brother of Tamim, and someone from the tribe of Mudarit is called: O brother of Mudar In the Arabic language , and since Hebrew is also a semitic language they have the same concept.
Assalamu 3alakum, I think there are 2 Imran's referred to in the holly Quaran. One is the father of Marryiam and as to the 2nd Imran. I don't think Marryiam is classified as a prophet or messenger of Allah as such but was close to Allah, so we might as well say peace be upon her. Wallahu A3lam (God knows best)
EsSalamo aalaykom Our Brother 👋 ___1___ Mary wasn't Prophet, She Was a Pious Rightous Truth full Woman , Whom Allah Shoose her among The Women of The humankind to be a mother of Jesus in term of His miraculous birth because of Her Rightousness and Her Goodess , She's The best Woman Walk on Earth __2__ SAYEDONA mean OUR MASTER , uses For Respect, and it used For Prophets and Angels and Companions of prophets, and Pious Men, Like for exemple : Al khidr /Lucman ..Ext . __3__ The king Who ordered to kill John The Baptist is HEROD and He Was a Jew and He Was a jewish Ruller of Jews nation, oppointed By Eastern Roman Empire ( Byzantine ) . Greeting To You From ALGERIA 🇩🇿
Alsalam ealaykum warahmat Allah wabarakatuh "sayyidna" does not mean friend of Allah, it is from the arbic word "syid" "سيد" which mean master. and we say it to all the Messengers and Prophets out of respect and because we should follow in their example and they are the best people chosen by Allah .
Mufti Menk did a big mistake by mentioning Mariam he says "peace be upon her" while all our Arab scholars mentioning all the wifes and the daughters of all prophets daughters they say may Allah be pleased with them or her... so woman are not prophet's that's wrong we say (may Allah be pleased with them.)
You mentioned in the begining that Meriam (RA) is the sister of Moses and Aaron, no she is not but you had red the Coran the chapter of Mary when she brought Jesus ( AS), the jewish people said : oh sister of Aaron. That confused a lot of christians that's right but that was the jewish appelation ( calling system of the jewish people) in that time because Mary was born in the lineage of Aaron. It's like the arabe system, the prophet Mouhamed (PBUH) was known as well as Aba el kassim ( the father of kassim ) according to his son Kassim. So Meriam and the sister of Moses mentioned both in the Coran are different persons.
May I ask, have listened to any recitations of the Quran yet? There actually a chapter in the Quran called Surah Maryam which tells about the story of Mary (peace be upon her) and also some of the prophets from the family of Imran. I like the recitation from the channel MercifulServant, just be sure that when you want to talk and make comments that you try to pause at the end of a verse if you choose to make a videos on it
SAYIDINA = means (our teacher Or our master) it doesn't mean Friend of ALLAH and yes we can apply it to all prophets. KHALILULAH = friend of ALLAH. and regarding your question about Aaron and Imran, Bani Israel use to name their sons with the names of Pious peoples who Was before them Like Aaron the brother of Maryam, he is not the Aaron the brother of Moses.. and likewise with Imran. Like in Islam the majority of Our names is named after the pious people in our religion, like Muhammed, Omar, Abubakr, Ali, etc Assalamu Alaykom btother
Maryam the sister of Moses PBUH and Aaron PBUH. Is not not Maryam. Maryam the mother of Isa/Jesus PBUH. Maryam the mother of Isa PBUH. Is a decandent of prophet Aaron PBUH. The Quran states this. Daughter or sister of Aaron in the Quran wich means decandent of prophet Aaron PBUH a lot of people think the Quran confused this Maryam with the sister of Moses PBUH. But sister of Aaron PBUH means simply decandent of Aaron. Just like we have the title sons of Adam PBUH. Becasue we are of his decent. Same applies in the case of Aaron PBUH brother of Moses PBUH. And Maryam mother of Isa PBUH.
6:59 Meriam is not a prophetess, theres no such thing in islam, I can say Peace be upon you aswell mr Texas.. it isn't reserved for prophets only. 16:54 as for Sayyidina, it simply means our master. our master issa, our master harun. these words of veneration we dont use them lightly so commonly they come for prophets if anyone deserves them. if I were to be asked about my opinion why theres no prophetesses, lets be honest. prophets were the best in everything including looks. so if there was a prophetess she'd be the msot beautiful woman you've seen, and us men will not be thinking of faith when we saw that. ofcourse there are other reasons since men are accepted as more logical in islam. ofcourse this doesn't stop women from being extremely pious if they seek.
It doesn't say in the quran that Yahya AS has been killed or beheaded. It's just Israelites and we as Muslims should only listen and belive only in the word of God (the Quran) not Hadiths or Israelites . God will never let his chosen people and the believers alone ever and he will protect them.
mary was not a prophet. there's no female prophets, only male. and saying peace be upon her is just that, peace be upon her. peace be upon you and everyone bro.
Peace be upon her does not qualify her a prophet.there were no female prophets. Allah know best.its just a prayer out of respect for the highly regarded in islam.
killing of Yahya As i have not seen in Quran, maybe from hadith or history no idea. also sayyed arabic means master or Mr, im not too sure but never heard friend#, story of killing of Zakariya As not even in Quran maybe different sources, Also peace be upon her does not make some one prophet or messanger we can say Asiya or Fatima or Ayishah or others peace be upon her too.
Sayyiduna/Sayyidina literally means "Our master", and Sayyidatuna is the female form from it. It's usually used in Arabic as a term of respect for all prophets, their pious family members, and their closest companions.
Sayyidina Ali bin abi Thalib
Sayyidina Umar ibn khattab
Sayyidina Abu bakar
Maryam (Peace be upon her) is not a prophet. She is a "Siddiqah" (A Truthful one) a degree beneath prophethood.
I would also recommend for you to also listen to this story directly from the Quran: Surah Ali Imran verse 32-58
Even the wifes of Ibrahim PBUH we say "Peace be upon her"
Yahya meaning live
Yahya Sinwar❤ 😊
"He lives" literally
It means still living keeps living or simply living
Dear Brother, may Allah SWT bless you and your family. Amen
I instantly felt the importance of this video on your facial expressions. Can’t wait for your reaction to Jesus story pbuh.

Sayyiduna means in a way (our master or our leader). We say it out of respect.
However, Sayyid (singular here) is also equivalent to mr.
Sayyid Texas Love for example means Mr. Texas…etc
Prophet Muhammad PBUH is Sayyid the people of paradise.
It means here The Master or The Leader. I hope this helped
16:52 the word sayid in arabic can mean many thing it can mean husband ..in the story of joseph AS when the wife of the aziz accused sayidna youssuf ALLAH calls the husband sayid in that vers .. a salve calls his master sayid meaning master .. in morocco people call the king syidna meaning our leader .. when we talk about the prophets or angels whos names we know like sayidna jibreel we say sayidna as a term of respect ..same for companions of the prophets and so on
Assalamu 3alaykum Sayyidina comes from the word Sayed or Master. Sayyidina (Our Master) is a title of respect.
King Herod brought John the Baptist's head to Salome
No, she isn't prophet or messenger, but still great figure "seddeeqah"
in arabic it is much detail or use on of the speakers that you can have a full understanding i hope in your car watch billal assad or mufti menk they bring it complete story but these are shorts cuts not complete
Saydina means only master
Sayed is not specifically for people. It's equivalent to the English "sir" but I am bad at English, so not sure.
Mary is not a prophet but the mother of the prophet Isa (Jesus) pbuh
Sayyidina in Arabic means "our teacher" or "our master".
Our prophet ﷺ responded to that question and said "The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them" Muslim 2135
,So she was infact named after Mosas's ﷺ and Aaron's ﷺ sister because she was pious like her and she actually comes from the same tribe as them (the Levites), one of our scholars Ibn Kathir R.A also said "

EsSalamo aalaykom Our Brother 👋

"sayyidna" does not mean friend of Allah, it is from the arbic word "syid" "سيد" which mean master. and we say it to all the Messengers and Prophets out of respect and because we should follow in their example and they are the best people chosen by Allah .
I like the recitation from the channel MercifulServant, just be sure that when you want to talk and make comments that you try to pause at the end of a verse if you choose to make a videos on it
no maryam is not a prophet but a pious woman.. and gave virgin birth to a prophet ISA pbuh
Imran is the same name but not the same person it's easy.maryam the sister of haron means she is from the descendents of haron.
Channel owner are you a Muslim ?
Right now, I am learning about Islam, I have not taken the Shahada
SAYIDINA = means (our teacher Or our master) it doesn't mean Friend of ALLAH and yes we can apply it to all prophets.
KHALILULAH = friend of ALLAH.
and regarding your question about Aaron and Imran, Bani Israel use to name their sons with the names of Pious peoples who Was before them Like Aaron the brother of Maryam, he is not the Aaron the brother of Moses.. and likewise with Imran. Like in Islam the majority of Our names is named after the pious people in our religion, like Muhammed, Omar, Abubakr, Ali, etc Assalamu Alaykom btother
Imran is the common name of their time..they are 2 different Imran
16:54 as for Sayyidina, it simply means our master. our master issa, our master harun. these words of veneration we dont use them lightly so commonly they come for prophets if anyone deserves them.
if I were to be asked about my opinion why theres no prophetesses, lets be honest. prophets were the best in everything including looks. so if there was a prophetess she'd be the msot beautiful woman you've seen, and us men will not be thinking of faith when we saw that. ofcourse there are other reasons since men are accepted as more logical in islam. ofcourse this doesn't stop women from being extremely pious if they seek.
mary (PBUH) is not a prophet but the mother of the believers a very high status on its own
It doesn't say in the quran that Yahya AS has been killed or beheaded. It's just Israelites and we as Muslims should only listen and belive only in the word of God (the Quran) not Hadiths or Israelites . God will never let his chosen people and the believers alone ever and he will protect them.
Maryam is not a messenger
mary was not a prophet. there's no female prophets, only male. and saying peace be upon her is just that, peace be upon her. peace be upon you and everyone bro.
