dude thank you so much for making this, i kept listening to the song trying to figure out everything that was happening on the piano and you nailed it it thanks !
Thanks for that, been looking for a tutorial on this song! Sounds pretty good to me, just in that cluster where you play B and C together I actually hear a D. Thanks again!
I wanted to find a song that would be appreciated that there weren't a million tutorials for already. Glad it helped. I am going to back and take a listen for that D now. Thanks!
Thanks for this dude, it's ome of my favourites 👍 Very helpful. Could you have a stab at doing 'Jitterbug Boy' by Tom Waits please? It's quite repetitive, so I doubt it'd be difficult. Incidentally, did you know: In his youth, Waits would play piano in bars, cafes and even brothels! It was in the latter that a pimp slammed the lid of a piano (he was playing at the time) down and broke the bones in Tom's fingers. If you ever look at him play, you'll see that his fingers are at an odd angle. I also think that explains why there's so many bum notes in his piano pieces. Even his nice gentle ballad/love songs have the odd rough note. Haha. But that's what I love about Waits - the unpolished roughness! 😁
awesome tutorial! Could you please also do "Blow Wind Blow"? I have purchased sheet music book (Tom Waits Anthology 1986-2000) including that song, but there is nothing in the book but the melody (voice) lines in the right hand that I have already picked easily by myself, while I was interested in intros, solos, and interesting arrangements beyond the melody lines.
I'd like to see a similar analysis of Tango by Tom Waits.
The clank and the thunder of this man’s piano

been looking for a tutorial on this song for years, glad I did a search, guess 2020 had a few good things to offer.
So happy to help! It was fun to pick apart.
Oh I gotta try and learn this... if it’s the only song I can play on piano I’m happy with that
Awesome man Thanks for the post
No problem! You can make it happen. It would be a good one to do if its your only one!
Great job... this has got me playing again after many months... any chance you could do a tutorial for Ice Cream Man from the early years collection?
Thank you so much! Much obliged.
Glad it helped!

I will take a listen and see what I can do. Thanks for listening and being part of the conversation!
It's amazing how everything wrong is just sooo right 🙂
I could not have said it better.
Can't play piano. Had fun

It’s close but I’m unsure about the key. Feels like Em sounds better imo
Interesting! I played along with the record to figure it out. Em could sound cool too! Thanks for listening!
