Just saw Save Ferris last weekend. Monique absolutely killed it! She’s nearing 50, but her voice is as incredible as ever. She’s much more talented than Gwen Stefani, in my opinion. I saw No Doubt about a dozen times back in the day, so I have a pretty decent frame of reference. It’s insane that Save Ferris wasn’t/isn’t more popular.
Save Ferris shifted their musical direction to pop-punk with their Modified album, although it did have a few ska tracks. I think that’s what held them back in the ska world.
@@channelmar15 Conversely, No Doubt deviated from ska when Eric left the band. They didn’t become famous until they delved into the world of pop rock. However, they maintained enough of ska sound to launch the late ‘90s ska resurgence. Save Ferris, Reel Big Fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones & others wouldn’t have become nearly as popular without No Doubt leading the way. I don’t like that fact, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

I just finished watching this movie within the last 10 minutes and only then realised that this awesome band was in front of me for YEARS!!! Recognised them as the prom band. Made the movie even better :D Too Cool!!!

I've been trying to add this song to my Apple Music Playlist but it's greyed out and tells me that This song is not Currently available in your Country or region, very frustrating. I was able to get a live version of I know on Apple Music but there's so much talking and audience noise over the actual song being performed that it ruins it for me. Outstanding Band!
