With the talk from the club about interest in signing Tyreik Wright, I can only think it is because he’s versatile and he must be seeing what we saw on his first time at the club in training. Otherwise I don’t know what GA is thinking wanting him back (and I’m giving GA some benefit of the doubt here because last time I gave him the benefit about his team selection he basically said himself he just didn’t rate Bobby Pointon).
Are we looking at Wright mainly from a financial pov? I mean we know what he is capable of and if he reproduces it, we could get a decent fee for him.
Oyegoke I’d take perm not on loan. Get him more minutes, back up for Halliday so we can save his legs for getting even more out of him.
5:15 Mentality. I trust GA on wanting a certain mentality (similar to PP who was big on that). But it’s hard to trust Sharpe on judging mentality when he’s friends with Ryan Sparks. Danny Cowley is another who thinks mentality is important at a club and for some reason after speaking to Ryan Sparks decided Bradford City wasn’t the right club for him. I trust Cowleys judgement when it comes to mentality based on how fast he sussed that one out.
What the club actually needs is a sports psychologist who has a line of expertise in personality. When you know what to look out for it isn’t difficult to find players with the right mentality and avoid being stuck with too many players who just add to the problem.
And I think in L2 especially mentality is more important than technical ability. As you go up the leagues you need to balance both a lot more.
So far GA is showing that he has a good mentality and that has rubbed off on the team to an extent, which is best seen when the team is 1 or 2 down, does it turn into 3 or 4 or do we grab a draw or win. Under GA we are doing the latter more often whereas before we knew there was no hope when we were 2-0 of even getting a point.
Neither would both be lazy signings. Neither did anywhere near good enough to earn getting signed again

Imo neither did enuf to warrant us re signing them for next season either on loans or permanently...There are defo better players out there proven at this level so hopefully we go down a different route and don't re sign either...🤞🏻🤞🏻🐔🐓
