From memory you don't get points for killing a vehicle with your vehicle in wt. I recall crashing my ki21 into another plane I lost my tail but he lost a wing and engine. He crashed before me. But I didn't get the kill lol
The physics was the plane Was going at least 500kmh with its flaps up and its wings damaged it rolled into the sea the quick hit of the ocean flip and ripped off the wing but didn't stop the momentum of 500 kmh going straight after the flip and the wing breaking it caused it to bounce away from the rip and sense the plane was foot away it just hit it if the plane was any farther it would of just slammed into the water about the same time it actually hit the plane

Kamikaze pilots tended to make steep dives as they wanted the heavy engine to smash through the decks and cause deadly damage below decks and to get the bombload to explode between decks to cause maximum damage. It also made it harder for the anti-aircraft gunners. they also strafed the ships to kill the anti-aircraft gunners as they dived to the final attack.
If watch some real video footage of them you will notice they were trying to hit a ship with multiple ways. Some times flying high some times coming low.
Is it just me or is the anti-aircraft effectiveness overpowered/overstated? Have absolutely no basis in fact to think otherwise but there are so many planes getting shot the heck up that I'm wondering if that is at all reflective of what the reality in WWII.
Again Pacific battles isn't implemented in the game for now. If devs bring up the addon one day it will certainly be modified. They are very serious with this game.
The only thing i could see that wasnt realistic each kamikaze plane was give only 60 bullets. To just give a small chance to clear out some AA before their run. But only about 15% of Japan's aircrafts hit there target or estimated came close to a target. At this point in the war Japan really just wanted to take out carries and battle ships. I cant remember what carrier sunk from just one kamikaze but some took up to six and survived. If anything is would be like Saipan when the tactic was first being used.
When most weaknesses of Japanese umpire during 2WW are mixed with most weakens of some Japanese pilots as result of this mixture created kamikaze operations ...suicide is ultra levels of cowardice not Bravery

IIRC, this is kinetic energy, whereupon the ballistic energy of the body (mass) in motion (velocity) is literally stopped by that force being transferred & absorbed into an inanimate object.

Not, not in this game. In the old IL2 1946 game there are. But this is the new IL-2 series which has none yet.
The Il2 damage caused to the ships in game doesn't really work properly with these Kamakaze attacks.
