- In this IoT based project, we will learn how to do Home automation using NodeMCU and Blynk App. This is a simple but useful home automation project with Nodemcu and a relay module where we can control home appliances securely from the smartphone.
During the video, I have shared the circuit diagram, Arduino sketch, Blynk example library for this internet of things project.

**You have to install the Blynk library before uploading the sketch. I have shown all the details in the video.
Required components for this WiFi relay module:
1. NodeMCU board
2. Relay Module 5volt
3. 5 volt DC supply
In this video, I have shown step by step how to download and use the Blynk app for this smart house project. I have also shared NodeMCU pinout details, which help you to connect the 4-channel or 6-channel relay module with the esp8266 Nodemcu board.
After watching the complete video you can easily design this low-cost smart home device and control the relay module with wifi.

I am facing issues with relay.
My relay is getting NC to NO.. on applying both 3Volt and ground
When I touch input pin of relay to 3volt of nodemcu it gets switched... And if i also connect it with ground pin of nodemcu..it also switched on

Yes. If the NodeMCU connected with the Office WiFi. Your mobile and NodeMCU are connected to Blynk server. So when press the button in Blynk app, it send the signal to Blynk server through the internet. And the NodeMCU received that signal from Blynk server.

But I'm getting a problem.
While compiling it says (esp8266. h no so file in directory) . And there are no ports also.
u Need to upload the Library and if the Port is not Showing Means U need to install the Driver..... there r two of Library is there one is CP2102 and CH340

First you have to install the esp8266 board from tools board manager. Then select the NodeMCU

There is a inbuilt voltage regulator, so you can give 5v at Vin.

First you have to download the esp8266 board. Then select NodeMCU 12E board.

Just enter the hotspot name and password in the code.
sir do we have to connect on same Wi-Fi or it will work on WAN
The app is meant to be controlled from anywhere in the world. Only issue is the new version of the app doesn't seem to have a NodeMCU device option.

You can also use step down transformer, Bridge rectifier, Capacitor, 7805 regulator to get +5v dc supply to nodemcu
