- Kouri Richins released an angry audio statement from behind bars. The children's book author is awaiting trial in Utah on murder charges. She's accused of spiking her husband Eric's drink with a lethal dose of fentanyl. Prosecutors say she had taken out life insurance policies on him and was having an affair. Richins says she's tired of waiting for the trial and wants everyone to know she's innocent.

Then she wrote a children's book about grief Well she's sitting in jail after she was arrested for murdering her husband. It's against the law for someone to write a book related to their crime, whether it's for children or adults, and profit from it. I want to know how she released an audio on UA-cam from jail. This should be considered juror tampering.

Why is it legal to take out life insurance policies on people without their consent?
The insured needs to sign the application but Kouri & others forge the signatures & sometimes get away with it. Not sure if the forged ones paid out.

Am always curious in this spousal murder cases. Does anybody know if Kouri got any life insurance payout with erics passing? She was out a full year after the murder before being arrested, so was she still buying and flipping houses during this one year before her arrest? If not, what did she do for money in the interim? Now that she's been in jail a whole year, who is handling her business on the outside? Am just really curious about Kouri -)
The life insuranceones that Eric knew off were paid to his estate with his sister as the trustee for the boys. Eric was not that dumb but he could have done more, like get out & away from someone he suspected as trying to kill him.
