As a musician of over 50 years I just have to say that unlike the vast majority of singers, you are a true musician and not just a voice. This kind of tumor behind the eye is not unusual. I had one removed in 2001 and recovered completely. His recovery will be slow but he will recover. He's an fantastic singer.

I hope he's doing well and doesn't need another surgery on this tumor. I have a jazz musician friend who had something similar about 15 years ago, tumor behind the eye, required surgery. My friend had started having pain behind his eye, and surgery was needed to prevent nerve damage to his eye since the tumor was growing. It's very serious, but was caught in time, so Jack should be fine, we all hope. Hopefully the tumor doesn't grow back. I am sure his doctor's will be watching for this and deal with it if needed.
Any operation is bad, but by prayers for Gods help, from his faithful he will be in the news of health. Jack, my personal prayers will be strong for a full recovery, and soon.

Most likely he had the tumor removed in such a manner because it was pressing on the optic nerve. Once the opctic nerve is damaged it cannot be fixed.
