@ in reality it's a very good design. IF you have the proper tools, it's a breeze to replace and a compact but very solid assembly! Which don't mess up your wheel alignment, upon replacement, as most of the other designs imply! Point being "don't use a hammer, where you need a screw driver"! Commenting on something you don't understand, hmm! LOL 😂
Hello, thank you for the video. The balljoint shall be tightened to 230Nm, are you sure that you can achieve that with those pliers? I don't think so.. 20Nm at best I would say.
Not tight enough, to do this properly, you need to use a 41mm deep socket. I used an impact driver to fit mine and made sure it was tight by using a breaker bar
I've only just noticed- the old unit was a taper fit in the wishbone- the new one has no taper so when fitted could have undesirable play in it -virtually from week one. The taper fit ones are definitely available; i've just seen them at Euro Car Parts. Thanks for posting the video tho.
I'm working on my ball joint right now but the bolt is turning with the wrench. Tried to use an umbrako from underneath to hold it, but there's no chance in h**l to unscrew the bolt nut. Right now I'm just on the verge of giving up. Any ideas? I've tried to warm it up and I've tried rust remover. It's really stuck!
My question is , if i dont cange the ball joint , so what does it effect ? Does it make sound when the person turns the steering wheel ? Because i need ti get the info for my peugeo 206 , i changed the wishbone but still hearing like cracking voice when i turn right or left no so permenantly but often times , specially when the car is parked , sounds like something is broke came from as the video side , please sir , am waiting for your respond !
No echas grasa en la rosca de la rótula y aprietas con la llave al revés , tampoco tienes puesto ningún elemento de seguridad para sostener el vehículo en caso de que falle el gato , muy mal tutorial , peligroso y negligente !
Ave done loads of these with the correct tools and thats the easist one that l have ever saw come off so easy...
Video editing to it's best! LOL 😂
👍всё понятно, без слов, без сопровождения музыки. Отлично.
Never had one come out so easy think there some missing video footage 😂😂😂😂😂
Same thing here
I can't believe manufacturers still use such balljoints, it's like one half of an Austin Metro hub 😂

It’s a pain in the ass unless you either have a scaffold pole ratchet extension or a dak dak gun. Either way buy the 41mm deep socket first!

Not 230! 85nm I believe
230Nm is correct@@daveyboiyeah
I wish mine came out that easy
I just spent all day on mine. I’d say buy the correct 41mm deep socket for the job or dont waste your time. I tried everything and it won’t budge.

My mistake- the taper is there- it's just concealed by the rubber boot which has slipped downwards.

You forgot the important heat shield.........
Lower ball nut and thread are now spinning together any ideas how to get it off ?
Ball joint stud has a torx hole you hold The stud with torx bit and turn the nut I hope that will help
Vous avez oublié de remettre la protection métallique de la rotule pour éviter de dégrader le caoutchouc de la rotule.

Kim Salabim you need to hold the bolt with torx drive then turn the balljoint nut this bolt won’t turns with wrench
@@guddupappu3582 turn the ball joint, not the bolt itself?
a nutcracker will easily do the trick. Then just get yourself a new nut (comes together with your new ball joint)
Cut the nut off assuming your replacing it later...grinder
