This was a superb film, sucks that it isn't getting the recognition it deserves. Hope interest picks up again, this is one of the best films of the year.
It was okay. The behind the scenes were more interesting than the movie.
I also hate the digital look of these movies, all the real stunts look fake plus they add in too many CGI elements around it.
It's better than Barbie and Oppenheimer.

@@user-yg8vo2hu6uAfter watching the behind the scenes, I felt like I saw everything. They showed too much before the movie came out. And it was more interesting than the actual movie. Not too mention I hate the digital look that these movies have that make even the real stunts look fake. Plus they add in way too many CGI elements around it that just take away all the realism.
The whole concept of the “entity” felt extremely boring, distant and non-threatening. It’s basically Tom Cruise vs a mountain. (And the behind the scenes gives you a better experience).

The Entity made me more uneasy than any human villain I've seen in years, props to McQ and
the sound design guys for writing it so creepily and making it sound so eerie

The Entity. A self-learning, truth eating, digital parasite. Capable of infesting all of cyberspace without leaving anything to trace. An enemy that is everywhere and nowhere. In other words.....their version of Ultron. And that scene it disguises itself as Benji is nerve-racking!! 😦
I said the same thing on another thread, bro. Marvel set out to do this very plot in Age of Ultron and made a mess of it. I fully expected Ultron to infiltrate all the world's military hqs, gain control of their nukes, and threaten to wipe out civilization. Instead, all he did was skydive a city - which was quite over the top and unrealistic to accomplish in the real world.

If you liked the narrative arc around The Entity, I advise you to watch the series Person of Interest or in the 2nd part of the latter in addition to the AI that we discover at the beginning of the series (The Machine) a second AI (Samaritan) that looks very much like The Entity join the series and pushes even further the various aspects related to the AI that were discussed in MI-7.

Also a sorta realistic rogue AI. It doesn't just acess all intranets immediately and fire the nukes, but takes over the web instead.

The best movie of 2023.
M:I-7 has definitely the most formidable and relevant villain in the entire series. It is one of many reasons why I consider this movie the best of the franchise and the best of the summer so far.
This is literally the best movie of this months, if I would choose between oppen heimer or this, 100% on this movie.

Fact that we’re having problems with AI tech in today time and also Other than Owen from MI:3, The Entity is probably the most scariest villain in not just The mission impossible Franchise, But in Cinema History because like an AI that knows your Past, What you do in your Future, Can Copy your own voice, It’s not even a Human controlling it, It’s programming by itself And it can probably do other things, That’s the most scariest villain ever even all of you gonna agree with me and I’m glad that the writers managed to write its character very well

This is a spy action movie, not just an action movie.
The lines and images are elaborated, and the more you watch it, the deeper it seems.
I recommend watching it multiple times...I've seen it seven times. I plan to watch it 3 more times.

Paramount completely dropped the ball releasing this a week before barbie and Oppenheimer, There was no chance for the movie’s word of mouth to spread before all online talk was hijacked by barbenheimer. Releasing it later in the year when there isn’t much competition would’ve been the smarter thing to do.

Loved how the AI was the villain in this film and the next. Scary how AI villains used to be simply science fiction but now with our ever advancing technology it’s getting closer to reality.

A highly relevant antagonist in the modern world...huge props to McQuarrie for coming up with such a splendid script and to consistently adding up such nice installments to a huge franchise which is very rare in Hollywood.... considering other Hollywood franchises
I've seen criticism about the Entity being a boring antagonist - without a face or personality, but I disagree. There is something wonderfuly unnerving about fighting an enemy who can be everywhere, enemy you can't see, can't even understand in human terms. The whole film it feels like Ethan in literally racing against the end of the world, with maybe 5 seconds lead at the best of times.
I think this amazing movie is doing bad at the box office & losing money so I feel bad because I want it to succeed😞
I have a certain gripe with this movie that may or may not be addressed in the conclusion. Dead Reckoning has been shouting left and right that Ethan hates Gabriel, and even shows a bit of a flashback of him killing some woman that close to Ethan, but I do not, for the life of me, know who Gabriel or the girl is at all, and quite frankly, it takes some of the emotional value away. Granted, I was blown away by watching Ethan's actions atop the train, especially after a certain conversation he had with Luthor, but I wanted a perfect understanding as to who the heck Gabriel is to Ethan.

Something of this ilk should have been the trailer supporting this film from the very beginning. I think it was a mistake to attempt to keep the villain a secret. It should have been front and center in the advertising campaign. Especially given how timely it is.
