NFR will blow your mind, not even one bad track. EPIC.
PERIODT!
honestly if someone hyped up nfr like this and i heard it for the first time- id be a little disappointed cause its not amazing honestly. Its just no where near bad either.
@@gerardogarcia3378 i guess everyone's entitled to their opinion but i dont see how you could possibly not be mindblown by how perfect NFR is. her best album in my opinion. there's not one skippable song.
Cooper i disagree, almost the whole album is skippable but then again, opinions🤷🏻♀️
@@jouddamra6345 yeah opinions. But there will be a reason if for all the critics it's her best album.. ya know?

Aaaaww thx 🖤
you're a legend! thank you!
she said she did the four previous albums for herself. she said this one was one for the fans
Makes sense. LFL sounds the most like BTD to me.
Funny cause it's the least favorite among fans lol
@@purplemonkey9575 LMAO i know. maybe she wanted to do something that sounded a bit more mainstream
@@carlosd.calderon2968 It's fine. My only complain is that It's a little all over the place in terms of sound. I do think the trap thing going on works in "Cherry", tho...
@@purplemonkey9575 its my favorite lana album
Vibe from each album:
BTD - Classical hip-hop
P - Afterlife poet
UV - Grunge mistress
HM - Ballad Bond babe
LFL - Hippie love letter
NFR - Independent Americana Bombshell
woah love your representation of every album!!!!
And I feel like COTCC- Young woman of the 1950s finding herself
@@germywormybb- Americana singer in depression ocean blvd- experimental vibes
NFR has 100% consistency! 1 week to go
Why do people say this? The Next Best American Record sticks out like a sore thumb, and it’s clear because it was meant for LFL.
tf lz agree, it isn’t a skip but it doesn’t really belong on the album either
@@Oni_1 it perfectly blends.
There isn't a bad Lana del rey album, there is one for every mood. Me personally LFL is my favorite album.
LFL and NFR are vibes
Believe me you‘ll keep on going back to this album. I also didn’t notice how great the songs were at the beginning. But now Lust for life turned out to be my favourite album. I also liked songs like summer bummer and groupie love at the time, but then you realise that those songs that „needed life“ are just the best! They just grow on you. I mean songs like 13 beaches/ when the world was at war/ cherry/ change/ Love/ GET FREE (my fav).. are now some of my favourites.
Get Free is definitely my favourite to!
Man when you don’t pay attention to the lyrics you’re missing the poetry
Yess
I agree
I kinda agree this album was not my favorite, but i was hoping you paid attention to the lyrics, I felt that there were a lot of great lines and storytelling that you missed. This album was arguably not as engaging or lively as you mentioned because it was different but still just as artistic as classic Lana and it always impresses me how every album is different. She has so many different sides and sounds!
He actually never really pays attention to the lyrics, didn't quite enjoy de first songs, but summer bummer that has a hip hop kinda beat and its poppy he's down for it, there's not a lot of depth in his reactions, it's just a reaction
If you want cohesion, then man you have to look forward to Norman Fucking Rockwell. It is simply a masterpiece, I would suggest paying a lot of attention to the lyrics on that album as it’s probably her most poetic album. Nice Work!
There is no skippable song made by Lana, I swear.
*bobs/sways head through whole song*
“I don’t like this one.”
In „In My Feelings” she’s singing about her ex - G-Eazy
Heroin is a masterpiece!
Im here just for it
idk why but LFL does a much better job at feeding my depression than ultraviolence
Same here
how
@@AC-yd6eo It just does
@@AC-yd6eo wdym how? Everyone has different tastes??
The Intro of 13 Beaches was in fact a fragment taken from a film (Carnival Of Souls, 1962).
Yup definitely my least favorite but over time, it grows and you catch lyrics and sounds that you didn’t before and they add to the atmosphere. My favorite tracks have to be cherry, summer bummer, heroin, change and get free. Also ppl say that Lana is better on her own with no features and I do kind of agree but I hope next time she does features she remains consistent. This album is definitely best with messages especially today and those long titled tracks, also not being rude but her voice although beautiful and mermaid like was the most monotone it’s ever been. It’s still not a bad album, Lana never actually fails.
The fact that this album was supposed to released in May 2017 but she want to collab with other artist so she delayed it... and also "Change" was the last song that she record...And this album finished at 2 am... she wrote "Change" in 2pm to 2am with limit time and she must to send this album to her manager that's why it's only have piano and vocals.
'When the world was at war before we kept dancing'.. a hymn of protest and hope that we will sing forever.. 💫💙
Such a great, genuine reaction! Nice job dude.
NFR is her best album! Can't wait for your reaction :)
I think that you dont need to compare the albums and it's not about the beat or sound, is a full pack with lyrics. But dont get caught in the sound, because thats going to generate wrong ahd high expectations. Lana is pure art.
Music is about the beat and the sound? that is literally what music is. without the melody it is just poetry
Y’all, when he put his arms up at around 56:15 😳😳😳😳😳I had to look away for a sec🙈🙈
He looks hot and cute haha❤️
JAILLLLL
STOP
@@michaelcarbajal5719 💖🙈✨
This album was actually her tribute to her fans that's why she gave a little bit of everything here and there. And we all know she's a song machine. I guess maybe if she made a deluxe version in order for the other tracks to be bonuses, then it may have been a lil' consistent. But then again she also stopped doing deluxe versions since honeymoon.
The tracks I skip is Coachella, Godbless America and all the beautiful women in it.
Because of the album's inconsistency this is also the album that doesn't get me in the mood. Unlike her other albums. I listen to it in chunks/parts, like when having a night shower, I listen from WTWWAWWJKD to Tommorrow Never Came.
In my opinion, Beautiful People Beautiful Problems is one of her most beautiful songs ever! Her and Stevie Nicks' voices fit perfectly together. I also love that this song is so chilled, it makes me forget all of my worries.
Omggg 😭😭😭
NFR I can’t tell u next is what
Guys please tell him 🥺❤️
Goddamn man-child get a hold of yourself
I believe this was made so every listener could curate their very own tracklists out of it that's why it has more songs than her usual albums and pulls in different directions.
I'm so excited for the next album NFR!
PAY👏ATTENTION👏TO👏THE👏DAMN👏LYRICS👏 u never talk about the lyrics of any of the songs and that’s kinda what Lana’s about, her songs have so much meaning behind the. Bruh u better talk about the lyrics in NFR cuz they’re so good
Calm down 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚
you so right, coachella is such a deep ass song and he was like ''next'' blazedah
I agree with you, it’s her most inconsistent album. It was a grower to me, and to be honest, some songs of it still being skippable to me like When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing, Beautiful People Beautiful Problems, and Tomorrow Never Came.
I almost promise you that Norman Fucking Rockwell! has the cohesive sound you were looking in Lust for Life.
Btw, I appreciate your honesty when you don’t like something.
The music videos from the Lust for Life era are:
- Love
- Lust For Life
- White Mustang (the video of this song wasn’t meant to be for this song, you will realize)
Lana always wanted to make a video for Cherry, but nobody were willing to follow the ideas of Lana for it, so it never happened.
And one last thing, you maybe realized that the last song, Get Free, has a part in the first verse that she says: for ... and for ...; well, the missing words are “Amy” and “Whitney”. Look for the live performance where she sings them out.
Nice reaction dude, like always 💚💚
I wonder why she left them out in the studio version but it’s pretty interesting. I wish cherry got a music video too 🥺
white mustang video I never realized wasn't for this song lol. I mean, if id watch it now, I'd probably tell, but I didn't understand sth was little wrong with it before lol.
Honeymoon grew faster on me in comparison to this album, it feels so... mismatched(sp?). All songs on it are great but IMHO they feel like they were made for different albums. White Mustang is my personal favourite, Get Free being a close second
why is it the video of white mustang wasn't meant for it? can someone explain. i don't have an idea😅 thanks
たなかあいら the video was for The Next Best American Record (The song was for LFL, not NFR!), but is was leaked.
This whole album it’s so perfect, like her entire career
It feels like I’m listening to this masterpiece for the first time
13 beaches still hit the right spot every time I hear it lol
i think you should take off clothes after when she said "take off take off all your clothes" 😂😂😂
I-
HOLD UP........
you're damn right
- Insert i would like to see it gif -
yesssssss
Get Free is my favourite song of this album. Probably of all albums too. A very deep song
I guess you needed to have the context for this album, with 2016 and 2017 being messy years, Lana decided to reflect that in Lust for Life. God Bless America, and When the world was at war, were made as a response to Trump's election. Otherwise, she expressed her desire to bring people she loved to feature on this album. It's like a an aware decision to let go, chill, and do things a little less perfect.
Hmmmm I'm so confused. Does a song needs to have "a lot happening on the background" and vocal layering to have a life? It's weird as well how it is being compared to other albums. It's a different, singular project. And some songs in general are meant to be a grower.
13 beaches and change DESERVED more love what a waste, 2 masterpieces.
I love your reactions btw ❤
I think When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing is the perfect song for what we're living right now.
"i'm doing for all of us, for Amy and for Whitney"
I thought she was saying "for a handful" 🤨
I can't stop smiling while I'm watching u feeling the songs 😻
Wait did you hear cinnamon girl THAT’S GONNA BREAK YOU IN A BEAUTIFUL WAY! IT’S GORGEOUS AS HELL 🥺🥺
For me this album and Honeymoon are definitely growers. First time I listened I liked them but wasn’t too crazy, second and third time I enjoyed the songs much more. My favorite are: Lust for Life, 13 Beaches, Cherry, Summer Bummer and Groupie Love 😊
just my opinion but "get free" is this albums best track..a masterwork ..it's like she left a voice message to you ,her most personal song{imo}
13 beaches and heroin are the best songs on there
Love and heroin
I think Lust for Life was cohesive because it discusses American culture heavily (in a more mature/3rd party sense) esp through the lyrics----- go more into the lyrics esp for an artist like Lana who is primarily a lyricist and poet. I think to appreciate this album you have to put on a different pair of lenses because Lana goes into themes she hasn't touched on in previous records - Beautiful people beautiful problems is now one of my favorite songs off this record because of its relevance (human life is beautiful and all the issues/problems people experience are also beautiful cause that is how you grow). I listen to this record when I need reflection. All in all, I think its a record that you need to spend time with to understand the flow and message (if that makes sense?)
Also agree that NFR is a masterpiece that shiz is fuegoooooooooo
Also "get free" is connecting to "norman fucking rockwell"..GENIUS
If you're interested, the Lust for Life demo is on UA-cam and sounds way more "classic Lana"
The only way i can describe this album is like a B-sides album of songs that were rejected off of her first 3 albums. Its not that the songs are bad (Cherry is one of her best songs) but its like they didnt quite fit on any of the first 3 so she just made an album out of the leftovers. lol
this album is like wine it gets better with time. it’s my least favorite but i really admire the lyrics and story telling. it’s very very lyrically heavy.
its not the best album, but it's not bad. tbh, the lyrics are great. the consistent thing here i guess was the beat. cause the songs are more on the hiphop side. my personal favorite here is white mustang, summer bummer and groupie love. i love the idea that lana tried new sound here. cause people always tell she all sound the same again. so i have something to make them listen to that is really totally different vibe from😏
ps. coachella is nice. most specially the lyrics
Okay but his shirt goes well / matches his background I LOVE IT ! It’s so aesthetically pleasing 🥺🤟🏼
I'm watching this while I'm in classes online hahaha
Jajaja JAJAJA JAJAJA JAJAJA JAJAJA me too
to me 13 beaches should be the album intro because its just a perfect intro and its the one she chose for the show
Very agree. I only listen to 13 Beaches, White Mustang, Heroin, Cherry, Change and Lust For Life. I didn't like Honeymoon first when it was out and then I didn't like half of this album too, so I was a little upset. Luckily, NFR is a gem, my favorite album of Lana and Honeymoon second favorite (album as a whole).
I read that she brought the song Change on the afternoon before turning the album into the label, so they had to record it just with piano and they finished it at 2 am. She posted a video from the recording, it's very nice, it's on UA-cam (Lana Del Rey recording Change).
Also, the demo of Lust For Life is so much different from the album version, it's slower and quite sad, I like it a lot. If you want to listen to it someday, it's here on UA-cam too.
Fun fact: In my Feelings was a reference to her and G-Eazy’s relationship.
Stop worrying about the beats bro, just listen to the lyrics and vibe out to it. And don’t compare albums to previous albums because you’re always going to be disappointed. Anyways, at least you’re discovering Lana so that’s good.
Okay so I love this album so much but, I think if the order of the songs was different it would’ve sounded more consistent. I think the problem kinda lies in the arrangement of the tracks, for ex;
1.Lust for life ft. The weekend (honestly think it would’ve been better as the opener since it better sets the tone of the rest of the album)
2.White mustang
3. in my feelings
4.Groupie Love ft.A$AP
5.summer bummer ft.A$AP
6.cherry
7.13 Beaches
8.Heroin
9.Coachella
10.When the world was at war
11.God Bless America
12. Love
13.Tomorrow never came
14.Beautiful people beautiful problems ft. Stevie Nicks
15.change
16.get free
If the set up was like that I feel it would sound more cohesive :)
I think it’s very inconsistent but, i ended up loving it at the end, my favs are cherry, in my feelings, when the world ..., tomorrow never came, HEROIN (masterpiece) , change and get free
I love her and rocky on the same projects and I loved her with Stevie nicks, it would be cool if they worked together again and Jack Antonoff was behind production. My dream collabs for Lana (which I hope happen at some point) are: tame impala, frank ocean, Willow smith, Harry styles, Kendrick Lamar, banks, Rihanna, and kid cudi ughhhh that would be epic no cap lmaooo
In my Feelings was dedicated to her former lover G-Easy. QUEEN MOTHER PERIODT
album mv:
- Love
- Lust For Life
- White Mustang
:) ❤
Btw it's just a fact that our generation is completely addicted to catchy hooks and ride or die emotions in every inch of the art we want to no longer contemplate but to devour and make it us and vice-versa too, isn't it? it's kinda sickening, though, I'm part of that generation too...
You're adorable lol. It literally felt like I was listening to 13 Beaches for the first time, watching you react to it
Lust for life as an all over the place effort is kinda beautiful message though :')
Your reaction to Heroin was I needed!!Personally my favorite from this album but I like all her other songs as well😊
London Grammar have put out 2 amazing albums that would be fun to watch you react to
Also one reason you might not like this one as much is because starting with the "Coachella" song, the album is heavily inspired with world affairs and is overall inspired by the hippie aesthetic of the 70's. The album mirrors youth being youth (having fun, personal problems, love, etc) but then entering a political era (at the time, rumors of World War 3 were being broadcast as tensions with North Korea were mounting - this is the basis for "Coachella" and "When the World was at War". The music video for "Love" demonstrates this as does the one for "White Mustang" (a missile is shown at one moment, flying overhead while the story of Lana and her love interest goes on below). Even "Heroin" mentions Charles Manson in the line "Manson's in the air" - again another nod to the unsettling of the 60's/70's and how she sees it parallel to our current times (2017 for the album release).
firts time that i listened i didn't like too. but with time i was get used to it. but it's my least favorite album.
Same. There are some amazing tracks on the album but overall my least favourite. Still good though.
Listen to summer bummer again. Those whats will grow on u
Loved the video, I get what you mean about the album some of my favourite Lana del Rey tracks are on there but also my least favourite ones are on there too, it’s very varied. Not sure if this is your kind of music but I really recommend you listen to Arctic Monkeys next, every album is different to the last and if you listened to the most recent album straight after their really popular debut album you’d think it was a different band! It is very interesting seeing how they have progressed and also the lyricism in their songs is so good. Love your channel anyway xx
I feel like as much as fans dont really like this album its important for lana. You have to look at it from the perspective in 2017. I feel like Lana used this album to cope. I know the songs arent as cohesive but their meaning are very deep. Her past stuff has been more depression but i feel like with Lust for life lana was finding herself again
Thank you for reacting honestly! This album is at the bottom of the list for me when I rank Lana’s albums. I think she is just better by herself. Her only album with features is the worst one lol. And honestly, they’re not BAD songs just not very cohesive. My favorites are Get Free, Cherry, and 13 Beaches. Thanks again for your reaction! I’m having a great time going on this deep dive with you 😄
White mustang music odeo actually made for the song "the best american record" which you will listen when you react to NFR
Thank you for doing these Lana reactions I’m addicted! Keep me coming!
Also, react to The Neighbourhood after Lana
Thank you so much for not ruining the song and talking all over them like some other reactions! Great job!
Would definitely recommend Lorde's 2 albums to follow LDR!
I love guys who appreciate Lana‘s music
When I first listened to LFL I thought it was her worst album, now that I’ve listened to it a few more times I think it might be one of her best
You need to react to her Best live performances !! They Will blow up your mind , and thannnnks for the video You are amazing
The heart of the album are in her words
I understand that is album is all over the place. I prefer the first part that is more doo-wop & hip hop inspired. The second half that’s more political is not my thing... Now NFR is a very concise vibe with one vision & sound. If u do not love NFR, then something is wrong. It is a masterpiece & my fav album of all time.....
ohh im watching the video and White Mustang started and i was like "YES, FINALLY" lol
The piano intro always gives me goosebumps. Incredible.
For me, When The World Was at War and In My Feelings are the best 😎
This is not my fav from her, but I got to be honest, the first time i listen i didnt understand the masterpiece i was listening. This album is beautiful and genius in its own way. I know im a bit parcial to speak about it, since im a fan, but its only true.
I love to see her exploring her own things and matters. I feel happy to see her evolution.
Lets goooo
i really think this album has some gems. 13 beaches is among my all time lana-faves, cherry, white mustand, heroin are stunningly beautiful too. and summer bummer is fire
By the way, I hated this album when I first listened to it. It was my least favorite, and have shied away from it for years. In comparison to Born to Die, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon.. It was just out of element. HOWEVER, 3 years later, I have grown to enjoy it. I keep coming back for 13 Beaches, Cherry, In My Feelings, Summer Bummer and Heroin. It's hard to explain it, but I come to it when I want to get a different sound from Lana, or when I'm not feeling the other sounds if that makes sense. It depends on what I'm going through lol- it's almost like you can't enjoy all albums at the same time... You will like one but not the other, and will go back and forth. Hope that makes sense, but that's at least how I feel about it hahaha.
It's a little bit rare that she made this for the fans and for the most of us this album is our least favourite.
I can't wait for NFR this is her best album and the lyrics of the songs are perfect and touching beside I can't believe this Lana Del Rey journey it's almost over, I'm waiting for the next artist
This album was definitely a grower for me. When I first heard it liked the hip hop influenced tracks and hated the rest. Now it's one of my top lana albums, relistened to it years later and couldn't believe I hadn't liked the slower songs!
IDK whyyyyyy! This album is so underrated! Every time I hear it i cry! I feel like if I was in woodstock or its just me jaja, but this album deserves way more recognition just for the last 4 tracks themselves
YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY FALL IN LOVE WITH HER NEXT ALBUM 😏
This isn't Lana's most consistent album, in fact, but I love every song on it :)
This album is different from the others and I love it.. Just listen to the outro of 'get free' as you watch the cover of NFR!.. I think this album was very necessary 💫❤👌
Ok after you’re done with NFR you need to react to “Lana Del Ray aka Lizzy Grant” please!
i feel like there’s so many masterpieces in those 150 songs long playlists of unreleased songs he really needs to listen to
I can't wait for NFR! 🤩
Your mistake is that you only see the instrumentals and the vocal in Lana's music. The essential part of her songs is THE LYRICS. If someone doesn't pay attention on them he will definetly not catch the mood and the beauty of her songs and that's what happens to you a lot of times as I watch your reactions.
Whaaaat? I came to see this video thinking you were gonna love Beautiful People Beautiful Problems. Haha but it’s ok. Still awesome
White Mustang and Heroin
I second that
