Yeah, I feel like Lust for Life is compressioned about between two fan favourite, iconic and well-known albums... Honeymoon and NFR Honeymoon started the transition from her early work into the current era we are in, Lust for Life is remarkable (for me) because she's fully into her transitional phase, it's experimental but not quite there yet, not as groundbreaking as NFR, Chemtrails, Blue Banisters and Ocean Blvd.
Finally someone who thinks Summer Bummer is cool. At first it sounds like a basic trap song but there's little details in the production + vocals that make it really nice.
I'm a Lust For Life stan so this album is so special for me. The cinematic production, hopeful lyrics and melodies and the messages are so beautiful. This album will always be her best album for me.
this album is so so special and unique! it truly is lanas transformation into healing and reminiscing on the past in a new light. from the production to the lyrics to the beats, this album is amazing. so many songs are underrated and unappreciated simply because they are different from her usual music, but once you listen to them more and appreciate what they’re saying, they become the best of lana. also white mustang is a double anecdote for “why am i staying”
OMG I haven't started the video yet but I'm so excited that NFR is next!!!!!!!! Can't wait for that one!! (also, friendly reminder to consider Marina's discography next please)!!
I have a special place in my heart for this album. I know everyone is excited for your reaction to NFR but I’m more excited to see your reactions for Ocean Blvd and Blue Banisters. Can’t wait to see those🙂
Well Lana never misses. Every album of her is iconic in it's own way and the difference between her aesthetics, lyrics and sounds makes her a unique versatile artist.
finally some lust for life appreciation! The most people don't like this song and don't like the Weekends parts in this song but i think their voices and vibes fits perfect together
This is my favorite album in the world, I just discovered it a few months ago and haven’t listened to anything else. The Taylor song you’re thinking of is Dancing with our Hands Tied ♥️
change is iconic, cause after that album, Lana is a completly different person, like, the next album (NFR) is one of the most important album of all time, it's just Lana's work of art, just another Lana, another moment, and we love it.
Did you know that 12 years ago, on September 26th The Weeknd discovered Lana Del Rey through tumblr, and was the first one to ask BBC Radio 1 to put 'Video Games' on their playlist. In fact in an interview Abel admits that when he met Lana, he felt that he had found the girl who was writing in her songs, that is, I found her muse for her songs. The Weeknd and Lana met in 2010, the year in which the Weeknd launched "Trilogy", and it is seen that they became very good friends, so much so that the voice of a woman who sounds in "Lonely Star" is inspired by Lana del Rey and it should be clarified that Lana helped a producer the album, "BBTM".On the surface, The Weeknd and Del Rey might seem like very different artists. After all, The Weeknd’s music hip hop and soul sound feels more in line with someone like Ariana Grande. Meanwhile, Del Rey’s career lives much more in line with rock-infused pop. However, the two artists are much more similar than the genres of their music might reveal. For instance, The Weeknd and Del Rey both often capture a dream-like quality in their songs. In addition, their lyrical content dips into dark territory, such as their preoccupation with drug references. So it makes sense they would work well together. And so they have. Beginning with The Weeknd’s 2015 single “Prisoner,” they’ve worked together on five songs.Although the Grammy Awards have yet to bestow a trophy to Del Rey, her work certainly makes a huge impact on The Weeknd. In fact, the “Blinding Lights” singer once revealed just how vital she is to his own music. In a 2015 interview with Pitchfork, The Weeknd explained the interconnected nature of Del Rey’s music and his own. “Me and Lana have been friends for a long time. I’ve inspired her. She’s inspired me. I feel like we’ve always been talking to each other through our music. She is the girl in my music, and I am the guy in her music. It’s just this ghostly collaboration that feels the most natural on the whole [Beauty Behind the Madness] album. Even the whole monologue intro on “Lonely Star” from [my 2011 mixtape] Thursday - I just realized now that that’s Lana. That’s Lana’s voice. I mean, it’s my voice pitched up, but it’s her. It’s who she is. She was definitely the first feature that I wanted to bring on this album.” The Weeknd and Del Rey are more than just collaborators, it seems. The pair’s music - according to The Weeknd - is spiritually linked. Perhaps this revelation puts into context not only the collaborations between these two but their respective catalogs as well. As great collaborations he has Prisoner, Party Monster where Lana makes Background vocals, Stargirl Interlude, Lust for Life and Money Power and Glory an unreleased remix by The weeknd for the album kissland but the original is from Lana's album Ultraviolence.Anyway, long life to this wonderful collaboration. Abelana Forever 🥰🥰. September 26 Abelana Anniversary. 12 years ago The Weeknd discovered Lana on Tumblr and they became friends ❤❤❤
Thanks for the vid!!!! Next to norman !!! Could you do a makeup inspired by the album aesthetic??? She use a lot of neon on a "simple" makeup and i think it would look nice on you ;;;)))
38:31 you’re thinking of the bridge from “Dancing with out hands tied”✨ I'd kiss you as the lights went out Swaying as the room burned down I'd hold you as the water rushes in If I could dance with you again I'd kiss you as the lights went out Swaying as the room burned down I'd hold you as the water rushes in If I could dance with you again
Lust for Life is an underrated masterpiece, the details of the background vocals and production make this one of her most unique records!
YESSSSS!

Weakest song of Lana
I'm a Lust For Life stan so this album is so special for me. The cinematic production, hopeful lyrics and melodies and the messages are so beautiful. This album will always be her best album for me.
"Heroin" is so underrated masterpiece. You can switch word "heroin" to any other, f.e. fame or Hollywood, and the meaning will be the same.

Well Lana never misses. Every album of her is iconic in it's own way and the difference between her aesthetics, lyrics and sounds makes her a unique versatile artist.
Don’t know if you noticed but in white mustang she’s singing in a way so it also sounds like ”why am i staying?” when she sings ”(your) white mustang”
i didnt notice that at first but i can hear it now!
finally some lust for life appreciation! The most people don't like this song and don't like the Weekends parts in this song but i think their voices and vibes fits perfect together
