"Minton's takes its name from one of the historic jazz clubs in New York, in which the so-called bebop genre was born, the "swing taken to the extreme", and in which the greatest musicians in the history of jazz such as Parker, Dizzy or Davis, to name a few. Well ... I imagined myself sitting under that stage at 4 in the morning, in a smoky room with a discolored green carpet that smells like tobacco mixed mold, crowded with people of all kinds including writers, photographers, musicians in search of a reputation, pimps, whores, some half-politician huddled in a corner, a stray dog ​​crouched in the hall, and with Miles Davis on the stage turning to Charlie Parker (stoned like a monkey) and saying "Fuck Charlie this is no time to go and lock you in the toilet! Let's hit a bop and make these assholes jump on the tables ”.
Imagining that kind of environment I composed this piece".
