It was a big difference from having a low fade my entire life, including my military service. It's been an affirming journey. I feel more connected to the ancestors, culture, and heritage. Always a pleasure. What products are you using for your two-strand twist? I've tried two-strand twists in the past, but my hair is so thick that it doesn't look good on me. It's more of a wavy afro. 😁 Maybe I should try twisting it with gel.
@@WhereisTiffany I use a combination of Cantu Shae Butter maximum hold gel for Twisting, Cream of Nature Coconut Milk Detangling and Conditioner Shampoo for washing/Conditioning, and, "It's a 10 spray sheen". I also use Lavender and Marula Moisturizing Oil Treatment to Moisturize my scalp between retwisiting. Although the twists are outstanding, I'm still trying to figure out what's best. I want to try a few more styles that fit my perspective. I cannot express to you how much your content means to us. RV van life, cooking on a budget, hair DEMO'S, and traveling while working, are all such unique experiences that many of us want to figure out how to incorporate. God sent you to show us the way. You are also poised and beautiful, which makes the experience even more meaningful
I use a lot of Miracle 10 products. I have lots of blond highlights in my hair to cover and blend in the gray. It makes my hair super dry but hides the gray and that is a good trade for me!
The Joico line in the bronze containers is a good pH balanced group of products also.
Hmm, I wonder if a hot oil or protein treatment would help with the dryness?

You look very serious applying your makeup then smile so sweet. Made me smile. I do love your short natural curly hair cut. My hair is dry with a natural curl. I'm a wash and don't dry unless I am going out. If I spend 10 minutes in the shower that is a long time. I'm still on military speed even after 20 years of retirement. This is very informative! I noticed that you've been rocking curls lately! I use Pantene Gold series products, my favorite for my hair. I'm completely natural now for about 5 years, my goal is butt length hair and it's at the end of waist now. It's a lot sometimes! I use that oil in my scalp too! My natural hair regime is similar to yours. I use aloe, avocado or jojoba oil treatment(depending on what I have) for pre-pooing and I use a deep conditioner, after shampooing. I'm obsessed with Shea Moisture products!
Well, as a white woman with stick straight hair I have to say this video was very enlightening. I have always loved afros and curls on women and men of color but had no idea how much work goes into your hair care routine. You are just so naturally pretty I'm surprised you wear any makeup other than lipgloss. You could definitely get away with none. Thanks for sharing. I have a new respect.

Your hair looks healthy and gorgeous. I'm all natural (16 yrs) as well and what a chore it was when it was almost to my butt. I Ms. Clairol'd for years, both perm and natural until I started graying. I've become brave this past 2 yrs, got a tapered cut and now rocking my salt and pepper, mostly salt. Shorter hair has been so freeing. Products used: Qhemet Biologics, Oyin, Kinky Curly and Curls. I can be a bit of a product junkie but over the yrs I've streamlined to those. Whenever I get on the road I will definitely be looking to modify my routine.

Deep conditioning was a big game changer for my hair which is extremely dry and tangles so easy. I need to do hot oil treatments as well use to when, I was relaxed definitely made hair healthier I'm loving you're natural hair.

Love your wash and go routine. I've been natural for almost 3 years. I love my natural hair but it is so much work! My wash day routine is a chore, I use a mixture of fenegreek, coconut oil, aloe vera gel and a mixture of several different oils for my conditioner. I also use a plethora of products to keep my twist out looking decent. To be completely honest I miss how carefree my hair routine was when I had a perm but the health concerns that come with that carefree routine are definitely not worth it.

I know it’s taken you time to figure out what works for your hair and I think it looks perfect. Your system is simple but a really effective those curls are perfect. I use PATTERN curl gel for a curly look & the strong gel for a slick pony tail. I use Viori soaps (shampoo & conditioner) my scalp is sensitive and my hair is fully grey so this product is super gentle. I also use a purple shampoo & conditioner by L’Oreal & Native shampoo & conditioner neither of which have sulfates. My stylist friends always tell me to oil my hair when it’s wet like you do so it absorbs well. Jojoba oil is really effective at hydrating (even cuticles) it’s a small molecule which helps it to absorb. Great video Tiffany. ❤️‼️

Just an fyi you can use a dryer (with or without a diffuser) on just air setting (no heat). That will help dry those hard to dry areas without damaging your hair.👍🏽😊

I have 4C and 3 different grades on my hair… I like that gel too, I’ve only used Mielle scalp oils and a hot oil treatment is always nice
