Since it was probably a write off, not much point in trying to save anything. Insurance companies may write a repairable car off because it takes too long to get parts, or the cost of the rental to the customer makes it too expensive in the longer term.
Not always about damage to the car.

Came out the next morning from the Hotel and there was a perfectly round crisp hole punched in the back bumper down low about 3 inch's in diameter. Like somebody drilled it out with a 3 inch hole bit. Just crazy. That would have been a couple of grand.

Hey coolcat, sorry you are going through such a rough time. Sending prayers and hope for a warm, safe home that's just right for you and your son, real soon. Love from another cool cat in New Zealand.

In our city, we require that any time a street is blocked both ways, the contractor/business must place cones and signs at the nearest intersections, that the road is closed ahead temporarily.

I'm sure it depends on how long the road might be closed for. A ten minute closure seems like people can wait for that.

@@Cheepchipsable I think the law says 5 min. but people are impatient and cause more traffic problems, especially when they have no idea. Also, he would have some liability if he doesn't take proper precautions.

Will they ever work on these roads and remove the ditches? Does not look like a place I wish to visit or rent? I lived on a Mtn. Ridge for 20 yrs in SW VA and our ridges had rocks in place so you did not get stuck. Nice views but not worth the trouble. Good to see you know what you are doing. You are the expert here…always enjoy your videos.

Ditches have to be there for drainage and such. Redoing these with curb, gutter, and pipe would be insanely expensive. This is mountain life.

Did anybody else see the ghost? Go to about 21:02 and watch the right side of the road down in the ditch and you will see it walk from right to left down in the weeds.

OH Snap! If there was truly a really bad spot to go off the side of the road, the first guy found it 😮😮

Man, on some of those recoveries, you need a half size rotator to clear those ditches.

Big red's turn to do some work, if more then one tow companies are called think that which ever tow company gets there first it's there recovery but the issue is the payments for each tow companies time and labor, I wouldnt allow anyone tell me how to do my job unless it's another tower, having another tow company can be good if a second Wreaker is needed for a wrench out could be a positive thing, car rentals usually don't like when there vehicles get damaged but accidents do happen, that's a Penske truck, fed Ex has to have limits on where there delivery drivers go
