The Women's Discus Throw Final featured six Tokyo 2020 Olympians, four of them Olympic Finalists: Olympic Champion Valarie Allman (USA), Reigning World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist Yaimé Pérez (Cuba), and two-time Olympic Champion, World Champion Sandra Perković (Croatia), also Liliana Cá (Portugal).
Former Stanford Cardinal Allman was close to clearing 70m and took Full Honors.
