- The Final Shape raid has been beaten and the final mission to the Light and Darkness saga of Destiny 2 has released! The first time played this mission, my eyes got really glassy, but I didn't cry because I'm dead inside. I thought it was the perfect way to end the story! Unfortunately, this recording is from the 3rd time playing because of all the error codes, and I had to replay the first cinematic twice, but it's a really good cutscene so who cares!

the fact that the world's first team was the only one to complete the raid within the first 24 hours makes the intro cutscene even more lore accurate
and also the only team to complete it twice within 48hrs. just 7-8hrs after their first completion

I don’t think pacing is the issue at all. I think the fact that they spread out the story within the span of a week made the build up time of it better and more enjoyable.
Agreed - those three days were used on preparing to siege the monolith and weakening the Witness' hold by healing the Traveler. Also, theres the fact the entire final battle against the Witness hinged on the Raid. Some people were annoyed it was happening on Friday, can you imagine if it started basically immediately after the Campaign? Pandaemonium.

26:46 is my favourite track thats chill in all of Destiny. I wish D2 had more like it. D1 also has deconstruction, the tower, the traveller, passage, the journey home. They r all so emotionally present and world definining soundscapes. This one is called Tranquility, a perfect name for it. It played in the tower at nightime.
That would get me so hype if I heard Zavala say one fireteam and I’m part of that one fireteam 😭😭😭
I will never, ever not be torn apart by Ghost’s “Guardian…! There you are…!” 😭 the genuine RELIEF in his voice… even after he’d returned to the light, he was searching for us… oh how I love him so much, I was in shambles and so thankful the dev team had our guardian just hold him close so lovingly

Some of that D1 music played when you were in orbit and at the tower, but a lot of it was never used in-game until now

The traveler is now light and dark merged…so does that mean the final shape happened but not as the witness intended?! D3?!
I don't think it's fully merged not truly.
I think we, the guardian are the final Shape. We get the title " The Final shape" in the triumphs. We have mastered light and dark. Better than anyone else
@@JeffreyAppSteam I agree with that but it also happened to the traveler after the fight as well. The traveler isn’t just light anymore but light and dark merged just like us. That’s why the light and dark saga is over because they became 1. Idk maybe I’m reading too much into it lol
So if i select the option to remove my helmet in public spaces, will my characters face show up in the final cutscenes? My Guardian just has his helmet on but thinks its way better to see your individual character!
Yeah, it will. That’s how you can see your character without the helmet. Just swap the helmet off in public spaces and you can see your character’s face in cutscenes/depending on the scene.
If they're gonna make us start fresh, (If D3 ever happens) I would prefer it be something set either far in the distant past, during the dark ages, or far enough ahead, that the tales of the witness and our guardian, are myths and legends.

I wish this wasnt a matchmaking activity and make it solo-able. Bc my internet doesnt allow me to matchmake, i have to solo, join/invite friends or use lfg. And the damn cutscene in beginning plays everytime you try to play this with out skipping is annoying.
This is the end of destiny 2, no more dlc just the same seasons, game going to slowly die.
