Now over 70 years later she's returning to the Abbey for the King's Coronation - making her one of the only people to attend both historic ceremonies. Lady Glenconner joins Lorraine live in the studio to reveal the secrets behind such a momentous day including the advice she has for Prince George and the one item she'll be taking to the event in her handbag.

When I listen to Lady Glenconner I just smile with joy. She seems to be genuinely thrilled to be attending the Coronation. What an honour to be invited to be part of two coronations. I do hope she wears that very special brooch 🥰
Yes-so glad she shares her memories of crowning of Queen Ellizabeth -25yr old when her father died in 1952 and coronation in 1953. Great Leader.
@@Mulcahy22 You do know that there was plenty of doubt at the time about that young girl ascending to the throne. There were plenty of critics. Fortunately, without social media, people didn't have to listen to them.

Goodness...let her talk without all the interruptions! I got stressed just listening to all the interruptions. Hope Nana interviews her, as she is fabulous to let her guests talk without rude and sudden, whirlwind interruptions.

What a remarkable lady. She’s had such an eventful life, full of triumph and terrible tragedy. She deserved to be invited.
If you’re not easily shocked, I highly recommend checking out her appearance on the Graham Norton Show from a few years ago. The story of her honeymoon had me roaring with laughter. She is a wonderful and funny story teller and she had all the guests and the audience absolutely riveted.
I read her wonderful book and she was so forthright, yet so charming in writing about the honeymoon and other antics of her husband. I couldn't put the book down. It was so fascinating and her writing was like listening to her talk.
That's an unusual reaction to something that was really very sad.

She isn't, she is over 90. I think she was talking about the coronation which was 70 years before.
She will be 91 in July. Great lady very loyal to the RF. In her eyes they could do nothing wrong. Would have liked to hear her oppinion about Camilla ?! The lady Ann is extremely polite but doesnt lie.
Very frustrating to want to see the photography on the Lorraine show…but it’s always blurred…. No sense bothering ! 😢

I have just heard on "Palace Confidential" (YT Daily Mail) that apparently, Charles resented Lord Mountbatten for telling the Queen that Charles could NOT marry Camilla ever, because "she had a past". But it seems a bit far fetched to imagine that Charles is getting his revenge NOW by not inviting Mountbatten's daughter...

I’ll answer in view of knowledge rather than emotion. Nobility, from the French, noble, meaning high ranking. It had very little to do with today’s meaning linking to morality. Language is constantly changing. So to answer your question - nothing, but that doesn’t mean that members of the nobility cannot be noble in their behaviour.
What a nuisance and how annoying when they show blurry pictures. Why show them? I find it extremely rude towards us who are watching.
