This game's storyline starts like something written by a 12-year old as a self-fantasy escapism, lol. "She was a bad girl, but on the inside she was good, she wanted to cut ties with the bad people, but they found her, her money burned down because plot needs to happen and obviously she has magical powers, because she's awesome!"... But MK as always delivers, so I can't complain on *that* level, good job as always, guys!

I also notice that they kept all the seeds and consequential lines regarding Frey's suicide attempt, but recorded her actual attempt scene. It clearly didn't go over well with test audiences, and understandably so. But I guess it feels jarring that they left in so many references to the pre-edit scene.

At around 7 hours of this vid (I skip a lot) my brain suddenly went... "wait, is Cuff manipulating her?" And it all made sense. It just clicks together like a lego. Cuff arrived before Break, while already Tanta's were mad. They turned him into cuff. So why do they have cuffs themselves? Cuz cuff itself is a corrupting artifact. It just works.

Played the demo and the gameplay is fun, tbh this reminds me of prototype, the kind of game I can turn my brain off & play without caring about the story, movement is fun, combat is cool as fuck, the spell system feels nice & the number of spells at your disposal is actually pretty nuts. Definitely getting this game at some point to fuck some monsters up.

I really enjoyed this game! It was on sale, so i bought it and finished it in around 14 hrs. I had a lot of fun with the combat and travel across the map, and I actually became invested in the story as well! Some lines were pretty funny, though not all, amd walking through the carnaged streets full of ppl after the break encroachment actually made me feel for the characters. Graphics and fps were good on my pc too on ultra specs, but that could be because of my setup. Either way, i had a lot of fun!

The dialogue is terrible in the beginning. And then the gun scene where the Frey took 37 minutes to run away from the girl with a gun who could've just easily shot her. And her talking to the judge, the part where she interjects is like something out of air bud.

Based on your videos I decide whether to spend my money on a game or not, this is definitely a title, I wouldn't consider buying especially with a price tag of 80 euros, not to mention the bundle pack is 105 euros, so yeah I will pass.

I enjoyed your video; this game feels a lot like Brutal Legends (with Jack Black), but takes itself waaay too seriously without actually being as deep as it thinks (i.e. almost every problem was caused by the MC's thoughtlessness. Instead of overcoming an obstacle you were fighting the protagonist every step of the way.). Forspoken would be a lot better with a Miles Morales type character, goofy and carefree; the Flow ability is a good indication of this, it keeps the character at a fast pace and allows for reckless stunts and flashy maneuvers, which doesn't really suit Frey's personality since she's always dower and antagonistic (not a fun combo lol).
Forspoken got too many bad reviews. Pros: it has interesting story, its unique combat is also fun to play and magic are very amazing. Cons: It is the least optimized game i've ever played on pc, world is empty to explore, lifeless character acting. However Forspoken isn't bad game at all bcuz these cons mentioned above are forgiveable imo. Just shut up and don't copy/paste what toxic haters said if you've never played it before yet
I really liked the story. The main character is definitely tropey af but most fantasy main characters are so she's not that bad. But I don't know whether it's a lack of creativity or if a game is the wrong format to tell this tale. At the end of the day I'd have to give the game a 4 out of 10 for overall appeal, it just feels unfinished.
As a passerby... I can only say that $70 is too expensive for such an unfinished atmospheric tech demo-esque slash Marvel superhero movies and zoomer humour kinda game like this one. And people said there's only ONE whole town with people in it, but the surrounding travelable vast and wild lands are completely devoid of people and/or quests although there are hostile monsters or bandits here and there, and that's it. She was completely azzhole-ish to strangers and other beings, and pretty much has plot armour as an arrogant Chuuni main character. No consequences can affect her selfishness and no laws can stop her, thus she's really unlikable as a character. She definitely makes the silent player trope appreciated more.

Oh shit, I was not expecting the twist. I stand by the criticism on character design I had, but I really did enjoy this game, especially the ending even though some of it didn't feel deserved.
hopefully they have an option to turn off the repetitive speech. pretty annoying in each fight on each artifact or even when just running around you keep hearing the same speech over and over again.
One part of the character intrraction i didnt like was her looking at cuff when she talked to him when she didnt have to. If she could walk while asking questions, take the pauses at the end of each interaction in game, and allow skipping of cutscenes, and skip through conversations, those would be the most irritations i had with the game. I enjoyed it over most games this year. At least it didnt copy all previous games when it came to combat and traversal.
The complaints about this game are mostly in the dialouge and the initial premise but this game does seem actually fun. I think that should be the focus. But I think people really need to understand that producers rarely set the prices for the game. Publishers set the price of most games and while it may not be a long game it runs smoothly on PS5 which is a rarity. Should it be 70? No but should *any* game be 70$? Absolutely not. I think the game and premise have a lot of potential but it plays out like a Disney movie and could develop a lot further. It's the second game by its studio so it will take time but it's a Japanese developer translating American ideas into game format. Just give it a chance and if you like it play it but not all games have to be a 10/10 to warrant that.
I'm like 3 minutes in & this is wild. Courts do not work like this irl, a judge behaving like that in court would lead to a mistrial. The only real thing about this is the 3-Strikes law and even that would automatically lead to a sentencing, no option for clemency.
No hate to Forspoken but Infamous still remains as the best game when it comes to powers and abilities. Speaking of Infamous, man we need a new Infamous game. I really liked the story. The main character is definitely tropey af but most fantasy main characters are so she's not that bad. But I don't know whether it's a lack of creativity or if a game is the wrong format to tell this tale.
At the end of the day I'd have to give the game a 4 out of 10 for overall appeal, it just feels unfinished.

As a passerby... I can only say that $70 is too expensive for such an unfinished atmospheric tech demo-esque slash Marvel superhero movies and zoomer humour kinda game like this one. And people said there's only ONE whole town with people in it, but the surrounding travelable vast and wild lands are completely devoid of people and/or quests although there are hostile monsters or bandits here and there, and that's it. She was completely azzhole-ish to strangers and other beings, and pretty much has plot armour as an arrogant Chuuni main character. No consequences can affect her selfishness and no laws can stop her, thus she's really unlikable as a character. She definitely makes the silent player trope appreciated more.

Oh shit, I was not expecting the twist. I stand by the criticism on character design I had, but I really did enjoy this game, especially the ending even though some of it didn't feel deserved.

hopefully they have an option to turn off the repetitive speech. pretty annoying in each fight on each artifact or even when just running around you keep hearing the same speech over and over again.
One part of the character intrraction i didnt like was her looking at cuff when she talked to him when she didnt have to. If she could walk while asking questions, take the pauses at the end of each interaction in game, and allow skipping of cutscenes, and skip through conversations, those would be the most irritations i had with the game. I enjoyed it over most games this year. At least it didnt copy all previous games when it came to combat and traversal.
The complaints about this game are mostly in the dialouge and the initial premise but this game does seem actually fun. I think that should be the focus. But I think people really need to understand that producers rarely set the prices for the game. Publishers set the price of most games and while it may not be a long game it runs smoothly on PS5 which is a rarity. Should it be 70? No but should *any* game be 70$? Absolutely not.
I think the game and premise have a lot of potential but it plays out like a Disney movie and could develop a lot further. It's the second game by its studio so it will take time but it's a Japanese developer translating American ideas into game format. Just give it a chance and if you like it play it but not all games have to be a 10/10 to warrant that.
Tbh I kinda like the characters and the gameplay, it looks fun and I'm genuinely intrigued to see how she interacts with others and grows as a person.

I'm like 3 minutes in & this is wild. Courts do not work like this irl, a judge behaving like that in court would lead to a mistrial. The only real thing about this is the 3-Strikes law and even that would automatically lead to a sentencing, no option for clemency.
