Hi Joanna- your Skinner Blend turned out pretty well this time. Something to remember when doing an SK is that every time you put it through the pasta machine it will get wider. To get a blend that is narrower and longer, butt the edge of the blend up against the right side of the pasta machine as you run it through and then flip it around so the opposite side is against the machine next time. All pasta machines are slightly wider or narrower on one side. By flipping the piece you even it out. To get a long skinny piece to accordion fold or roll, cut the blend into even straps (across the blend) , stack them and roll them through the machine length wise at whatever thickness you want and you'll get your strip. Hope this makes sense. I love your pendants and hate to see you struggle with the skinner blends when really, it's just a couple of tricks to get a beautiful even blend. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and your positive attitude.❤😊
Caroline, you are beyond wonderful for taking time to help me out as skinner blend is for sure my Achilles hill, as you have seen. I will so work on it this weekend with your comment open and following every step. I'm determined to master it at one point in my life! Thank you for all your help. Will let you know how it went!
Caroline, thank you so much for the tip! I really do think that my skinner blends are much better when I flip the clay. This was such great tip! Have an amazing day!
Good morning my sweet glitter sister 🙂 I absolutely love this pendant and the black pearl was the perfect touch!! Those metallics are some of my favorites also 🙂I have had a whole science project of clay on my table this week just experimenting and seeing what I could come up with. LOL. I will have to send you a picture 🙂Congratulations to the winners! I hope you have an amazing weekend my friend! Big hugs
Always a treat to see you create Joanna. When you were cutting the teardrop I was like … how is that going to come together?? Lol. Love that idea. Thanks as always for sharing with all of us ❤
Trust me, my dear Gaby, this was a surprise outcome to me too but I think that is why clay is so fun to play with. If you don't like how a piece turned out, just roll it up and try it again. Hope you are having an amazing day! Hugs
I was scammed. Lost “shipping money.” I think when you announce a giveaway, let people knowin advance that there will be live drawing for the winner in the future. Thank you. This video is amazing.
Oh Lynn, I am so so sorry to hear that. I did mention in my geode video that I would draw names in this weeks video. I would never ever ask anyone to click on any links or give out information unless you willingly contact me at my email. My friend, it breaks my heart to see that a fun thing could turn into this. Thank you so much for your continued support. Hugs
I love this technique!
My dear Cathy, thank you so so much!
Now that’s different and I love it.
