Iythiy'el Very good layout of the Word l had let slip Agabus and Cornelius So many Names and so little time makes one desire more to read Gods Word. Shalowm and Thank God for inquiring Hearts. Amen.
I love these nonmultiple choice quizzes. Got 4 wrong, on 2 of them I knew the name but couldn't come up with it before the timer rann out. On a multiple choice I would have gotten them. This is more challenging.
Seen your channel for the first time and just like that subscribed. I also hit the like button. Didn't do very well. Believe I got 12 wrong and 8 right. Guess I can make an excuse because of my old age of 71, but the fact is I must not opened my Bible as often as I should've. Enjoyed your quiz.
Jesus is king. Let your faith rise and shine brightly for His glory. Jesus is not an illusion, He is the truth !!! He is able to do what man cannot do. He can change your life if you let Him. 🙏
Question number 13 is a prime example of why many NIV and other versions of the bible are not good. They are not a, "word for word" but a "thought for thought" interpretation. In other words they are based on what someone thought it said. A Bible student wants and needs to have a word for word. The example I am pointing out here is the interpretation of "a wild flower" in place of the King James version which is a word for word and is translated as, "consider the Lily of the field." What is missed here is that the reference, "Lily" in this part of the world is one of the most beautiful in all the world and exceptionally so. So when Jesus referred to this flower as being better clothed than "King Solomon in all his glory" it adds great significance to the reference! Not just any run of the mill wild flower, but "the Lily"! Imagine a flower so beautiful that the wealthiest and most glorious earthly king was not nearly as beautiful as! This is only a small error but one that causes great losses to the reader. Other examples are even worse because they interject false doctrine and grave error to the believer. If I sound nit-picky, I am! The Truth known sets us free but false doctrine crept in subtly leads to bondage.
Interesting argument. Although an argument that a wealthy king was not clothed better than even a "common" wildflower would be an even stronger argument in favour of Gods creation.
That’s great observation if the King James were the standard, yet it’s not. The Greek and Hebrew are. The issue with making the king james the standard is one must say it’s perfect. Some do, they’re KJV onlyists. If that’s your belief then disregard the original transcripts because God didn’t write the true bible in English until 1611. And one other thing, if it’s perfect, why don’t you claim the 1611 only? The KJV used today is a revision of the original where they made changes to it. Just some food for thought brother.
The NASB is also a very good translation and I think it is so wrong to elevate a Bible Version so much as to thrash every other version The Dead Sea Scrolls hadn't been discovered in 1611 AD and they were a very important find. Many new Bible versions use orginal Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic texts too not just the KJV. You don't have to have or use a KJV to be saved although it is a very good version and no one denies that, but it is not the only accurate version available. On reading both the KJV and NIV side by side I find very little differences between the two.
So you are saying all English versions or even the orginal versions in other languages such as Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic before 1611 are wrong? So the orginal writers of the Bible were wrong and every other version bar the King James Version is wrong? So no true born again Christians existed until 1611 AD in England according to you King James Version Onlyists? We do have the KJV of 1611 in wide circulation today and it has been changed since then to reflect modern English not Shakespearian English. Naturally the orginal languages are best but not everyone speaks Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic unfortunately so yes it has been faithfully translated into other languages including English. I am sure Jerome translated some if most of it correctly into Latin and came a long time before 1611 AD as did Wycliffe, Tyndale and Martin Luther.
