Thanks for posting this. Sails of Silver was the first Steeleye album I didn't transfer to tape....because I didn't expect to play it more than once. There's nothing on here that grabbed me. Maybe they moved on and I didn't. I'm sure I have this album somewhere in the attic, but now I don't have to search for it. I've heard it for a second time. 🙂
It's like Blondie Parallel Lines. Every single song is brilliant....smooth, attractive, fun, rich. Ooooh, what a great record. Thank you sharing. Lord, I've said enough. Where are other posters?? Missing it. That's where.
Their best album ever. I had the pleasure of being introduced to the group around this time and, for a time, became friends (hat tip to Mike Sanderson 😉). A nicer bunch of people you'll never meet. I remember once at a concert in Reading after another brilliant concert, they (and Mary Hopkins) came and joined us for a drink and Peter handed me his violin whilst he went to the bar to get the drinks. Happy days indeed - wish I could go back .....

This could be turned into a musical.
Heard this at The House of Blues on Sunset Strip's House of Blues in the 90's
It's part of a movie soundtrack I think, but I cannot remember which.
Why is individually and collectively not allowed in England.
What?
