about 4 or 5 years ago I commented that I hoped you hooked up with Casey Neistat. You responded something to the effect that it would be a dream.......now look at you. You are an inspiration to so many. Myself included. Someday there will be a big fat book with your mug on it and I promise to buy a copy.....nicely done Ben. And to Casey......class act treating his friends to an epic celebration. You are all truly the most positive influencers......best of life to you.

Ben, I've watched you from the very beginning. I watched you make guys from /r/surfing salty because of how stoked you got over small, obscure novelty waves. I watched you hit the same spots, week after week, powering through because of how passionate you were. I honestly cried when you first opened up about your past addiction with alcohol. I watched when you were combing the states to look for waves, and how you almost hit your wit's end because of how crazy and difficult the idea was. I was so pissed that I missed you surfing my home break at Huntington Beach.
Now you've went from a few hundred subscribers to one hundred and thirty-six thousand people. You've blasted past your goals and have met some of the biggest names in surfing. I'm so proud to see you living the dream, and honestly, you inspire me like no one else -- you've taught me that if you have the passion to do what you love, despite any circumstance, you CAN make it. You've help changed my life. Thank you so much.
