I may have grown up in New England but my godness I relate to everything in this song so much. It takes me back to being 16/17 again in the best ways possible. I always think about being in HS and those january and feburary weekends when it was 15 degrees and a foot of snow. Special nights that I will cherish forever thank you for this awesome song
Ann Arbor Michigan checking in. Ryan reps our homestate well! Great song! Just heard yesterday for the first time and it immediately went in my playlist
If you told me this was country music I probably wouldn't have believed you. Kept thinking a little bit of Kid Rock rock and roll vibes. This song is so good!
And that’s why I show ppl the songs I like and don’t tell them I listen to country music bc country is such a WIDE genre, classic country, rap country, bluegrass country, pop country, modern country ect 😂
@@AddisonJ-p3q I grew up elsewhere but what's so great is it still resonates. Swap out a few words and it's 80s Pacific Northwest. (Less snow but still cold and dark.)
I absolutely love this song. It brings back great memories of growing up in Ludington and the shores of Lake Michigan. This song feels like a Nickelback, Greenday vibe. You are one of the few who can perform in mmultiple genres. ❤❤
This song literally never gets old. Like ever. I still play it on repeat and its been months and months since I first heard it. Im not from the midwest, But Im from the northeast, and 8 months out of the year, its cold as shit, so I can relate.
About time someone made a song about the Midwest. There is lots of songs about the South but I've never heard one about the Midwest. I'm from Central IL which does not get no where as much snow or cold weather as Michigan. The ice around here is usually no more than 6 inches thick in the winter and in Michigan the ice is thick enough to drive cars onto.
Michigan is by far the most "country" state. I've lived all over the country. Michigan is by far the best. Better than Texas, California or any other southern state.
Looks like Michigan in the video. I grew up in Grand Rapids and Chicago so this song and the video resonate with me a little. Ryan Hurd seems like a cool and talented guy who choose the wrong person to marry. Happens to so many good dudes, really blows up their life.
Absolutely love this song! Doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous and sexy too. ☺️ He’s very underrated but hopefully that changes soon and his career takes off.
Lost count of how many times I’ve listened to this
Same here 💯❤️
Same
Same here trust me
You are not alone!😁

My neighbors know this song now

I don’t know what it is about this song. But it hits
This guy is completely underrated. Hope the industry realizes they should elevate him. Great song!
I wonder if he was part of a famous band at one time his voice sounds familiar
@@NancyZalzalah-pl7lg he has wrote numerous hit songs for artists like Shelton, Bryan, and Lady Antebellum.
The reason is cause he was with Marren Morris.... so glad they're not together anymore and Ryan can do better then that!!!!!!😊
@@evelynprice7418 I believe he wrote a lot of her songs?
This song needs to be in NHL 25
For sure. I was listening to it while playing 24 earlier it fits so well
This deserves more views 🔥
when you play it over and over and your head fills of memories from long ago and long forgotten and you smile, you know its good.😀

Wisconsin girly here, can confirm this reminds me of high school❄️🧀
Ope, fellow Wisconsinite, fully agree!!
Love this song! To me it feels like the perfect mashup of Smashing Pumpkins 1979 nostalgia and Eric Church's Springsteen.
i felt the Nickelback/Greenday vibe in it. But i agree with Eric Church I never listened to Smashing pumpkins.
Ann Arbor Michigan checking in. Ryan reps our homestate well! Great song! Just heard yesterday for the first time and it immediately went in my playlist

Honestly this song grips my heart...I live in Chi Town.. but I made a summer video where it made complete sense. I love this song 🎵
I love that this guy sings about the Midwest and it’s still country technically music, and not about the south

“You set your own heart on fire when you grow up where it’s cold”
I ain’t from the Midwest but that line rings true for me in VT
