You know my buddy and I couldn't wrap our heads around all those chords! So we did this a Capella with just a tambourine in a little chapel in the Danish woods, late at night. The acoustics were fantastic and we thought we were alone! After we were done an old priest came out of the shadows and asked us to perform the next Sunday before his Congregation on Sunday which consists of eleven people! We were sixteen and shat our pants and said NO! Today I think we should have?!
You look like the way I felt listening to these songs more than 20yrs ago. Marillion have always connected on a level that brings tears, even now. I'm so glad to see that a younger person can find out about this great band.
Hogarth's vocals are haunting on this song. He makes sadness beautiful. Very insightful thoughts afterwards, love can make people do bad things and hate can drive someone to do good to compensate. The complexities of the human condition laid bare.
'Beyond You' is pure class - lovely lyrics ,just watched your reaction to 'go', glad you liked it , its a fan favourite and I know you've done the Space already , but I implore you to watch the space live at the Royal Albert Hall, its impressive to say the least - enjoy.
Sun reason can’t comment on the go song so I’ll do it hear yippoeee it’s live so makes it their best song ever it from my number ten album and is my no 1 song on that album loved the commercials kicking in (was that what it was???? Makes me think of stop n shop commercials kicking in 🙃🙃🙃 loved the orchestra and horn player this is so super awesome luv songs about vacation err promise I’ll review this song too
I find it interesting how the obsession of Beyond You took you to Nobokov's great work. Very interesting exposition! You're exactly right--we don't really know the extent of Humbert's obsession-delusion.
I've been listening to you talk about that great book , You need to check out marillion masterpiece album 'Brave' which is about a young lady who is lost in so many different ways - pull up the lyrics to the whole album and read the whole thing first , you will be amazed & then listen to it aswell - enjoy.
Hi! Actually, I found a link online to a movie they made of it. It was a dark masterpiece, but the lead actress especially was amazing in it, so I do want to hear the album now, after having seen the movie.
@@SummerMcGaha the film was very dark but the album is Beautiful Dark and very immersive and is only second best to clutching at straws , these to albums are most fans favourites with misplaced childhood - afraid of sunlight - fugazi - marbles & f.e.a.r , close behind .
So this song his voice certainly freaks me out I can feel the anguish (thx ggle) his voice is so purely ghostly it tears right into my ears it was a bit ouchy with all those big crashing sounds I just kept thinking that he was possessive in trying to say how he wants somebody or loves them but just doesn’t know how to reach them or that he knows he can’t have this person and he’s explaining what it’s like to be rejected an maybe she’s doin it on purpose or maybe be it’s just another guy that just can’t get over that he needs to move on lol I’ve no idea I just like it and his voice is perfect but it’s ear crashing

my favorite or #1 album ever. Fetal-position inducing. I even had the lyrics to Made Again read at my wedding.
