My coming 2 year old gelding - Please read below as well! 💙

This is my coming 2 yr. old gelding - We are saddling up for in hand learning - He is NOT being RIDDEN at this time, nor will he be for several more months. IN HAND ONLY AT THIS TIME!
We have worked at desensitization of numerous things and situations daily since he arrived here at the young age of 4 months - I started with basic things, walk, whoa, back, grooming, hoof care, face and ear touching, etc., I have been dedicated to his well being, and learning and also his trust of the things he is doing and his trust in me. This is extremely rewarding and it takes dedication, patience and more patience. But it's worth every minute and every ounce of energy it takes to help them understand and process new things.
You will see in the beginning of this video, the Stirrup comes down and he reacts "minimally" to it. This is a solid, confident gelding and I will continue to do what we do, day by day to keep building this gelding and his knowledge.
I am typically alone when working with my horses so I typically teach them to stand while I gather what is needed. Eventually I can leave the rope off and they will stay stationary for me while I get the saddle, pad, horse spray, etc...(I will do this in the arena only) IF we are away from home, they would absolutely have their leads on.
But this video is just about seeing the calmness and willingness in a young horse, that has had time and patience put into him. I'm not a professional trainer (obviously), turning out horse after horse.... But I am, 45 years of dedicating my life to the horses that are in my life..... and to many others who may have needed a hand... 💙🐎🙏.. I am proud of my horses and the life we have built and the continued learning we do everyday! In this life with horses, we are always learning and always open to more learning!
