@@TheAdventureCloset the last night hunt I did I was alone. It was about 1 am and something growed at me from the river bank. It truly had me scared, I grasped my Pooter poker like a baseball bat and yelled come on you mfer then let out my best lion roar. It took off thankfully. I almost pissed myself. True story.

@@365headhunter3 yeah maybe I can get the explorer back on the rd soon, I finally acquired some tools and I’m gonna work on getting the water pump off tomorrow, I borrowed a battery charger the other day and got it started and it was staying running and wasn’t sputtering out like it was, maybe it was just bad gas idk but the motor is good Dude, the oil looks good, one step at a time, I’m trying to stay optimistic, every year since I started a UA-cam channel something happens and I miss arrowhead season but maybe this year I can get back in it and kill it like I did in my 20’s, getting mobile again and getting back to work is my first priority though, Tinky and John just moved an hour away and we see them more than anybody and they’re not gonna be around to help us out anymore either so I really need to get mobile again asap, I walked to town and back in the pouring rain earlier and I didn’t have anyone to call for a ride, you know maybe everything happens for a reason Don idk but despite everything I’m feeling more optimistic about shit, I think a change is coming, Have A Good Un Brother👊🏹

@@365headhunter3 dam Bud that sucks, I’ve been push mowing for 3 years, tinky and John’s new place has a monster lawn and they’re looking for a riding lawn mower, they’re up in Rome now in artifact heaven, their property is full of chunks of beautiful chert, the neighbor’s have tilled feilds and creeks full of chert everywhere, I think my nephews are gonna start killing it with the arrowhead’s especially if they get permission to look those fields and I’m definitely headed up there too when I get mobile again.

Good side notched piece Don! I guess I’m gonna have to break out the flashlight this year!😂 I’m going to try out a Jon boat tomorrow , has a 25hp with a console/steering wheel. Tired of tracking all the mud into our bass boat. We should have better quality videos this year as we just bought 2 new iPhones. I got the iPhone 13 pro max and the video quality is awesome 👍 enjoyed watching brother 👍👍👍

Wuz up broham, this is the first year I've hunted at night. My spot has no houses around so nobody to get spooked. It is alot cooler and I think actually easier to see points rather than squinting in the blazing sun. That's kool about the upgrades, cant wait till ya start pumping out dem videos again. Its been two weeks with no pullls and I'm going nutz. They should have dem maters picked ina bout a week or two.

I had a professor of archeology at the Dixon Mounds museum tell me that artifacts that appear crude or "hurried" wasn't because of the person's lack of skills but mostly due to the lack of good materials. But that isn't always the case either. He told me that those points that appear quickly made were just that. Produced in haste. There wasn't a lot of time to sit and contemplate each each strike as a Knapper or tool maker. These were tools made at the time of slaughter or just before a major hunt in the colder months before winter hit. As for the super nice, superbly made artifacts, we're produced during times of leisure. Most likely during the winter months when building fires for warmth also gave opportunity for heat treating flint. That's when I realized that most of the crude points that I have found weren't made from heat treated materials. He also added that the individual tools only had to serve its purpose one time. And because most travel was done on foot, unless the tool meant something special, it was left behind. Which explains quite a bit. His name was Prof. Hahn
I think that's how it's spelled. Anyway, sorry to ramble. I love talking artifacts.
