It's so great to see how much the organization is emphasizing the power of music in worship. I've actually have never seen a live orchestra perform the kingdom songs. My father has told me about the orchestra he performed in back in the 60's that would perform at the conventions. I always thought that would have been fun. This video is great inspiration both spiritually and musically. Thanks for posting and greetings from Eugene, Oregon, USA :)
Rod - excuse my belated answer. If "the organization" had really been emphasizing the power of music in worship just as the Bible does in so many places, they wouldn't have curtailed any music making live in their Kingdom Halls the world over. I have been playing violin in the GSO which is a private enterprise here in Germany and we have enjoyed giving concerts for a couple of years, but since recently the Watchtower Soc. by their European Branch in Selters have put a stop to these Glorification Symphony Orchestra activities. A shame.
What's wrong with "wholesome" entertainment for international delegates of a religious convention? And who yearns for living in the past, let's say under the Roman yoke in the 1st century?
Were you there two thousand years ago?? From what I know the brothers always welcomed the apostles and traveling older men. They had food they gave them dinner in their homes, and encouraging discussions. And Israelite culture was full of singing as well as hospitality...so you are much uninformed. This is called hospitality...
@@flamingpieherman9822 Well, not there two thousand years ago, however, present 52 years ago in Nürnberg 1969 as a Violin 1-section member of the Watchtower Convention Orchestra, and from 2010 till recently a member of the central European Glorification Symphony Orchestra. My "uninformed" background of Bible knowledge is somewhat compensated by daily Bible reading, shocking accounts notwithstanding, like the ones about killer-priest Phinehas and the divinely sponsoured slaughtering of the Midianites in Numbers (Moses 4th book). Sorry for my belated reply.
@@hansjuergenkohlhaas871 I was not replying to you I was replying to the original comment... not sure why you brought up the midianites? Those were the ones who were immoral and served other gods even though related to the Israelites and tried to get a false Prophet to curse them. You mean that divinely-inspired? Merely reading through the Bible and yet not getting the sense of what was going on back then doesn't make any person spiritual
@@flamingpieherman9822 Thanks for clarifying. Yes, divinely-inspred report about divinely-sponsoured dual murder. Vengeance "legalized". That's what the kids get at divinely authorized Christian meetings.
Our German brothers do so well with Orchestra! Beautiful!! Guess this is where our waltzes and symphonies originated...so makes sense.

I remember as a teenager in the 70s here in Florida USA always watching the orchestra perform I wish we still had these
@Matthias Abrahham I guess you mean "mysterial".
