Farming Simulator 22 is here!
It has been a long time coming, but we are finally jumping back into one of my most popular series on the channel, Farming Simulator. We will be playing on the US based Elmcreek map and, as always, will be playing the Start From Scratch game-mode where we start with basically nothing but $500,000 and no tractors or land or anything else. Can we work our way up to being able to purchase and run a full Production Chain, one of the new features in this year's game? Will the Seasons game mode be too much of a challenge to overcome? Come watch the excitement that can only compare to watching grass grow...because it literally is just watching grass grow, lol.

New to the channel? Still here and still loving the series. I have started a series on the same map on the same difficulty and currently learning from my mistakes 😂
Yeah, definitely making my fair share, though I think I'm getting better with some things. I am finding out that seasons is pretty challenging on hard mode (and potentially a bit boring) since you can only really do anything with your crop once a year. I'm hoping to diversify at some point though with animals and other crops...just takes time.

i am on the Seasons OFF to help with the overwhelming Learning curve!! One thing was the order of work to be done. Harvesting, Cultivate, Seed, Roller Fertilize Sleep, Fertilize #2, then Harvest again. Like the price chart with the months showing. now trying to syncronize harvest and best months to sell but all with no seasons (seasons OFF) and 1 day per month so 1 sleep = 1 month.
I seriously want to see the look on the officers face when he pulls you over and runs your tag and sees that the same tag is registered to 15 different vehicles and pieces of equipment 😂😂😂😂😂

Getting Lime from a Lime station is a bit cheeper than getting a big bag or pallet or something. Awesome series! Just started (seriously) playing it myself and also till figuring out sooo much
Hello. I got this game for free on my PS5 plus subscription. What does liming the soil do? Why is it necessary/important?
1m³ = 1000L* = 1T* = 1000Kg
* The weight of 1000L = 1T when using the density of Water.
1 t = 1000 kg
1 kg = 1000 g
1 m = 1000 mm
1 m = 100 cm
etc. = etc.
Metric system is simple as that 😀
I assume New Holland T6 is a good tractor, stayer is good too just a bit blocky.

Even with the repair, I assume the used items are still cheaper than brand new...though I didn't actually do the math since I haven't bought used yet.

I love your gameplay videos, but I think the reason why you are doing very little progress in one video it's because you are waisting much time on one section (buying truck etc) making your videos even longer.

Best option is to wait till the field you want to buy at the beginning of the game is harvested, (best if plowed after) then you buy it, and you got few months till you need tractor, you just wait for used ones, get small - medium one for half price, and spend on 2 field + harvester (not renting) And all other machinery for doing fields is not that bad.
At that point don’t you still need one to sow and fertilize?
It’s not the weight you need for the subsoiler it’s what the implement weighs itself

Been really trying to learn how to play on hardmode efficiently. Currently have start from scratch mode with normal economy until I can really find the sweet spot, because learning it in hard economy just seems like the same game, but it just takes longer to buy stuff. Although I have found a few nice tricks and Im starting to figure out the proper financial management to thrive on hard mode.
I have tried Production system yet, but I'm wondering if I I should have targeted buying one of those first thing (like the flour mill) to maximize what crop I do grow. Other than that, some of the contracts are better profits than others to help fill in the slow months (such as bailing and fertilizing).

Love the series. But how come the game sound is so quite and your voice so loud. The engines sound so good and u can’t even hear them :/
Early videos didn't have sound quite right...it should get better at some point in the series.

Just started the series and it's really useful for someone with 0 FS experience like me. So to be clear, loving it. But, I can't see the stats in the screen becauser your face covers the most important part of the screen. Not trying to be negative but seeing you ads no extra value. Again, loving it except that. Keep up the good work!
I wonder if you get a volume discount at the fill station?
From my experience, it's slightly more expensive to fill up at the fill station (Assuming you mean the Lime Fill Station)...but it's nice to be able to just fill up in one go as opposed to buying a bunch of bags.
About tons and cubic metres. These are 2 different things. Cubic metres mean how much space it will take, like for that trailer - 8 m3, but the weight kg or tons may be different for different things. For example cotton may be very light and take a lot of space, so it will reach 8 m3 earlier than the weight your car/tractor may pull, but stones may look small amount, maybe just 1 m3, but already weight 8 tons or whatever out of your vehicle capability to pull... Hope this will help...

I think they need to rebalance tractor pricing as it forces me to use certain tractors over and over again based on price.
Or, the players can rebalance their mental state and stop being tryhards, just buy the vehicle you wanna drive, not the cheapest or most efficient.
The weight that it is showing you is the weight of the equipment

About the measurements, 1 ton is equal to 1000 kilograms.
I had to look it up and 1 ton (aka 2000 pounds) is approximately 907 kg, BUT 1 METRIC ton is 1000 kg...because Imperial vs Metric, lol.
@@Broyar Hi, think you will find that 1 ton is 2240 pounds ( 1018 kg approx) so they are more or less the same, just saying lol.....
I was confused a bit also cause of the 3 "ton" types. Short ton (us) 2000lbs (approx 900kg), long tonne (British) 2240lbs (1020kg), and metric ton of 2205lbs (1000kg)

Why a subsoiler instead of a plow? I don't understand the situations where you'd wanna use each
In the context of the game, they basically do the same thing. I personally like the shape of the subsoiler better (flat across the back) versus the angled design of the plow.
@@Broyar Ok so if you use a subsoiler, it relieves the "needs plowed" state from a field? If that's the case I'd prefer a subsoiler too, I didn't know that
@@AbleAndersonplows can be used to make new fields where the subsoiler can only plow current fields.
Nice series. I thought I am the only one who prefers the Start from Scratch difficulty. Quick question - I bet I scrolled multiple times through it but I am so blind that I cannot find the button on keyboard for Beacon light. Anyone can please tell me the default button ? Have a great day
Home button for beacon :-)
Keypad 1 and 3 for indicators.
Keybad 2 for hazards.
F to cycle through light stages, and Ctrl+f for high beams

I haven't figured out all of the drop-offs yet because I'm holding my crop until the right time of year to "hopefully" sell as high as possible. Hopefully I get to that point soon though.
