At the end of a sentence, only -an will be pronounced (as a long ā, as in Quran). The other endings aren't pronounced then. This is called pausa in English and I think waqf in Arabic. This is the reason why -an is written with an Alif.

"Ar Rafa`a" is Nominative or Subjective case, not denominative case. As denominative case is also a type of objective case but Indirect while Accusative case is direct objective case
