Mountain Hares

Took me a while to make a new video - windows of opportunity for wildlife have been few of late, but finally one came along! A lovely day sat watching the mountain hares as they chased one another, bopped noses with sheep, and even ran straight at me along the track.

Thank you! It genuinely is quite sad though to see these mountain hares in the winter coats with no snow to hide in. By midday it was too warm for them and they went further up the mountain. Snow was present on some peaks but none on this particular one.

Well, thank you very much for waiting! Popped a disc in my back and it hasn’t been easy to use a camera for the much of this year so far! Felt a bit better this last week though 🙌

It sure is, as the meagre flecks of snow at this height were nothing, the hares began ascended the hills by mid morning. At least on this hill there would be no camouflage for them further up, though nearby peaks did have a some covering (though not enough).
