I bought 2 of them hehehe! Both with the gooseneck but the 40 and 42 mm case......oh and don't forget the sapphire dome. This is for the money an amazing movement! It's chineese but it finds it's origin in Zwitserland. You made the good choise, this movement off Seagull last longer than you!
Mine arrived in the mail today along with the Aesop Tourbillon. Both are beautiful pieces and I'm looking forward to many years of use. Thanks for the review.
I have 6.5" wrists and I prefer 39-40mm watches. I would get the 40mm version of this, but I prefer the dial on the 38mm. Hopefully the 38 case doesnt look too small.
Yeah I'd like to see that list video! This one looks great but I'd like a shorter lug to lug and I really don't want a hand winding watch. Automatic or quartz for me. I need a nice 30 minute chronograph. Been looking for a while. By the way I have my own brand of straps if you'd like one to review.
Never understood the hype around chronographs. Every video has the chronometer hand ticking, but let’s be real-people just want to see the big second hand swoosh. No one actually uses it as a timer
I am in need of a panda chrono in my collection and still contemplating if I should pull the trigger on this as my first choice is the Orient Neo70 solar but that is a bit too big for my 6.25inch wrist. This fits my list except for the fact that I prefer the dial and hands of the 40mm. Maybe I will pull the trigger one day
I was also considering the Orient Neo70 for a long time but the size put me off. A chronograph also wears bigger than a diver in my opinion. That’s why I went for the Sugess. There are a lot of options in 38mm/40mm on Aliexpress - just browse a bit 👍🏻
@@quality_times yeah, there are a lot of 38/40mm options hence am still 'waiting' for the right panda to show up. Prefer an affordable auto/manual or solar but not the usual battery powered quartz. As you have pointed out, chronograph watches wear larger than divers (most likely due to the dive bezel that makes diver looks smaller) despite the same diameter hence it is rare to get a chronograph under 40mm nowadays. Have a few larger chronographs but still fall back to my 39mm and 40mm ones haha.
A most insightful and comprehensive review. Thank you. With this Sugess, I think the Seagull 63 finally came of age. The Seagull 63 has long been recognised as a classic. But, maybe, it wasn't so loveable... For me, the Sugess Panda Chronometer looks like the finished product. A truly beautiful design; and one for the Ages. (I hope Sugess realise this).
I just received this watch that I got during the 11.11 sale. Overall, it's beautiful and it's a nice watch for the price. However, one thing that is really bothering me, is that the chronometer hand doesn't line up with the 0 position (12 o'clock). It sits right in the middle of 0 and 1s. I mean, I get it, it's not the most expensive mechanical chronograph out there, and there are some things I can live with at this price point, but damn, if you are going to make a chronograph, better be sure that the chronograph hand lines up at 0, since the point of a chronograph is to record the exact time. Kinda bummed about this and I'm not really sure what to do, or if there even is something I can do. I know that shipping it back to China with tracking is not worth the cost...
Thanks for your review. This Sugess is on my ‘list’ I’ve found a white dial version with just indexes, no numbers at the 12 and 6 which is the one I’ll be going for. Would love to see a list of other Chronographs, I have a Yema RallyGraff Tarmac and noticed you put up a picture of the Radcliffe Chronograph another one I’d consider. Thanks again, cheers
Or... you could buy a VK63 powered Pulsar which is Seiko inside and out with the bonus you get the full mechanical chronograph and a decent Seiko quartz engine to power it all. I paid £14 for my last VK63, its a bit beat up and is going to end up as a spares donor for the other 10 VK63's I have, they are seriously cool hybrids and I think the most I paid for any of 'em was about £30 which is a much rarer all rose gold and carbon fibre dial variant. I'd be keen for this watch if they did a sterile but I have an aversion of Chinese names that just suck on my dials, I have had long conversations with folks over in Shenzen but their biggest market is China and these names mean something totally different to them than us... what on earth is a SUGESS, a Bliger, a Aged Girl?
@@quality_times aliexpress is a site that sells only bootleg companies. The reason you get incredible value for your money is it’s a “high end “ fake that puts their own name on the dial. A $1k fake Daytona will be incredible value for the money to. Doesn’t mean I would want it. But the real watch not the Sugess version. If that’s too expensive then buy a high quality Seiko. Trust me the value will be better.
@@TheCdM1981 I get what you’re saying. But you can’t get a „high quality Seiko“ in 2022 anymore unless you spent 400$+. Entry level Seikos, like the Seiko 5 series is inferior when it comes build quality, finishing and choice of materials. I’m saying that being a big fan of Seiko Watches and having several in my collection. Still, that’s why Brands like Sugess and San Martin are getting more popular nowadays. You’ll get a well build mechanical watch for the price that Seiko used to be going for.
@@quality_times in the end it’s a bootleg watch. Whether “popular” or not. It doesn’t exempt them from being more than just a “homage”. They are clearly and intentionally making watches intended to fool people at quick glances. Aliexpress doesn’t sell “real” things. Sugess isn’t sold at respected watch stores or online shops. Says it all. A true watch collector wouldn’t purchase a Sugess. Who do you call for warranty issues, who services the watch, who replaces it if there’s a defect, etc. promoting watches like this, is what ruins the hobby imho.
@TheCdM1981 relax sir. Some folks like the look and dont have cash for $$$ watches. A bit dramtic saying it ruins the hobby. Besides, it's not an exact clone of anything. Nobody has the patent to "white dial watch with 2 black circles." You get disgusted by people wearing these, and those people are equally disgusted by snobbery.
Just found your channel from your facebook post. Good content and good luck on getting to 1k.
thanks man!
That's a really cool piece Michael. I have my eyes on a similar one with a blue dial.
really? which one are you eyeing right now?
The space for straps is too big, though. Hamilton looks better?
Already had two for this specific 38mm model ❤🔥
♻ but Still searching/büying for non-working ones (for repair or for parts) ♻

Switzerland -Jawohl!
Super Uhr !
These are quasi-disposable. Daily this? Five years tops...
interesting point of view. what makes you say that?
Absolutly not. Lip rallye panda is the best.
No way. Dial doesnt make the cut for me on that one.
Very well rounded review, I'm definitely a fan of this piece, in fact it's probably my favorite.
thank you! I completely agree, it’s a fantastic watch.
QC question : 2 years latter, does it still work ? 🙏

awesome man! enjoy your two beautiful watches :)
How long did it take to arrive
There is a blue dial version that looks amazing however it's only available in 40mm
And in 42 mm....

The V1 is missing the marks at 3,9. Yours is V3. I've started a small collection of this movment. The San Martin 62 mas chronograph is my favourite
Well damn, I want the 40mm but it doesn't come with the star second hand.
Thanks for measuring and showing the curved lugs. I have a small 6.25" wrist do that helps.
you’re welcome my friend! :)

I think all watch collectors love a Panda Dial..
Will this be wearable on a 5.7 inch wrist?
I think it should work!
I got one of these around 6 months ago. Love it

I was about the bite the new Timex Marlin Chronograph, that God this looks way better and has better specs.
I have this. A very loved piece in my collection.
it’s a stunning watch isn’t it?

I bought the 1963 chronograph from the suggest official page and it get lost. Sugess never gave me a solution, I was scamed
These are very nice watches. Mine checked on the timegrapher out of the box less than 5 sec per day.
Si this a homage watch? Nice Review.
not quite sure, but I think it has a lot of similarities with either a Breitling Panda Chronograph or the Hamilton Intra-Matic.

thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely make it happen then :)
Really good review, thank you!
Great looking watch, nice review!
Where can I buy one can you share link?
Wondering why the logo is different
Can you do sugess tourbillion?
Great review! Very in depth 👌
Looks like they broke into a zenith factory with that seconds hand.
true lol
Looks great.
hi can i know the lug width of this watch ?
because i dont know which size of the strap i need to purchase
it’s 18mm.
I think there may be differences in the regulator. The 38mm have a swan neck, but the others may not.

The Seagull 1963 or one of it's many clones is the one to go for then.
How easy is it to change batteries in them? I hear it can be quite tricky.
Thank you for this review it was perfect ans it answered all my questions.
Thank you for watching! I am glad that I could help! :)
Stop reviewing Aliexpress watches with this bootleg company.
why? they offer incredible value for money.
