As wearers we are so more critical and observant than Joe public.
Honestly I have changed style from week to week with different lengths and one thing it has highlighted to me is that people are not that bothered about looking at “you” lol.
Everyone is wrapped up in their own worlds which is great for us wearers 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey man, following this whole story. Ordered my hair system, will be getting it done at a salon and documenting it too. Cheers and thanks for all you do

First system, that’s a graduated hairline and that’s the problem with Poly is that you can’t pull off the natural graduated look without SHINE. Third guy; if you glue a system to the head and then cut off the lace that’s not glued you actually get a perfect fit but it had to be done right with a razor blade. The Heydek guys can pull it off nicely

Hi samuel, is it true that poly doesn't allow for graduated hairline?

    • @sammmuelspaul1946
      @sammmuelspaul1946 4 роки тому +1

Sean Tan well it does and it doesn’t. The problem with poly is that it shines so with a graduated hairline there is less hair in the front which means more visible poly which means more shine and therefore it’s more visible and obvious. However if you are very careful and creative you can cut the poly in a sort of zigzag around the graduates hairs and if the hair isn’t too thin it will look pretty good. It has to be a super thin skin in my opinion though so .003 base. I think lace will always look more natural though so I always recommend that but the knots HAVE to be bleached! Most places don’t do it well enough so I order blonde and then dye the hair myself leaving perfectly bleached blonde knots. Poly units are V looped which also doesn’t look natural and there is no way to bleach them. Hope that wasn’t too complicated, I can simply it if you need!

I've seen this method were stylists who sell hair systems cut the hair system to size with a razor/knife to make it to the correct size. It's possible to do that and a common practice.

  • @toddk4115

People don't associate an aged face with hair especially a clean shaven face which shows your age more if you are generally perceived as older looking. Unless you have really strong bio hair on the sides/back then a full head of thick hair will always look odd. You see guys in their 60's with full heads of hair but they have super thick side/back bio hair.

.heydecke does an awesome job but I find that type of tape with thé holes in it doesnt work well and the guy has mushroom head where its parted..some bangs would take care of that hairline...density and the hairline are the common challenges ..easy to overcome density harder to make the hairline look real. Heydecke does great fades and haircuts..unfortunately in my experience most stylists in the nonsurgical hair replacement industry give terrible haircuts and fades..I wish we had a heydecke in Ft Lauderdale...fortunately we have an abundance of vidéos on youtube on how to do a fade and get the lace hairline better

  • @patrick_k_

There is a tape you can use on the front of the system. It's called 3 Mil Lace tape by Walker. It's really difficult to work with the first time because its veeeery thin and is easy to mess up taking it off of the tape backing. It's essentially just a thin layer of glue applied to tape backing and once you apply it to the system, it acts more like glue than tape. The cleanup hints towards that because you have to clean it off like glue instead of tape. But it does make the front of a lace system lay down like glue instead of tape.

I’m 47 years old people say I look a lot younger I discovered hair systems about 10’years ago but never had tbe balls to follow through , however I at last have found the nerve to go through with it and am having it fitted very soon , I’m nervous for the outcome because I have been researching and looking at many videos on the internet and have seen a few not so good ones and many excellent ones ! My hope is that mine won’t look bad when fitted and is the correct density for me

Question: do you have any hair system stylist that you’d recommend in the Tampa Bay Area? Or just south Florida area in general?

Lordhair and lavivid are both options if you want to do it all yourself! Or you can find a stylist and buy a unit from them, and they will cut it and install it for you!

Would you critique me? Been wearing hair since 24...just turned 39 and the same style isnt working as much as it used to...also been buying my own wholesale and get them cut in profesionally although past 2 i measured myself and just cut my first in yesterday. Unfortunately no bleached knots H1b color...wear it down so not too obvious
The stylists suck in my area so I do it myself now

Great vid...........Heydecke is incredible and when I had my clinics this is the level of replacement we tried to produce.....well at least when they left the clinic......then at the hands of the clients sometimes.....the nightmare began...LOL!! A lot of times the new deliveries in vids.....the hair systems have been prepped before cutting....ie..........blended and thinned.....shampooed.....conditioned........and a lot of times after they are dried a leave in conditioner and silicone based spray before flat ironing..........yeap......using those heat tools with silicone and smoothing down the hair......I cannot say smoothing down the cuticule cause..well what is left of this faux hair during being processed......not much......the deadest of dead hair.......but the heat aspect really can change the look of a new or higher mileage replacement.............I think I have had too much coffee already........rant over!!! Cheers!

Enjoy these review videos jake . Useful tips to and the German company Haydek I think they're called always do fantastic work. For the guy with thin bio hair I agree it looks unnatural. I'd be interested to see him use hair fibres to build up the density to create a more natural appearance and merging of his bio hair and the unit.

I would like to see a vid that addresses the back of the head where the system meets the bio-hair. If it is not cut just right it can be an obvious giveaway plus the colour can change due to oxidization and is not always as noticable from the front. It may only show up in photos or under a certain type of light unknown to the wearer. Also how would micropigmentation affect the appearance of the scalp and hairline if at all?
I appreciate your work very much! Thank you.

The one about 4:30, seems they placed it too low , or maybe should have been more of a V shaped hairline to fit face shape.
