Wow, talk about timing. I just made a Kakigori/Patbingsu, a few days ago, for the first time. I had made homemade mochi and adzuki beans for toppings, plus kiwi, strawberries and blue berries. For the syrup, I just used straight up sweetened condensed milk. It was delicious for a really hot day and my kids loved it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I want to try it out sometime. :)
Looks so delicious! It's finally cooling down into the high 70's and then high 60's at nighttime here in Washington state but it was up to 100F day/ high 70's night all last week. Wish I could've brought my manual hello kitty shave ice maker from Hawaii (gave to my niece instead.) I'm sure even the dog would munch on some plain shave ice too

To me, there's nothing better than condensed milk and azuki on shave ice anyway...... Adding the matcha powder to the milk, and matcha ice cream sends it over the top! OH! MY! GOSH! YUM!!!
