I picked up an old VCR CRT TV this past weekend from some guy who said it was sat in his shed for the last 20+ years. He wasn't sure if it worked but he said when he put it in the shed, it worked then. Even offered for me to bring it back the next day if it didn't work. Paid $10 and it's picture quality and VCR are probably in the best condition I've ever seen.

It's probably a bit out of your way but there's a huge yearly yard sale in Johnson city TN called the Tree streets yard sale. It's this saturday. I'm usually a thrifter, but I have known many to go to this one and bring back great finds so i'm thinking about going myself.

I have a question. Do you keep detailed track of what you pay for items or is it just your best estimate? I am wondering how this will all play out at tax time for me. I don't remember half the time exactly what I paid for an item, so I don't know the exact "profit" made. I'm still learning how to keep the records as well as how to sell. I enjoy watching your adventures. Your good natured ribbing is typical for guy friends and a lot like watching a sit com! My store is small but growing. I try to learn from you and others who have been doing this for a long time. I get a lot of enjoyment when someone finds something on my site worth buying. I liken it to fishing, and my items are bait. Haha! Your videos help your sales, but I am pushing 70 and not confident enough in my tech knowledge to get a vlog going. I don't use EBAY anymore, just Mercari. Trying to list on EBAY was like filling out a resume for a job, but Mercari is simple.
I use a separate bank account to track money in money out. I highly highly suggest getting my reseller genie as it will pay huge dividends for you sanity going forward. Code commonwealth gets you 15 percent off your first month. There are other options including spreadsheets but I think time is better spent on sourcing and selling.

I just don't move stuff very fast. When I see the plush that Dave buys and sells, I get excited thinking mine will sell, but nope, even with awesome ones they sit here looking at me day after day. Haha! My best sale so far, was a PS Nightmare Before Christmas Game. I paid 3 and sold it for 35.
