- Astronaut and Ireland tourism ambassador, Chris Hadfield, visited Ireland recently. Here he gives a stirring rendition of the classic, Danny Boy, in a busy McGrory's pub, County Donegal.
just a reminder, this guy had been to space. we literally sent a rockstar to space everybody

He was the same in the Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa Hotel and McGrorys Bar in Inishowen on his visit. He would not leave until he had greeted everyone. A gentleman.
Proud to say i am a fellow countrywoman of his, he is such an all round brilliant guy. And visiting my 2nd favourite place in the world!

Met him yesterday at book signing in Easons, Foyleside. Huge crowd there. He was only supposed to be there for an hour but stayed for almost two so that he could see everyone - a real gent.
He did the same in Ottawa, Canada. Two hours turned into five or more! A true gentleman indeed!
Same in Oshawa. He's a great guy, and an awesome speaker!

What a real legend. Didnt even know he was visiting Derry/Donegal,would have loved to have met this living legend.
This was my Late Mother's favorite song.. She knew a young man she was good friends with and he was killed in WWII but by a freak accident. He was struck by lighting going into his plane...

Capo 2nd fret. The names I give are the names of the shapes. Technically a 'G' shape will produce an 'A' chord, just in case you're playing along with others say on piano. The song is in key of A: the capo lets us play it with easier shapes!
