Electric Tractor: Rolls for the very first time!

I roll the electric tractor conversion in my driveway and test out the regenerative braking!

I've been working on converting this 1950's International Harvester 300 Utility tractor from gas to electric.
As you see it in the video, a motor is connected to the transmission with an adapter plate and a solid coupler to send power to the transmission and PTO.
The electric motor is a Motenergy brushless DC. It's an odd custom one, which is why I got it essentially for free, but it's similar to a ME1117.

The motor controller is by RoboteQ. It's a 60V max, with all sorts of great features. It's highly programmable - a very neat controller.

Glad to see the tractor moving using an electric motor. This conversion is turning out real neat. The noise and fumes from internal combustion are least suitable for plowing for food crops. 😱
