I purchased the one from Amazon about a year ago and love it. I'm all for supporting the small businesses, but not when they take advantage of us and sell things for outrageous prices. What I love about Pink and Main is that they didn't raise the price to be double or even triple the price of something they did not invent and is only adopted by the crafting community. I love that and I will support them. What I won't support is these companies doubling or tripling the price because they added their name to an exciting, much cheaper, product. Which is what happened with those other brushes everyone has jumped on. In my opinion, the only company that did anything unusual and good to their brushes was Taylored Expressions. They at least went to the effort of color coding them, making them all the same size and changing the bristle color to white. Otherwise, all the others are all just like the cheap ones on Amazon. Sorry for ranting, but I'm seeing this too often on prices for items in this craft we love so much and it isn't fair to us. I did notice you called them makeup brushes and not craft brushes...lol This was a fantastic review...thank you so much for sharing!
Purchased the one from Pink and Main back in Feb and they're just now coming today! I look forward to trying them out! All about supporting our craft companies for sure! Thanks for the review!
For those of you with hand issues, cramps etc, I have an idea. Buy some cheap foam clay (it's light and air dries ). Make a large ball of it and mould it over the handle. Then, grip it as you want to, a position that is comfortable . Allow it to dry and then you will have a made to measure brush grip.
Thanks for the review. I am sure they are fantastic brushes but with limited funds and just having bought 18 of the brushes with the handles I can't afford to follow the next trend and disregard brushes that to be honest I am really happy with. Love your channel. Hugs, Fran. X
I have 3 brushes. I use my 3 brushes for primary colors family. I will be purchasing 2 more of the white brushes to use with my white ink and embossing powder.
I will be buying the new brush and may try the diamond shaped ones. I am on a strict budget due to disability so I will go with Amazon. I am a supporter of small business but im sure both of them are from China. Your comparison is why im trying these. Thank you
Hi iv got the tooth brush brushes I had them as makeup brushes for a few years but I have bought some for blending now the brushes you are reviewing I have ordered 5 off aliexpress which probably be on the same as amazon but the price is so different mine have only cost £2.69 with free shipping I am in the uk
Hi Linda. That seems like a great deal. I don't mind paying for the Pink and Main brush. It isn't my favorite to use so I will only be getting one. Thanks for watching.
I just found your channel and watched your video. Thank you for the comparison. It’s a few months later and the prices may have changed because now Pink and Main is three dollars more expensive than Amazon, and if you’re a prime member for Amazon shipping is free. The shipping ends up making a huge difference to me. I’ve been considering buying one, but I also would like to compare the Altenew brush as well, which is only a dollar more than the Amazon if I am correct, but then must consider shipping.
I believe they are all the same. I am all for supporting crafty businesses but if the exact same thing is cheaper somewhere else. (and it is not their original stamps or something) then who doesn't like to save money lol. Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate it.
Thanks for this review. I don’t plan to buy them at this time. I like my Tim Holtz blenders. You really only need one handle and a bunch of interchangeable pads and you’re good to go! I haven’t tried the makeup brushes, so I don’t know yet from my own experience whether I’d prefer them.
Thanks for the video- Based on your comparison, I think I will order at least one of each and try it out for myself. I am leaning toward the Pink and Main because I would prefer to build the color. Thanks for the great comparison!!!
I like the softer look of the street and main over the one from amazon. I don’t mind building my colors. FYI, I purchased the long handled makeup brushes from Dollar General and they work great. Thanks for this video!
i think they are pretty cool. I will probably be ordering one in the next month or two. with arthritis I think both the blending brushes and the traditional blenders it makes blending difficult. the thing I do like about the blending brushes is that you can get into tiny spaces with the smaller brushes.
I can't wait to try it..i will be buying Pink and Main ..love to support and it's not much difference! I have Amazon brushes and Trinity and like both but I want to buy taylored expressions..not bc I need them but I love the colors..lol
someone (sorry, can't remember who) did a video with Pink&Main (during Creativation) showing the way one is supposed to hold the 'makeup' brushes. It is NOT a toothbrush but everyone seems to hold them as such. Not designed that way. And, there is also a video showing how to correctly hold the new ergonomic brushes as well. Both work perfectly, if held as designed.
Thanks so much for posting this video. I have been thinking of ordering this style of brush and feel even better about making a purchase....I saw them first at TCP. I do have a question: How many would you recommend purchasing? Should I get one per color, or are they fairly easy to clean? Thanks so much!
I think I will be purchasing maybe 3 or 4 more over time. For sure 1 for my dye inks and a separate one for oxide inks. I am not too worried about mixing colors or anything. I think it depends on you. How clean of a crafter you are. I just wipe them on a baby wipe when done and they are fine to use on my next project. I hope that helps even a little. Thanks so much for watching.
Thanks for sharing. I think these are too pricy. My other brushes work fine. I have carpal tunnel so none created would be perfect. I will stick to the makeup brushes as I can get several for the price that these are.
I like them and they seem to blend well but with ra, I think my hands would not do well. I like my makeup brushes so since I'm on a limited budget, I guess I'll stick to them. Tfs
No I will not buy that one as I already have the brushes and they work great for me. I don't have the room or budget. They at are bigger and take up more space. I have decided to use what I have and not keep buying things that I already have that works for me. I have so any things that I have brought and not used yet. Thanks for sharing
Not sure...I think I wanna get the NEW old school ones...they're dome shaped...no hard edges to show - that ring you get if you don't start blending off to the side first & then take it to the paper/cs.
ARKtistically Creative oh I have some of those, they are one of the new products Scrapbook.com is selling. I haven’t had a chance to try them yet. Thanks for the tip! I hate that circle!
I will support Pink n Main on this brush as a percentage of her purchases goes to the MDA. Plus these are for people with hand issues and need a more comfortable handle. Due back in stock at Pink n Main end of February
@@Tiffany.Solorio each P & M purchase supports critical research in the Neuromuscular Disorders Field. I love supporting small businesses that give back like this. The others you mentioned are totally over priced make-up brushes and aren't taking steps to cut down on the environmental impact that their packing has on or world and pocket books. You don''t need a big pretty box and plastic tray to sell your brushes.
I, too, am all for supporting our crafty companies. However, they do need to sell quality products. I purchased the Pink and Main Blender Brush and it fell completely apart the first time I used it! Totally not ok.
I am very sorry to hear that your brush fell apart. We have put these through some tough tests without failure. I am happy to help if you email me at info@pinkandmain.com We stand behind our products and want you to be happy. -Michelle
I live off a fixed income but slowly earn gift cards from surveys so I will be getting the Amazon one since it will be free from them. Otherwise I would be buying the pink & main one. To support them.

Thanks for sharing, not sure if I will be buying this one as I have many of the make-up brush style and they work great.
Thank you for short version. Thumbs up.
I just received my order of 2 pink & main brushes yesterday. I haven’t been able to play with them yet, but I’m pretty excited to give them a try!

I've been curious about these blending brushes. I probably will try one eventually when I am ready to place an order for other items.

Carol Hodges you will ditch the sponges after you try the brushes....less waste of ink and smoother applications
I find cleaning the brushes are a pain
IMHO the Pink & Main brush appears to have a smoother finish appearance. I just preordered 3 brushes from P&M

Looks like you could use them by holding the handle between your forefinger and middle finger while keeping your hand in a loosely open palm.
Ordered both pink and main was on preorder! Thanks for sharing!

@@PinkandMain Thanks for replying to her. I can't wait until they are back in stock. I want to grab a few more. I love the matte finish on them.
I love mines, got mines before they became the new best thing and more expensive thanks to UA-camr Mary Polanco.
I love Mary. I met her for a brief minute at Creativation. She is very nice.
