    It would be nice to have some information about ambient light and screens that mitigate its effect on image contrast.

    I bought this Benq ht4550i...Upgraded from an Optoma uhd 65, which was great ..The Benq blew it away in side by side comparison..brighter, more contrast and ..no bulb..4 led, runs cooler and lower fan noise..I found the dongle to be slower than my 4k Roku ultra, so I disabled it..If like Me and cant afford the Sony or jvc high end, this projector will blow you away for quality in a dedicated darker room..Best Buy in my opinion...

      Hey Bill, love your comments about the 4550i, so much so that I'm buying one pretty much based on your comparison to the uhd 65, which was something I always wanted, so cheers brother!👍👍

      Yes this projector is very good in a dark room. Mine is a 150" dalite matte white screen. I think it's 3200 lumens could support a 180" screen in a dark room.. I am enjoying a guiness stout..cheers also
